Definitely the best cider mill I've been to! Love that you can walk around for free and that they don't charge entry to walk around and explore. There are so many cute stations for kids to play and even feed farm animals. Lots of great places to take cute, fall family pics too. Cider and donuts are super yummy! My favorite donut is cinnamon sugar, of course. Ask for the warm donuts and they'll get them fresh off the fryer for you in the back room - otherwise they'll give you the ones that have been sitting up front in the case. The apple cider slushy is a must! Only thing I don't like is the outhouse bathrooms - not my thing. It didn't smell bad in the main area but outhouses are just plain gross. I also don't like having to pump my own water with a foot petal to wash my hands. I guess I am just a city girl! Glad I didn't use the bathroom until after I ate! Hay ride was cute and the perfect length. The driver was super friendly and chatty. It's nice they charge $5/family rather than per person. The corn maize costs per person but we didn't go this time. It looked legit though. We came opening day of 2016 on a Friday afternoon and it wasn't too packed. From what the driver said it gets super busy, especially on weekends - so if crowds aren't you thing, you may want to consider going during the week. This place totally rocks! Our favorite cider mill! Great for kids and adults! They have a pumpkin patch, train rides, hay rides, small farm (pigs, chickens, goats, rabbits). Cinnamon sugar or plain donuts are $8/do. Slush ciders are $3/ea. BRING CASH! They don't accent credit cards. They do have an atm but who wants to pay a service fee to pull money out ? Their donuts are the best! Especially when warm. My family and I got here at 7pm and immediately got in line for the tractor/hayride that takes you to the pumpkin patch and corn maze. The corn maze doesn't close until 8, so we thought we had plenty of time. We got on the hayride (which we paid $10 for) and then got to the corn maze and the driver wouldn't let us off. He said the corn maze was closed. We asked if we could look at the pumpkin patch and he said no, that it was too dark. So essentially we paid $10 for a 5 minute tractor ride when he had no intention of letting us do any of the subsequent activities we were planning on participating in. Super disappointing and feel like the driver should've been upfront with us about the activities being closed, and we wouldn't have paid for the hayride. read more

The parking attendants are basically children, and had my car, which had a handicapped person and a handicapped symbol on the license plate, waiting in a dangerous situation that could have injured everyone inside. For whatever reason, we still decided to park and explore the property. They don't have good signage, so it's not clear what costs money, and what doesn't, and then they don't ban smoking, yet the facility is full of families. I had my two-month old son with me, and my nieces and nephews were there too, and it was nearly impossible to not walk through a cloud of cigarette smoke. Yuck. read more

I really wasn't going to bother with this, but the more I think about how it has ruined the last remaining weekend of Halloween for us, the more I think it's well deserved. I booked a hayride and bonfire online, which happened to pop up on an event finder website after having browsed Fall events. Not realizing that it was a third party event organizer, as I've never been to this place ever, nor to Northville, I assumed it was akin to the drastically overpriced Wiard's orchard at which you take a hayride and get off and have a little cider and donut by the fire. At $15 per person vs $25, it sounded like quite a deal. Boy was I wrong. Upon entrance, we were ushered a good mile to the back forty to park, with no directions and only young teenagers waving flags. I rolled down the window to ask where the party was taking place and he knew nothing. By the time we reached the front where the donut shop and country store were, we saw a ton of empty spaces. I asked one of the young workers what the deal was and he said the front lot was handicapped parking. My mother, who is 76 years old, would have appreciated parking there rather than walking all over. We had cider and donuts. The sign outside said hotdogs - somewhere, but I saw no evidence of any real food. $11 for a dozen and $9 for a half dozen. Seriously? I handed a 7 year old behind the counter (which I found neither cute nor legal) a $20 bill for the donuts and 2 coffees,and she flung the $5 in change back at me. No alternative for coffee, just plain white sugar. I ended up throwing the rest of the donuts away because they were so hot when they put them into the bag that they just flattened into a doughy pile of mush in the outside cold. They women at the store had no clue what I was talking about and began asking who organized our event, as if I was supposed to know that. She then checked a list of events and found that ours was upstairs, which my mother was unable to climb. I went up, by that time it was at least 7 and the event had started at 6. Over loud music, the event planners told us we were the first ones there and that if we wanted, we could go on the hayride at our leisure. Why was I not surprised. The hayride, which required walking back to the parking lot we could have parked in, consisted of several hard-as-rocks packed bales of hay as opposed to the loose, soft hay that would normally be on a wagon, combined with the driver plowing ahead at full speed, lasted probably 10 minutes at best. People were flying up off the hay and were commenting on how awful it was. No view, no decor, just a boring hayride to a corn maze and back. As we walked back toward the store, the parking lots in front were even more empty with plenty of non handicapped parents and kids heading to their cars. Skipping the bonfire, I stopped back in the store to speak with the only two adults they had on premises. No apology, not even feigned interested. She tried to blame the event planner. When I suggested she put up signs directing people where their event is, she said "we can't possibly keep up with all the events..." even though she literally had a list of events in her hand. Not hard to put a sign up that says "Bonfire party starts upstairs". So I paid $45 for 4 donuts, 2 coffees and a hayride. These people are money makers. They do not care if you have a good time, and frankly, that goes for most of the surrounding orchards and events as well. read more

Sometimes the lines are long but, they move fast! We did the corn maze, and I think the hayride could be longer or more interesting but, overall it's always a good experience. There are a couple other things the kids can do for FREE, like the sides and little corn pit. They can look at the animals, too. It's a good local spot for us. We found this Cider Mill in the paper and thought it looked good, but it was really far away, so I looked it up on Yelp and read the wonderful reviews and decided to try it out . . . AMAZING!!! I wish I would have known about this place as a kid! There is so much to do for FREE, walk around the grounds, look through the fantastic general store, and walk through the children's play area. Someone has put so much thought and love into this Cider Mill and it shows! Like someone else said, there are tons of Kodak moments! There is also a lot of space designated for kids to play on playground-like equipment, run around and see some animals. We went out to the Mill around 11:30am on a Sat in late Sept and did not wait long at all for our donuts and cider . . . which tasted spectacular! They have the lines roped off for a nice, easy flow of traffic. I would recommend you make the drive out to Salem Twp to check this cider mill out! read more

Went here for the first time this weekend. The farm is super cute and the donuts and cider were awesome! The little shop has homemade jams, we got a blueberry one which is awesome. I love fall activities, so I was very excited to visit for my birthday. The whole place is like a farm amusement park- fake animals, Chuck E Cheese-type band, kitschy store, and painted photo ops. The U-pick pumpkin area had grocery store cartons full of pumpkins sitting right behind the fence. The cider was from the grocery store and overcharged by 200%. The bathrooms are disgusting. This farm was an amazing surprise. It's clean and beautiful with a unique and well maintained play area for the kids. Hay rides, high quality craft store, and the most beautiful landscapes. This will quickly become our family's 'cider mill' in the fall, even though it's not actually a cider mill. Great fresh doughnuts and good imported cider will round out your trip, which you can eat on a large porch full of wooden rocking chairs. We've visited just about every cider mill and farm in SE Michigan (and beyond) and as far as a fall afternoon, it gets no better than this. Five stars and two thumbs WAY up. The Disneyworld of local cider mills! This is the nicest (in terms of atmosphere) cider mill I have ever been to. Decorations everywhere, it is clean, fun, decorated to the hilt! I wondered how long it must take to deck this place out. While Wasem's really is king of the donuts, this place more than makes up for it in spirit and stuff to do. From our brief visit to bring cider and donuts to mom and pals at the retirement home, I saw a little train, hay ride, tons of parking, lots of people of all colors and flavors, everyone having a good time, a shop with candy and stuff, a dining room area in case of rain or cold, long lines that disappear fast, a petting zoo, everything laid out really nicely and even so, if you are Waze-crippled (ie you need a map for everything now because your directional sense has been destroyed by a navigation app), there is a big 'you are here' map on site. Oh, and they do Christmas/Holiday here, too! The cider was tasty enough, even though it is pasteurized- there is still lots of sturm and drang at the bottom to make it oh, so cidery. Such a pretty drive out to the country, too. NOTHING about Three Cedars is busted or tired looking. Grass is mowed, it is organized and neat. Barns are brightly painted in classic red and white, with lots of vintage looking signs. Love it. Can't wait to go back just for us! read more

This place was that family fun at all! Everything was way too expensive and so many people got stuck in the mud and they had to pull them out with a tractor including us. It took about 45 minutes to get us out of the mud when they finally got a tractor to pull us out. They should have been better prepared for parking. If you want to go to an orchard and have fun with your family go to someplace like Erwin's Orchard in South Lyon. It's a bit smaller but less expensive and family-friendly. read more

Went today and the place was packed. They say you have to wear a mask but there were tons of people not wearing them and social distancing was not enforced. They have signs telling you to do it but honestly it wasn't possible. We skipped the attracting because it was too crowded and people were definitely not keeping 6 feet apart. I just didn't feel comfortable with my kids and nephews being so close to non mask wearers honestly when they're so young and are constantly trying to remove the mask themselves. We got donuts which were basically thrown at my sister in the bag no joke and they weren't even that great and were falling apart. Super disappointed. My favorite cider mill! The mums, pumpkins, and apples are fresh and crisp. Workers are friendly and helpful. It's decorated beautifully. The corn maze is fun and my teens enjoyed it. The little ones loved playing in the "corn" sandbox. And pushing the storybook themed buttons to hear a fairy tail while watching the animals. Was really not impressed with this place for multiple reasons. To begin with, they didn't limit the number of people. The parking lot was almost full. There were signs up about maintaining social distancing, but can you really expect people to be able to do that if you're packing in people just like in non Pandemic times? Even if Covid weren't an issue, I wouldn't have been happy with my visit. The set up of the Donut Hut is horrible. The cider is kept in a refrigerator case to the left and all the cash registers are just to the right. After you pay for your cider, you have to walk across all the lines to collect it from the refrigerator. This is inconvenient at the best of times. Everything is cash only which is also inconvenient. The donuts tasted old. I got the cinnamon sugar donuts and they had no flavor other than sweet. The worst part was all the hornets flying around outside. All the tables that had cider at them had at least half a dozen flying around. There were some teenagers cleaning the tables and they were making a joke of it by spraying the hornets with the cleaning fluid. A few hornets even got into my bag of donuts. I didn't look into any of the other things like the train because I just wanted to get out. The best part of the experience was seeing the drive through for cider and donuts.
