Upon arrival these guys were friendly and very informative. They assessed the situation and let me know the fan in the unit had been completely destroyed by something getting into it. Both of my outdoor AC unit and the indoor funace/ac were 20 yrs old and not functioning well to begin with, then it started making a rattling sound and was super loud then it just stopped completely, which is the reason I called. Chase was very helpful showing me my different options and explaining the difference between them all, he offered the option of financing and helped me through the payment process and explained clearly when I asked about thier cancelation policy which was as simple as if you cancel then u are refunded your deposite in full no questions asked. The delivery of the unit was complicated as I am the middle unit in my complex so They brought in a crane and Regie helped the incredible operator direct it onto my back deck with no damage to my gutters and precision of placement, he put the new unit in place and had the old unit removed again by crane which is quite a task but such an amazing option to have especially in my situation. He also removed my old furnace/ac in the basement and brought all new equipment down for the following morning. He was a one man show on this job aside from the crane operator, I'm assuming because of the 4th of July the day before, and he crushed it!! The next day Todd and his partner showed up early and orked diligently and effectively! They we're able to come up with solutions with the thermostat and wiring that saved me some dry wall repair, which I greatly appreciate!! Overall my experience was very positive and I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for an honest, reliable, and trustworthy team of employees and buisness!

Several weeks ago I made an appointment for a general routine furnace and a/c inspection and service. They booked me for 6/18...I asked for an early morning appointment and was advised that the closest they could come would be an 0800 to 1100 window. Had not heard anything from them until 6/18 when I called them at 0900 to see if I was scheduled...they confirmed. At 0955 they texted me to advise the tech was running late but would be there shortly. I texted back and asked how many calls the tech had made that morning. I received no response. No one ever showed up. At 1100 I called to reschedule as I couldn't wait around any longer for them. They suggested that I not reschedule as they were several weeks out and couldn't get to me until il mid-August. I couldn't believe that...a long time customer who purchased a full system from them 9 years ago...who has had them service my system every year for both heating and cooling...and this is how they think they should solve a problem that they created. They have absolutely zero problem wasting customer time, and make absolutely no effort in trying to remedy a situation in favor of the customer. I told them that I was taking my business elsewhere. Maybe there has been a change in ownership and/or management, but whatever it is, I'm staying away from them...far away.

I asked him about someone I could trust to check my furnace (as I had smelled gas) and my water heater. I would like to add that both furnace and water heater are from 1994, that's 28 years ago. While I feared the worst that Will would tell me I needed a new furnace and water heater he came over and spent a lot of time checking everything. He explained everything he was checking and found really nothing that was broken. He also found no gas leak with his meters. We talked about the age of the units but to my surprise and extreme happiness he basically said "if it aint broke, then don't fix it! I asked Will to replace my thermostat which was the old mercury kind and came with the 1994 unit and he brought a brand new digital thermostat. Setting it on the wall with extreme care and a wall mount all was good. I was so so impressed with his work ethic, his personality, his great job. About an hour later I felt like I was in a hot spa. It was suddenly 76 degrees in the house. I called him and we decided to reset but it got even worse and reached what looked like 78 degrees. I called him again. I knew he was fully booked but asked him to please please please come back and replace the obviously defective unit I had purchased from him. A couple hours later he was at my door with a brand new thermostat , set it up and its been PERFECT ever since. He did not charge me to come back, and his price for labor was super fair. It was so fair I felt he deserved a monetary tip and I was happy to do that. Of course he told me I didn't have to do that but seemed truly grateful. Based on my experience with Monarch Air and Will, I will never give a thought to ever using anyone else. Their suggestion. - they could fix it, but it would only be temporary, costing $1,000 - $2,000. Since the system was several years old they said I should probably just replace the system. Cost to replace the a/c only? $6,000. Cost to replace the furnace and a/c (the"best" solution - it would be more efficient) - $12,500. I thanked them for the visit and they promised to send me the estimate. I couldn't wait to get them out of my house. This is what I feared from an a/c company - the best solution is to replace the entire system. Would it be more efficient? Almost certainly, and it would probably pay for itself in 8 - 10 years. The problem is that we may move in the next 3 - 5 years, and we have a wedding to pay for this summer. The tech has been doing this so long, he actually believes the best solution for low refrigerant is a $12,500 system replacement. He's been drinking the a/c industry Kool Aid. I called Dave at Absolute based on good Yelp reviews. I told him that I think the solution above is like needing a clutch for your car and having the mechanic tell you, "the car is several years old, so you may as well just get a new one." If the rest of the system works, why on earth would I get a new one? He agreed. Dave was busy for several days, but he promised he would check with other people he trusted. It ended up one of his workers, Taylor, was able to come the next business day. He confirmed the problem. The solution - put stop leak into the system and recharge it. The coil and the rest of the system were fine. Total cost including a 1.5 hour visit - $450 (it would be cheaper, but my system uses the old refrigerant which has skyrocketed in cost.) It's working great and I anticipate it will do so for several years to come. If the system is shot, or is likely to have numerous costly repairs in the next few years, sure, replace it. However, that is often not the case. These guys actually understand that often the best solution is to repair an otherwise functional system. They have a new loyal customer.
