I've been here quite a few times for eyebrows, and they've always done an amazing job. Two days ago, I set up a same day appointment for a Brazilian wax and my second full face thread. The full face thread was done really well, I forgot the woman who threaded me (who also did my wax), but she was very sweet and the threading was not painful. My face was cut a little bit, but I expected it since I had a few bumps/pimples. I was afraid of getting my Brazilian wax here, but I was in dire need of a wax and I needed it day of. I usually get my waxes at European Wax, Wax Candy, or somewhere that just specializes in waxes, but I decided to go here because it was close to my location and the pricing is very cheap. It turned out to be an amazing experience! The woman was very sweet. It was quick, easy, and not painful. Which was cool since I haven't gotten a wax in 3 months. And the result was perfect! So I rated this place 5 stars, because of pricing and service. I wish they did a upgrade on store appearance, but that would probably mean a increase in prices. But overall 5 stars! read more

I had a bit of a hard time finding this place. It is in the corner area of the big shopping plaza. Once I got in I was greeted warmly. Every thing was pretty standard like most of the places I go. It was painless for the eyebrows and chin. The lips are never painless. The only reason I only gave four stars is that she didn't do my entire chin at first past. I guess they don't consider your jawline your chin. Although she did do my neck without asking. She did go ahead and finish the job without hesitation after I pointed it out. Then at the end you apply your own cooling gel. That was just weird to me. That's the practitioners job. That said I would probably go here when I am in the areas. read more

I love this place because it's cheap af $5 eyebrow threading & if you come here often it's worth getting the card for some discounts and free threading. 10% discount after 5th time and free eyebrow threading once you get your 10th stamp. It's conveniently located about a 1/2 a block away from el camino college. Has good parking & for the most part the ladies who do the threading do a good job. My only con is the bathroom, it's dirty sometimes so try to hold it in if you can. I have been to this place quite a few things since I randomly came across it a few months back. The first thing that drew me to this place was the price itself. $5 for eyebrow threading. Most places would be over $10 to get this type of eyebrow work done. I figure that I would give them a try cause it is only $5 and if it turned out to be a not so great job then I would not be back. Unpinned first impression there was not that much to really look at inside. It was not fancy and that is not a bad thin in my book. The one thing that I usually get are my eyebrows done and this day was no exception. Now I don't remember the lady who did my brows on this day but I can say that she did an excellent job. I have never had any complaints in regards to any of the people that work there. One perk is that they do have a rewards card and the 10th time you can get your eyebrows done for free that is a nice thing. I've been coming to this place for the last couple of years so it does pain me a little to have to write a poor (first) review. I usually walk out of here satisfied with my cleaned up brows, but today was much different. I walked in and walked straight to the chair since there were no other customers and before I sat down I asked (forgot her name) not to thread the space between my brows. Not only did she thread them, she broke skin (which has NEVER happened at any place I've gotten threaded), was rushing, highly involved in a conversation with the other ladies, and threaded too much area around my eyes. The result? A poor brow job that, two hours later, has still left my face burning and actually gave me a headache! It's hard to resist a $5 eyebrow threading but my chances of going back are slim. I'll happily pay twice as much elsewhere to avoid this kind of discomfort. read more

I believe she is the owner but she's constantly checking up on the client and ensuring that her employees are doing a good job! The best thing about this place is that the employees do a good job of balancing speed, design, and compassion. I have a high threshold of pain, and they picked up on that right away. The ladies who serve me move quickly and without pause. Whether I need work on my eyebrows or upper lip, I am always out of there in five minutes or less. Everyone works differently some are very gentle and others can be a bit rough but its a matter of finding who works best for you asking for them when you visit. They dont ask how you want your brows so if you want something specific like just cleaned up and not shaped then let them know when you sit on the chair. Also if its your first time, sometimes theres no one at the desk when you walk in but there's a little sign-in notepad on the desk so make sure to write your name on it since they call you based on that. I have been coming here on and off for the past 5 years and there are some ups and downs about my experiences here. Mostly I have been satisfied with the results of my full face wax, depending on who removes my facial hair, but the last time that I was here, which was about a couple of weeks ago, I was not too thrilled with my experience. It was kind of busy and I waited patiently until it was my turn to be seen. I normally have this one lady do my eyebrows and face waxing but I was kind of in a hurry and just wanted to get my face wax over with. I finally get seen by a different lady and she started to thread my brows. Then she gets out the soft wax to wax my face. As soon as she is waxing my face, she is applying the wax in a sloppy manner. Some how she managed to get the wax on my eyelashes. I didn't notice until I had a hard time opening my eye. This was not the first time where my eyelashes have been affected by my facial hair removal. The last time I had this lady, she accidentally threaded out one of my eyelashes and that was the most painful thing ever She also managed to leave most of my lower chin with tiny cuts. This recent experience made me not want to come to this shop anymore because it is not worth having my eyelashes removed. read more

I came here because Busy Brows was closed and I could not, for the life of me, find Mantra. It was the greatest discovery ever! There was a long line but two ladies were working and they got through it faster than I expected. I was in and out f this place in 30 minutes. I love my brows too! The girl that did them angled me face to get every last stray hair she could. My hair tends to grow in multiple directions and if they are not threaded right, irritation is sure to occur. Not with this place though, I think her name was Mina, she was professional, quick and gentle.
