I sat down waited for 5 mins and NOT ONE PERSON CAME OUT TO SAY HELLO and I could hear there were at least 2 employees back there. Another lady came in, sat down next to me and we waited. This place is horrendous. Just had a woman talking about me whole time sitting there. They say it's $12 on the wall sign, then charge men $15. Her boss overrode the $3 difference but the woman who serviced me complained that I complained about the dollars. Will never go back here, do yourself a favor and do not go. read more

This place is perfectly fine. Actually when we went in it was super busy-- there were four people ahead of me with two girls working and two clients in the chair. So obviously this place is doing something right. It's really a bare bones operation, which is a not a surprise for Livingston Mall. Minimal decoration with a flatscreen playing The Threading Station best hits: especially helpful if you've never been threaded and you're trying to figure out what exactly is going out. You can see how it's basically like tweezing but using thread. $12 for eyebrows which kinda blows. My Indian friend gets it done in her neighborhood for $5 and she can't believe how much we have to pay. But I can't have my eyebrows waxed because skin is so sensitive there so I'll take it. The only thing I wish they did was wipe my eyebrows down with an antiseptic before starting to make sure everything was clean before they start ripping hairs out. After getting my eyebrows ruined by waxing for years. I decided to finally see what the threading life is all about. I have been trying to grow out my eyebrows since the SUMMER. It was too thin and there was no real arch or shape to it. So my friend suggests this place. After the fear of ultimate pain, my concern was them fixing my eyebrows. I just needed it back to its original thickness and shape(even if it wasn't evenly thick, as I can easily fill it in w pencil) I explained my situation to the Indian woman there. She nodded a few times without ONE word and gestured for me to sit down as if she was a miracle worker and I can trust her. I'll accept her rudeness if she can perform a miracle. Okay fine. So for the next 5 minutes I'm in PAIN. that's fine. I'm weak when it comes to pain. When she finally finishes..I get up and it's the same doggone shape I had before. All she did was clean it. Completely overpriced and the staff is so rude. The ladies working there never smile or say hi. They clearly aren't happy working there and give an attitude for doing their job. The people that work here are so rude. They talk on the phone on their hands free while they are working on you or they talk in their language to each other while they are working on you. Bina is the worst. There is always a scowl on her face. You can tell she hates her job. And they have the nerve to ask for higher tips when the place and services are subpar and so unprofessional. I had my eyebrows done and they were uneven (both in height and length). Beforehand, I asked the woman to make them like a previous photo, but she made them too thin. I prefer threading to waxing, plucking and shaving my eyebrows, It cost $12 to have your eyebrows arched and they are done to precision. always have a problem with this place. Once my wife was told not to eat onions before coming there. Another time my wife was asked not to throw her tissue in there trash cans. The last time we walked in there was only one client in the chair and we greeted the stylist. We sat down for about 20 minutes and waited patiently. This place was once worthy of 5 stars but no longer even worth 1. I've been a loyal customer of the store and kiosk since they started at Livingston Mall, but the last few times I've been here they've been very disappointing. But the most disappointing incident of them all was me getting to the mall at 8:45 ( 15 mins left before they close) and being turned away. Their hours are listed 10 am-9:00 pm. It's never taken me more than 5 mins to thread my eyebrows but the lady simply turned her back on me and ignored me as I spoke to her. Ive been a loyal customer of this place for yrs. But the last time I went will be the last time. My eyebrows were usually done by Bina and Ive been known to wait for her even though someone else is available. This time when I requested her she spoke in her language to the other employee and they both laughed while Bina walked to the back and didnt say anything to me. There was a young man there who told her that I was waiting for her and whatever she said to him made him and the other employee laugh. This place was always my favorite to get my eyebrows done but my last visits have been horrible. They literally give your dirty looks and talk between themselves when you don't tip. Today I didn't have extra cash to tip them and I told them I could put it on my card and the lady said it was a minimum of $6 to tip which is absolutely absurd. You tip what you want there should never be a minimum of anything and if there is it shouldn't be $6 when my service was $12. She also called me out for not tipping her last time. WOW terrible place. The ONLY reason why I came here is because I was in a pinch for time and couldn't make it to my usual spot that I go to. First of all, I walked in and the girl didn't even acknowledge me. I understand she was busy with another customer but she could have simply greeted me. I should have left, but my eyebrows really needed to be done. I saw a woman from the back peek into the store and continue doing whatever she was doing in the back. I waited patiently and when the girl was finished with the customer, again she did not greet me but only said "Next". When I sat down she said hi and then asked me what service I needed. I asked her to clean up my eyebrows. I literally don't think I have ever had such pain before from threading ever in my life. It hurt so bad. I've been getting threaded for years and I can handle pain. Also, don't even bother trying to talk to her. She didn't want to be bothered, she kept speaking to the girl in the back in a different language and only got excited when the other workers came back in. She seemed very rough and wanted to rush to make a quick buck. To be honest, I didn't even want to leave her a tip but I did. And that was only because my eyebrows were even and she did what I wanted. Rude service! I will NOT be back. I will stick to paying $7 at my normal spot as opposed to the $12 here. I've been looking for a good place to get my eyebrows threaded in the Livingston area for a while now but didn't really have much luck. Then one day as I was at the Livingston Mall I noticed the threading station on the ground floor...I've been to this mall dozens of times so I'm not sure why I just now noticed it but I am glad I did! I desperately needed to get my eyebrows did so I decided to give them a try and LOVE my eyebrows! I've gotten my eyebrows threaded and waxed many times and at many different places but have truly only found a handful of places I've liked, and this is one of them. There are two nice ladies working at the station. They were both very friendly and the one who was doing my eyebrows knew exactly how to shape and clean them up without me having to give much detail. It cost only $10 and took less than 10 minutes. If you're in the area and need to get your eyebrows threaded, I'd definitely recommend this place. The only downside is that if you don't feel comfortable getting your brows done in public, you may not like this place since it is a cart in the mall. I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 only because I want to go back and see if I consistently like the results before giving it 5 stars. read more

Prior to coming to the mall I checked online to the see what time the station was closing. Online it indicated 9pm. I arrived at the threading station at 8:26pm and I ( an African American woman) was the only customer. One of the technician was sweeping and another around the register. The technician around the register rudely informed me the store was close. I told her I thought the station closes at 9 and she insisted she's closing now. I left the mall and went back to my car for my cellphone. Less than a 2 min walk from the parking lot back to the mall and I walk pass the threading station only to see another customer (a Caucasian woman) sitting in the chair. I immediately said I thought you were closed. Both technicians was quiet. I asked again and was told that the "customer" was a regular customer. This is not a hair salon in which I'm asking you stay beyond regular operating hours for a two hour service. Eyebrow threading is a 5 minute service and a service which I'm paying for. I asked for the contact information for the manager and was told that the manager left for the day. I walked around to the threading kios and explained what happen and that technician offered to do my eyebrows. At this point I'm upset and disappointed in how I was treated so I was not interested in getting service from them and to no surprise this technician also did not have the number for a manager. I most definitely will not be going back to this place. I will not be supporting or referring anyone to this place again. read more

This is my go to place. Bina does a great job. I only go to her for my eyebrows. She really takes her time. I have gone other places and they have not done a good job. I have been to Bina at this location for almost 5 years. She spends time to make sure eyebrows look perfect before you leave every time. She does a precise job and my eyebrows look great. They are courteous and yes it costs a little more but you don't go every week so it saves time and money.
