But over time, new technicians came in, and the results became hit or miss. I shrugged it off, figuring that since I never had a go-to person, I just had to roll with it. Well, I deeply regret rolling into that first chair on a Wednesday. The technician--who I'm assuming is named Michaela, based on my receipt--immediately pointed out random grey hairs on my face. Uh, thanks? I told her never mind (and THANK GOODNESS I did, but we'll get to that). She finishes my brows, hands me the mirror, and I take a quick glance. And my first thought? 'Oh great, you just mowed off all my eyebrows like we're back in the '90s.' Still, I chalk it up to my fault for not specifying that I just needed a cleanup. Usually, they ask--she didn't--but given the inconsistency here, I figured I'd just have better luck next time. So, I take my L, pay, and leave. But then I get to my car. I take a closer look and--what in the actual--my brows are not only pencil-thin, but I have visible blood and cuts (see photo). W.T.F.?! She didn't say a single word about this! I have dry skin, but I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for over 20 years, and this has NEVER happened. And to make matters worse, I have a big presentation at work tomorrow, so now, instead of just filling in these razor-thin brows (which is extra fun when you naturally have thick ones), I also have to figure out how to cover up these cuts and avoid a scab situation. What was she even doing that low on my eyebrow?! At this point, the inconsistency is just too much. While some of the techs know what they're doing, beware--you might just walk out of here looking like Edward Scissorhands had a field day with your brows.

Disappointed This Time -- Inconsistent Service…read more I've been to this salon before and had a great experience -- the lady I saw last time did a beautiful job shaping my brows with a defined arch and a soft, natural tint. Unfortunately, today's visit was a letdown. Despite clearly asking for an arch, the technician gave me a rounded shape that doesn't suit my face, even though I have enough brow for proper definition (as other stylists have managed before). The edges were left uneven and jagged, and stray hairs above and below the brow line were ignored -- it just didn't look clean or polished. I also requested a light tint, but she applied a very dark dye that felt way too harsh. I've attached a photo collage to show the difference: The top photo is from a previous visit (same salon, different technician) -- clean, defined, and just the right tint. The middle photo is today's brows before the dye. The bottom photo is after the tint -- too dark, with an attempted arch that left my brows looking uneven and butchered at the base. I genuinely wanted this to work -- the location is convenient and the first experience gave me hope. But the inconsistency in service and the lack of attention to detail today were disappointing. I may return, but only if I can book with the original technician who did a great job.
