I came back the second year and actually got the same cabin. This time all new blinds and a nice clean curtains were not ripped. I have been a member for 6 years now. I have never had an issue with any personal at any park until today, July 15, 2021. I was following a car to the front gate. I did not have my foot on the gas, and my speed was 6 mph. I Ik the limit is 5, but my car was idolizing at that speed. The lady, I believe Camy, (she didn't have on a name tag) stopped me to rudely tell me to slow down because she knows the car in front of me was going 5 mph. Which doesn't make sense because I wasn't catching up to the car in front. I told her that I didn't even have my foot on the gas and her response was, "I didn't ask you if your foot was on the gas" in a rude and condescending voice. Not in a "I understand " voice. Then I went to ask about the putt putt. She was very sharp with me as she said everything is out there and if there aren't any balls you can buy one for 1 dollar. I said I am not going to buy a golf ball to use one time. She then rudely said, you can keep it. I said rudely back. I don't golf. She put me in the defensive by stopping me and talking to me as if I was a criminal breaking a law. This out me in a defensive mood. I am careful about my speed and like I said, I was going 6 mph and foot not on gas peddle. With her response of "I didn't ask you if your foot was on the gas" hit a very negative nerve. Then as I was driving back to my site another woman came running out and stopped me to ask me what site I was in. I responded and then asked why and her response was, "for no reason". I have never had a situation when any EE has been so condescending, rude, and negative.

I honestly don't recommend staying/renting a cabin my family and I rented a cabin for the weekend here, and let me just tell you the cabin was REALLY dirty there was dust and lots of spiderwebs EVERYWHERE in every corner of the cabin it might seem like and exaggeration but by just running your finger in the areas where there was dust you whould end up with a BIG clump of dust and I'm not kidding the spiderwebs where in every corner of the cabin. Also the kitchen and bathroom were not cleaned well as well on the counter of the bathroom there was white spatters of what seams was spit, but overall the dirtiest cabin I've ever stayed in....Also taking in fact that it was almost $200 per night very disappointed.

What a great RV park! It is the best of both worlds, ocean and forest. Really a pretty and relaxing area. The sites have trees and foliage to give a little separation. There are several view lots. Both the adult and family lodges have great views. There is enough room and things to do to accommodate families while allowing individuals or couples their own space. There are RV/tent sites and cabins. Most of the sites do not have sewer hook-ups but there is a decent dump station at the exit of the park. There are fire pits at the sites and you could buy wood at the office for about $6 a bundle. Some of the sites are a little difficult to get an rv into or to level it. We loved the park and the proximity to LaConner and Anacortes. *I have posted restaurant reviews for both LaConner and Anacortes.

    Beautiful sunset at La Connor.

We joined TT this year and have made it a point to check out all in our zones, from CA to WA. Many have been a bit of a disappointment but the La Conner TT was the best surprise yet! We didn't have reservations but discovered it was close by and we decided to veer off the highway to see what La Conner was like. One of my main objections to any RV park is being in a parking lot campsite with no privacy or scenery. Not here!!! We found a beautiful, private, large, level treed site that was a short walk from the exquisite open beach area. We enjoyed a gorgeous sunset walk on the beach with the dogs and check out the facilities. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. So far La Conner is the only TT that I could stay for a week or more.

I have not been to a thousand trails until this one. Camping before this location for me was much less accessorized. They had ping pong tables, tye dye making, an old man DJ for the community in the club house. horseshoe, volleyball. The coolest thing was that they had a great location out on the water. I mean it just beautiful here. Sure rains a ton though! Never been so rained out in a campsite so this place definitely gets MUDDY! The sites get super wet depending on which one you get. The hot tub wasn't working so that's a huge bummer. It's nice to have the breakfast in the am if you are rained out, but we are troupers and still made breakfast for 20 people in 4 inches of rain in or site.

I've been trying to come up with one word to describe the area and I can't! It's peaceful, relaxing, beautiful, amazing, lovely, just everything you would want to experience on a week-end get-a-way. I would suggest staying a week! We went exploring on Saturday, our first stop was the small town of Glacier just 4 miles up the road. We stopped at the little Grocery store, to pick up a few supplies. They have espresso!! If you order it before you shop they bring it to you while you shop. Also, ice cream on the cone. There's an adorable 2nd hand store, they sell homemade soaps and candles as well. I Love this town! Leaving Glacier we headed toward Nooksack falls just 7 miles further up the road. Breathe taking view. I watched the Deer Hunters movie a few weeks ago, and I knew that the Nooksack falls were featured in the hunting scene of the movie. Did Meryl Streep and Robert DeNiro walk the same path as we did??? Probably not, but it's still absolutely worth the stop, it's beautifully dangerous. Back on the one way road to Mt, Baker Highway, then 14 miles to Artist Point, located at the very end of Mount Baker Highway. I felt a little intimidated on the road to artist Point, it's only about 3 miles long and with the switchbacks it's crazy exciting and lovely winding up more than 5000 feet above sea level as you arrive at the top. Yes, it boasts 360-degree views of Mount Shuksan and Mount Baker. All of this, just 22 miles from the Sasquatch Mountain Hideaway cabin. We climbed a short distance to an open area, and had lunch in the snow, on a beautiful August afternoon. What do you do when you didn't bring a sled? Well you use your coat and you go Coatesbogganing! We returned to the cabin, and started the grill. We had Grilled salmon, salad, baked potato and white wine, all out on the balcony. A very pleasant non-exhausting day. This mountain hideaway features a gourmet kitchen, private bedrooms; lovely bathrooms, leather sofas big screen TV's and choice of movies, or bring your own. If you wish they have big foot slippers to wear around the cabin, and much more. This cabin is perfectly located for enjoying every season for any reason, I love our beautiful Great Northwest. The Sasquatch Mountain Hideaway makes it easy.

My daughter, who lives in Olympia, Washington, encouraged us to visit the San Juan Islands (and take her with us, of course) this year. I looked at several possibilities and settled on the San Juan Waterhouse because of its location to the ocean, its view of Canada, the fact it had Internet (I thought I might need to work) and its online reviews. We were lucky that our son was also able to join us, so we felt we needed three bedrooms. The San Juan Waterhouse sits on the edge of the Haro Straight. Its water facing wall is nothing but windows, so nearly every location in the house (including the master bathroom) provides an easy view of the water. The house has three bedrooms. The master bedroom is situated so you can see Canada from the comfortable king size bed. The second bedroom is in a room with three walls of windows. This bed is a Queen. The third bedroom has two twin beds and has high windows overlooking the sod roof of the house. The main room of the house has comfortable furniture surrounding a beautiful stonework fireplace (gas) and padded window seats with many pillows for reading and gazing at the water. The kitchen. Oh my goodness, the kitchen! It has everything you could possibly need for cooking (including basic spices) and an amazing Viking stove. I'd never used one of these before and now covet one for my own house. Because my family was not going to be together for Thanksgiving, we had a Thanksgiving celebration two weeks early and cooking the meal was a breeze (and fun) in that kitchen. The kitchen also holds the house's main heat source -- a gas powered iron stove. It really heats up the place -- even the master bedroom which is down a long windowed hallway. The house has two bathrooms. One, as previously mentioned, has views of the water through the windowed French doors. (they have curtains, so don't worry about privacy). This bathroom has a claw-foot bathtub and a separate shower. The second, smaller, bathroom holds a second claw-foot bathtub (no shower). While the house itself is amazing, the best part is the location. The architect took great pains to fit it in with the surroundings and Frank Lloyd Wright slopped ceilings guide your eyes to the beautiful landscape out the windows. The house is situated on a small cove. My son and daughter ventured out during a late-night very low tide and found some interesting sea life in the tide pools. We had one beautiful sunny day and one day with strong winds and violent waves. We saw many gulls, three eagles and two small deer. I am already plotting our return to this beautiful house -- hopefully in the summer next time.

They have the best-priced guided kayak tour on the island, and an excellent location to depart from. Sandy and Carl (her husband, the other owner), were friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. They answered all kinds of questions about Island life, environmental policy, wildlife, kayaking, etc. The gear was in great shape and they even had long boats (for the 2 tall men in the group) and gloves and boots for all. 8 of us went out in 4 boats and Sandy expertly assessed the group's interests and skills and kept us all herded and engaged. We saw bald eagles, seals, and plenty of intertidal stuff. After hearing that none of us had pressing engagements, Sandy stayed out with us an extra half hour, at least (hard to tell time on the water). Overall, a fabulous experience. Well worth the money (oh, and they take credit cards).
