    Pool closed Labor Day Weekend.

This used to be my favorite place and at one point I left gift cards (for the bar and grill) for the crew. The last few times that we've been its been problem after problem. Labor Day Weekend 2022. We arrived and the gate was wide open (just like last time). No one manning the gate. We called from the phone at the gate and we were told "I'm cleaning a cabin. Just go find a spot and I'll find you." She did stop by to tell us "move your truck off the grass." There is no grass. Just sprinklers that spray (river water) onto the picnic table and motorhome. I say this because the sprinklers were still running when the water in the entire park was shut off. The entire holiday weekend there was one person working. On Sunday we were told that the pool was closed due to the chemical's being unbalanced and the water in the entire park was out. "No idea when it will be fixed." Yes NO RUNNING WATER!!! What one earth are we paying for? We took showers down at the state park. We return after dinner to our site to find our ice chest in the road and empty. A tent on our site had been ransacked. A notice was left on our door to our motorhome to boil the water. I went to the office to report the theft and again no one was there. The group in the site closest to the gate, advised me that golf carts had been speeding through, had been coming and going all night and a white car was speeding (30 mph) throughout the campground. I used the phone to contact the ranger however she didn't answer. I called the manager Laura as her number was listed on the notice. Of course her voicemail was full. I texted her of the incident including that this was unacceptable. The ranger stopped by our site, again not very helpful other than to say she was with the plumber and "no one had been into the campground. Everyone else is watching their sites." Really? Laura called and advised me to call the police and said she would check camera's and file an incident. This place is getting pretty bad, and clearly security is not a priority. The campground is so run down. The water goes out every time we are there due to some excuse they've made up and then give us a boil water notice. The grass is dead as dead gets from not watering at all. Handle at pool is broken out and an hole in the concrete. And the mosquitos are insane. They are good at blowing smoke about all the changes they are working on making. Yet it seems to not change 3 and only get worse in the last 3 years. Membership is a joke with thousand trails.

This is one of our favorite Thousand Trails Camping Resorts because of the phenomenal staff and beautiful serene views. The campground has 115 large sites with grass. There is no need to worry about finding a sewer site because every site provides full utilities. Some sites, like ours, have a view of the Columbia River. The playground is currently in the plans to be replaced. The swimming pool and hot tub are clean and inviting. Actually, this park is well taken care of by all the employees. They are always out trimming bushes, cleaning sites, etc. There is a great walking trail along the Columbia that leads to a really nice park. The park has a huge playground for the kids. Other amenities include clubhouse, laundry facility, tennis court, and volley ball net. The crescent bar area is great for boating, fishing, paddle boarding, and kayaking. I would also like to send a special note of appreciation to Marci. She is a member of the amazing staff and has assisted my family during our stays. We always feel so welcomed and will continue to recommend this resort to everyone. Again thank you :)

Nice view to the Columbia river. Clean facilities and nice staff. Just get prepared because it gets pretty windy at night.

We located this RV park online as they had availability for arrival on a Thursday/departure on a Friday. Contact was made and it went extremely well as they were very knowledgeable and recommended the best way to maneuver our long 5th wheel into a spot that was adjacent to the pond. It was super easy to find. Layout was well planned out. The spots were plentiful. The pond is amazing for dogs. The pathways around the park - including to the Yakima River were well kept. The facilities were great and their store is one of the best I've ever been in. Highly recommend this park! We will be back

There is a large pond in the park that you can use for calm water activities. Our grandsons had a blast making friends, cycling and paddle boarding. There is plenty to do right here at Whispering Pines. There is a bounce pad, two nice playgrounds, a dog area, and as I mentioned before, the pond. The sites are large, level and nestled amongst the trees. There is plenty of wildlife for your viewing enjoyment. The park does have many rules in place for everyone's safety; and they do drive around in their little carts to enforce them. *Mind your manners and you shouldn't have any problems.

This is a small little RV park and campground, but I love how the owners take excellent care of the place. One guy was always out planting and watering the plants and flowers. Another guy was literally cleaning the bathrooms several times in the day. The restrooms are nice and clean!! (Showers are available too here) The campsites are alright, but if you have preference and/or a group, I highly recommend getting the lots 31, 32, 33 area. Wow, more room, away from the main road, more trees, and a couple boulders to climb on. It looks bigger than the spot we had, which was spot 4, next to the restrooms. Firepits are very small, but we still used it to make s'mores. They also have a little enclosed basketball area. Sites 17-30 are basically next to the main road. You will hear the road noise, especially if you're camping in a tent, but I still like staying at this campground because there's not many other options for an RV park. Across the street is a gas station and Safeway. You're within a minute or two from downtown too. If you're into climbing, you're not that far from Icicle Creek climbing area either. We would stay here again with friends if we camped/rented a trailer again.

It's nothing special, but cost reflects that (so affordable!). We RV camped and found the water hookup was broken at our site. Also, it is extremely close to the main road which is very noisy. In all, gave 4 stars because I think the location beats all the rest if you want to walk downtown!

We had loop D 72-76 this year which backs up to the fence to the city park. We love it for the easy beach access. Only issue is, they do NOT close the gates at night and I have no idea why not. A party in our group had 2 electric scooters stolen from them and a charger. I understand stuff should be locked up but we've never experienced anything like that before at a campground. Two of the nights our kids were playing at the playground being kids and screaming as kids do and they were told by the person locking up the bathrooms at the City park that they had to be quiet. It was 10 PM and quiet hours at the RV park and the city park are 11 PM. He had no right to yell at our children 2 nights in a row. The last night we were there there was insanely loud Mexican music playing well after midnight in the city park parking lot. I wear earplugs when I sleep and I could still hear the music. It's ridiculous that the kids get yelled at for squealing at the playground not during quiet hours and yet there can be loud screeching tires, loud exhaust, and loud music playing well too quiet hours. Also, our site 74 had a HUGE dead spot of grass. I assume from a rug from previous camper killed it which is why they do not want rugs on the grass but it was incredibly frustrating for us as everytime someone went in and out of the trailer it drug in dirt and grit from the lack of grass. We were not a fan of that either. Wi-Fi is also not reliable if you're looking to stream or work. We did our usually waterslides trip and ropes course. You have to hit up the lakeshore drive in. Onion rings and bacon burger and shakes were on point. Another family in our group went to The Landing and got the fried rice and it was DELICIOUS!!! The icecream shop next door is legit too. Chelan RV Park please consider locking the gates to your faithful campers during quiet hours to prevent theft. We were told it's very common. Great to know...also, keep grass green and mowed. I've never seen the grass in our loop so long. We were there for 1 week and they only came behind our trailer to mow. We purposely moved our stuff so they could mow up to our trailer. Not having it mowed caused a LOT and I mean a LOT of gnat type bugs. They were EVERYWHERE. I was also surprised to find them spreading fertilizer on the grass before it was mowed and they didn't inform anyone which I thought was odd

The RV resort feels tucked away in the forest, giving it a cozy and secluded vibe. The sites have water and electric hookups (no sewer), and the bathrooms and showers were spotless. Showers operate with quarters, while the restrooms are free. The restaurant was a great bonus and really added to the stay. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner with hearty portions and delicious food. We loved that they also host weekly specials and events like free Bingo on Mondays, Taco Tuesday, Prime Rib Friday, and live music on Saturdays. Out back there is a spacious yard with picnic tables, yard games, and a stage for music, which makes it feel like a little community hub. There is also a gas station and convenience store next door, which came in handy for basics and propane tank refills. The location itself is perfect. It is only about 15 minutes to downtown Leavenworth's Bavarian village and very close to Lake Wenatchee State Park for outdoor adventures. A big shoutout to Vito, the host, who is very hands-on and attentive, especially in the restaurant. You can tell he takes pride in making sure guests are well taken care of. Prices were very reasonable for both the RV sites and the restaurant. The only thing I would suggest is adding a fenced-in dog run, but there are trails on the property where you can walk your dog, so it was not a big issue. Overall, this is a great spot if you want a peaceful RV stay with excellent food, fun activities, and close access to both Leavenworth and Lake Wenatchee. Highly recommend!
