Expansive Stunning views from our campsite of the Columbia River and lava formed ridges. The park itself is small, clean, buildings are in average upkeep. We really did not use the amenities, out on adventures throughout our stay. Our campsite was roomy enough, had fantastic view. Down side the 50 amp did not work properly, had to use the 30 instead which required us to juggle power use. This park to us is all about the view and proximity to biking and hiking trails and beaches on the river. There is a very nice paved biking/ walking trail that follows the river right by the park that is about 5 miles round trip. We were close enough to Leavenworth and Chelan to take day trips to both. The Ancient Lake trailheads are a short drive up the road for hiking or mountain biking to lakes and waterfalls. Would we come back and stay longer....Yes, yes, yes!!! read more

This has to be the saddest, most run-down RV Park we have ever stayed at. The main office building has loose nails on their stairs and deck and is in need of repair. Looks nothing like The pictures on their website. They show beautiful green grass landscaping and when we arrived it was nothing but dead grass and dirt. The main pool was filthy and I really doubt the filter was even working. The hot tub was also debris filled and had some makeshift unit to make the bubbles work. Both pools had tiles missing and were poorly maintained. There is no store on property but the laundry facilities worked great! read more

This used to be my favorite place and at one point I left gift cards (for the bar and grill) for the crew. The last few times that we've been its been problem after problem. Labor Day Weekend 2022. We arrived and the gate was wide open (just like last time). No one manning the gate. We called from the phone at the gate and we were told "I'm cleaning a cabin. Just go find a spot and I'll find you." She did stop by to tell us "move your truck off the grass." There is no grass. Just sprinklers that spray (river water) onto the picnic table and motorhome. I say this because the sprinklers were still running when the water in the entire park was shut off. The entire holiday weekend there was one person working. On Sunday we were told that the pool was closed due to the chemical's being unbalanced and the water in the entire park was out. "No idea when it will be fixed." Yes NO RUNNING WATER!!! What one earth are we paying for? We took showers down at the state park. We return after dinner to our site to find our ice chest in the road and empty. A tent on our site had been ransacked. A notice was left on our door to our motorhome to boil the water. I went to the office to report the theft and again no one was there. The group in the site closest to the gate, advised me that golf carts had been speeding through, had been coming and going all night and a white car was speeding (30 mph) throughout the campground. I used the phone to contact the ranger however she didn't answer. I called the manager Laura as her number was listed on the notice. Of course her voicemail was full. I texted her of the incident including that this was unacceptable. The ranger stopped by our site, again not very helpful other than to say she was with the plumber and "no one had been into the campground. Everyone else is watching their sites." Really? Laura called and advised me to call the police and said she would check camera's and file an incident. This place is getting pretty bad, and clearly security is not a priority. It is a beautiful area. Many spots to back up to the Columbia River. Lots of mosquitoes and flies. Mainly in the evening. I use a repellent and all is good. read more

The armpit of Eastern Washington. Horrible experience from entering the gate to exiting the Gate. No staff present to check in, in fact on a 3 day stay never got checked in. Gate code just passed along from other campers. RV pads so out of level it was more like going hunting in the mountains. ALL amenities either broke or unavailable. The only staff person spotted during our stay was not even authorized to sell ice. Reservations and payment were a waste of time. We could have just pulled in, found a spot and set up. No one their would even notice. Grounds and buildings were dirty and poorly maintained. Filthy Honey buckets on the verge of tipping over are hardly restrooms. First night of stay had thousands of dollars of our equipment stolen as did a minimum of 8 other sites. Again no staff present, no answers to messages left, and had to call the 1000 Trails main # only to get no answers and no follow ups for the remainder of our stay. Total negligence and failure to live up to the basic responsibilities of the campground. Majority of lighting in the campground was either out or had been removed due to damage. Fencing around was broken down and easy to walk right through as well as drive. Chains meant to block entrance were attached to broken fencing and so loose that people were actually just holding them up and driving under. Rules were not enforced, one site had 8 Vehicles over night. We were thinking of buying a membership but based on the experience at this thousand trails and the lack of any response from the campground management or the thousand trails main office there is ZERO chance of that EVER happening or of us ever staying at one of their sites. Walmart parking lots would rate a 10 compared to thousand trails. DONT GO THERE! To quote a long time member "I have been going here for 30 years and this is the worst it has ever been. Igt has been going steadily down hill since thousand trails too over!" read more

The campground is so run down. The water goes out every time we are there due to some excuse they've made up and then give us a boil water notice. The grass is dead as dead gets from not watering at all. Handle at pool is broken out and an hole in the concrete. And the mosquitos are insane. They are good at blowing smoke about all the changes they are working on making. Yet it seems to not change 3 and only get worse in the last 3 years. Well I really would like to give a good rating as I don't like to be behind a screen anonymously throwing stones BUT WE ARE paying $85 a day and there is NO green grass with the exception on the outside sites and these appear to have full timers in them.. inside sites have just very fine dirt... the main water here has been having issues and without any notice to shut it down trying to repair the issue we now have no water in our coaches...now, I understand things break but they could have given the campground notice for us to plan ahead, but no!! Literally, it is though we are camping in the middle of a gravel pit with hookups! Dusty, dusty, dusty! We went to town to purchase some essentials and the gate is broken to reenter campground! We have to make a call to attendant and he will drive to open it.. having ice cream in the car melting wasn't conducive for waiting in 90 * heat.. Bathrooms and showers for the ladies, one was closed for cleaning and the other was shut down due to water issues. We spent many many years over here at Crescent Bar at the old park which now is operated by Grant County Power and had we known that campground was revamped and there we would have gone with that one!! First time at a TT campground and probably the last! read more

We had a nice 4 night stay during May. Many of the campsites were out of order due to needing electric or water but we ended up finding one we liked. The restrooms were always very clean and I didn't notice the problem with dust other people mentioned. There were a couple situations where they had to shut off the water or electric for a couple hours but they gave us a couple days notice so we could plan around it. read more

This is one of our favorite Thousand Trails Camping Resorts because of the phenomenal staff and beautiful serene views. The campground has 115 large sites with grass. There is no need to worry about finding a sewer site because every site provides full utilities. Some sites, like ours, have a view of the Columbia River. The playground is currently in the plans to be replaced. The swimming pool and hot tub are clean and inviting. Actually, this park is well taken care of by all the employees. They are always out trimming bushes, cleaning sites, etc. There is a great walking trail along the Columbia that leads to a really nice park. The park has a huge playground for the kids. Other amenities include clubhouse, laundry facility, tennis court, and volley ball net. The crescent bar area is great for boating, fishing, paddle boarding, and kayaking. I would also like to send a special note of appreciation to Marci. She is a member of the amazing staff and has assisted my family during our stays. We always feel so welcomed and will continue to recommend this resort to everyone. Again thank you :) read more

What a great spot! We came for a concert at the Gorge. It's about a 25 minute drive to the venue; not too bad at all. The pool was clean but a little too warm for my taste. It wasn't super refreshing. The sites are nice- trees, green grass and the views of the river are gorgeous. We weren't even river side and could see the water from various spots. The staff was so nice and this little town is just too fun. Can't wait to come back! read more

There are a couple of bad reviews up talking about parties and lack of respect. I think these are outdated. The new manager is pretty amazing and has improved the place immensely. We were there four days. Our visit was fantastic. Staff were super helpful And nice. It was sunny, warm and quiet. Not tons of kiss but enough there for our boys to play with. Pool is great. Heated and the kids pool is attached to it. You can swim on one side in the adult pool with little kids in the wading pool at almost arms reach. Crescent bar is quite nice. There is a new path to the beach from the resort, as well as Publix beaches you can go to. The water is shallow enough at the public beaches that it gets warm. WiFi could be better. Some people have said the rv sites are small. I guess a little small. They give you enough grass space but you have to negotiate the sprinkler heads when parking. We have a 38' motorhome though and were able to get in and out just fine. Loved it. Will come again. read more

Wouldn't recommend. Compared to the park next door, this isn't a park I would return to. While not terrible, the grass is mostly dead and not maintained. Dusty. Some of the permanent trailers aren't well kept. Despite advertising a playground for kids on the website, they do not currently have one. I commented on this to the front desk, rather than simply apologizing, they made excuses. Also after rushing to the camp on our first day because reservations are told sites are still first come first serve, we were assigned a spot (and a poor one at that). Would others enjoy this place? Maybe. Will I return or recommend it to friends? No. read more

Nice view to the Columbia river. Clean facilities and nice staff. Just get prepared because it gets pretty windy at night.

This place was great! Easy to find, close to the urban trail into town, nice staff and has a great location. Sites are first come, first served. Our family was very happy with our stay here. It was quiet (even on a busy, Dave Matthews Band weekend) and has great views. My only complaints were that there are no bathrooms at the pool (um, where are the kids supposed to go?), the play set is about to fall down and they RAN OUT OF PANCAKES for their pancake breakfast after only 30 mins and there's no where else in town for breakfast. I still highly recommend this place. Great for families. read more

We stayed over Memorial weekend. Our family plus 3 other families. We had a great time! The park is very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. If you are there to boat the launch is just down the road about a minute. That part of the Columbia isn't too over crowded. It's not bumper boating. We were really able to enjoy our selves! The only advice I would offer others is to be careful when walking around the park. There are burrs on the ground that are really sharp. They stick to the bottom of your shoes. I would not recommend riding bikes there. We had the burrs pop all our tires. read more

There is a four night minimum reservation and no refunds. We placed our reservation 6 months in advance and did tell them the length of our trailer. We were not allowed to pick the space, the staff did. The space chosen for us by staff was nearly too small. Despite this we were told by the staff they do not give refunds. Also, I wouldn't recommend bringing your children or staying here unless you enjoy loud music with profanity and drunken combative people. There was a group of college age people drinking and playing loud music during the day. In the evening, the drunken boaters returned and were rude, loud and threatening anyone who politely asked them to turn down their music or dared to glance in their direction. When asked for assistance, the staff here said this was normal and pointed out that there are no refunds, and that they don't have any noise restrictions except the hours of 11 pm - 7 am. read more
