Each site has grass and a picnic table and appears to be level cement. Lots of young trees so not a lot of shade. Some sites are "premium" and all sites have full hook ups. They offer free WiFi but it doesn't work that great. No cable TV. I highly recommend staying here if you need an RV park in the tri-cities area! Don't bother going anywhere else!

We went from reserving the best site (#22), to being given Site #1, which is the very first one you see, directly across a beautiful parking lot. Their bathroom was a football field away from the site. It was unisex w/shower, and 8 times outta 10 you went to use it....it was occupied, and someone was taking a shower. You won't--and can't--wait in that situation. I don't begrudge the folks using the facilities in that regard, but it was untenable. Thankfully, I spotted a porta pot off their property that was available, yet still a football field away. It became the Wifey's and my personal pissatorium. To note, we never saw the camp host. She seemed nice when we got a call on our way down to see if we were, 'Still coming?' Maybe we disappointed her when we said we were on our way. I can't help feeling that if we missed her call, Site #1 would have been given away, and we would've been s*** outta luck when we showed up at check-in...

First issue: Someone thought it was a genius idea to hang a wasp/hornet trap right in the middle of two campsites -- ours and our neighbors'. Saturday morning, we woke up to wasps swarming all over our tents. At first, we couldn't figure out why until we spotted the trap in a tree, literally buzzing with activity. My husband went to the ranger station to report it, but no one was there. About an hour later, a ranger finally showed up and moved the trap -- by that point, our kids hadn't even been able to leave their tents. Once that was dealt with, I started cleaning up all the trash left behind by the previous campers at our site. Later that evening, while we were having dinner, our older daughter was stung by a bee. Speaking of trash -- let's talk about the lakes. We visited multiple spots around the lakes, and honestly, it felt like flashbacks to dirty California beaches. Everywhere we went: trash, broken glass, diapers, beer cans, baby wipes. Floating in the water. Tangled in plants. Scattered across the shore. My daughter was in the water for maybe 45 seconds before she cut her foot open on a shard of glass, and we had to go back to camp to pull it out. None of us even got to swim. And this wasn't just one spot -- we tried three different lakes and five different locations, hoping for a safe place for the kids. Nothing. We are never coming back. People can say what they want about western Washington coasts and lakes (the weather, the crowds, whatever), but what we do right is keeping our beaches, parks, and wildlife refuges clean. We respect our nature and our wildlife. We don't like people coming into our homes and leaving trash everywhere, so we don't do that to other places. This place could be a gem. It could be beautiful and worth returning to every year. But that won't happen. This was our first -- and our last -- time visiting.

I read several reviews prior to our arrival, and voiced my concerns about possible noise issues, to the kind woman that checked us in. We were in site 4, which was a little tight. When we opened our slide, we made contact with the tree/bush outside. We didn't have much room for our rug, but our two small chairs fit nicely. Throughout our stay we heard refrigeration units behind us, at the Meadow-Gold facility. These refrigeration trucks operated day and night, which had an impact on our sleep quality. We did hear dogs barking but it was not bothersome. If you're a light sleeper, (like I am), I would recommend using a noise machine, noise-canceling headphones, or ear plugs. Or request a site on the opposite side of the park. The staff was friendly.

We said yes, one dog. They asked what breed, and we replied that she's a mixed breed. We were asked if there was any Pitt in her, which there obviously is, so we said yes. They have a zero Pitt bull policy. No other breed. Doesn't matter if they are a mix, and the most gentle creature. In six years, traveling all over Oregon, Washington and Idaho, this was a first for us. Fortunately the other nearby rv parks aren't so ignorant.
