Clean and easy in and out. Only downfall wish it was 24/7. They have a change machine and lots of speedqueen machines.

The laundry mat has a few issues. For starters: it's expensive. It's smallest washer is $2.75. Driers are within normal pricing, $.25 for 5 minutes. The washers are also outdated and the doors aren't latched closed like most commercial washers. They are held shut by a plastic notch like in residential settings. Water leaks from many of the washers. The overall feel of this laundry mat is dingy and very dirty. Parking is difficult to navigate with only 4 spaces in the parking lot. read more

So, I want to say I have done laundry at a Laundry Mat before but somehow I can only recall the cute love stories in movies and tv shows about people meeting people in them. So, I know I have been IN them before, just can't recall if I ever really used one before. And lord knows I never met a man at one before, and this morning, that didn't change. My mother was in town this week and we have been busy running around and have not had any down time to do laundry so it piled up. At my new house I have a really small washer and dryer so the 7 loads of laundry would have taken forever so we decided to hit up the mat early this AM. It opens uber early so that is a huge plus. We were greeted by the attendant immediately and she gave us the rundown of the facility as far as where blankets go and what are double load washers. There were two change machines but only one was working. It was $4 for the large washers that handles blankets etc, $2 for regular washers and I THINK $2.50 for the double load washers. I hit up a few of each. Everything seemed cleaned, not sparkling but very nice. It does look older in age but everything works pretty good as far as I can tell. The dryers (which you can only use if you wash stuff there) are about 6 7 min for $.25 so you need at least $1 on high for everything to dry the first time around. If there are a lot of dryers open, I would suggest breaking the loads up so you don't have to wait as long. We sat outside under the shade, it was still hot but there is not much room inside and there is only one TV and the attendant pretty much uses it. Didn't bother us though, we ate our breakfast and worked on my laptop. The lady was very friendly and she means well, she does talk a lot but I am sure that job is boring so I probably would want to talk to people too =) She also has her pup there, a 4 yrs old male poodle and he is super cute and very well behaved. I am a pup lover though so I did not mind the pup was there. Overall, it was a pretty easy experience and I wouldn't mind going again when I have a ton of laundry to do. However, it's a pretty penny so I won't be going that often but good to know it's there! read more

I don't understand the horrific reviews - all laundromats are pretty much garbage. This place gets the job done. It's expensive and offers no amenities of its own (even air conditioning) but it's hardly the worst experience ever. I've left and gone across the street to Dexter's before - you'll be fine if you do the same. I've also left the entire area (in my car), come back, and didn't find my stuff stolen or on the floor. The washers do tend to get socks and skimpy undies stuck in the rubber door seal which is gross af, but that's the only issue I've ever had with their equipment. So basically: just go and do your laundry. It ain't the Ritz. read more

This place is small, hot and cramped. But it's clean, has newer HE digital washing machines, and oh yeah the famed attendant everyone keeps talking about works there. She really isn't that bad. I just don't think most people are used to someone asking questions about their dirty laundry. And to be fair, I don't really care as long as my clothes fit into the machine and come out clean. Most times, it seems like she's just being chatty & I've seen people have friendly conversations with her. Obviously, one cannot park at the laundromat and then disappear to go to brunch or go shopping. There is not enough parking for that and I'm sure some people have abused it in the past. My experience was my clothes were sopping wet due to a faulty washer (fourth on the left as you walk in the door). It was the second time it happened. 2 out of the 2 times I've been here, maybe those visits were six months apart. The first time I called management. The second time I used the Yelp app to message them. I want to support small businesses, but at a minimum, the machines need to work. read more

I have always thought that Thornton Park Laundry didn't quite fit in, nudged in between those fancy boutiques, cafes and pricey salons. It had intrigued me, sticking out like a dirty sock in a pile of clean laundry. This is the reason I was accepting of my new home's lack of washer and dryer...I could finally give Thornton Park Laundry a spin. The beauty of this place is not their facilities, but the location. Now as I waited on my laundry I could go throw away money at one of the many money spending opportunities around the Thornton area. This proves my laundry day to be quite pricey. The facilities themselves are decent enough (I don't have high hopes for a laundry facility), and there is always an interesting crowd present. Be careful when you park there and go across the street to eat, because there is a seemingly ever present tow truck that will be happy to take your car and foot you the bill. read more

There is one TV for your viewing pleasure and a fair amount of parking out front. It looks a bit dated inside, but it gets the job done if you're in a pinch or if you aren't fortunate enough to have your own machines at home. Great location, poorly run facility. The space has about 18 washers and 13 driers. There are change machines that accept cash only. The also sell soap out of a vending machine. The place is often dirty (open doors so if it's raining expect mud on the floor). Several of the machines don't work or are missing knobs or leak the detergent on to the floor. Parking lot is only six spots but there is street parking sometimes available. You can also park behind a car and just watch so you don't block someone in. Overall it is convenient because of the location but it is a disappointment every time I'm here. read more

I happened to come across this laundromat one day when having lunch across the street at Dexter's. I decided to give it a try when I had a load of laundry I needed for an unexpected trip the following day. The building is older, and could probably use some better a/c and/or ventilation. I have never seen either the TV or the wall a/c units in use. Also, a couple of chairs inside would be nice. But the prices are great. They have regular washers for $2, newer HE washers starting at $2.50 (price depends on which cycle you select) and 2 huge super-capacity front-loaders for $5. I have been going here since about January and I have yet to meet the famed attendant that others have mentioned. Backing out of the lot can be a little hairy at times. Overall, if you live downtown, and want a nice, quaint place to do your laundry, this is definitely it. read more

Nice machines. Parking has no sign for tow, if illegally parked. No care here. Same pick up truck and Mazda parked there after close. You have two spots to hope for. No attendant, owned by Pete's Plumbing (20 something son), never answers the phone.. Best time to do laundry when the guy from Dexter's closes up....9pm, he only closes, if you lost money .. Like many other Yelpers, I used to enjoy dinner and drinks at Dexters while washing my clothes at Thornton Park Laundry. I've since boycotted this laundromat after I had to pay $100 to get my car off the tow truck after parking at the laundromat while I eating at Dexters and washing my clothes. Had I not run out to stop the driver, he would have taken my car to the impound and it would have cost much more to get my car back. The well-posted tow away signs say nothing about sitting in that building the entire time you are washing your clothes! When I tried to explain that to the driver, he just kept saying, "$100 cash to get your car." What a rip! read more

This is a laundry mat. No it doesn't have air conditioning, yes some of the machines are broken and yes you still have to use coins. I think it is a great laundry mat. The machines are clean. The Laundry pat is clean. I do think the owners take care of it. No it doesn't look like the movie's definition of a laundry mat, but that is the beauty in it. It is a clean safe place to do your laundry and leave. The nice think is the honesty of the people who attend. We left our laundry, and sinc eit is in a great location, walked thorton park for an hour and came back to all of our laundry being there. If you have been to other laundry mats, you can't always do that. I am greatful for the convience of the location of these Laundry mat and would use it agains. read more

This is where my hubby and I have done our laundry ever since our washing machine gasped it's last sad wheeze 6 months or so ago... It's okay, kind of expensive, if you're totally out of time you can drop your stuff off there in the morning (just bring a basket!) and there's a very nice lady who will wash it for you, on a $/lb basis. We've only done that once, normally what we like to do is put our laundry in, run across the street for food and drinks at Dexter's, and then run back to put it in the dryer, then more of the same at Dexter's ... and ever since we found out Dexter's has happy hour all night on Monday's, well, that's laundry night for us! I went to the coin laundry today in Thornton Park, across from Dexter's and Stephanie was soooo nice and helpful! She even gave me soap bc I had forgotten mine! Napolian, her little doggie was sweet too. Stephanie helped me get my loads of wash started and she even helped me save money by showing me which washers to use and how much wash would fit in each one. It usually costs me at least $20 to do all my laundry there but this time it was only $15! Plus it was in half the time, only took me 2 hours total to do a ton of laundry!!! Don't have a washer or dryer in my condo yet so thought I'd try this place out. Hot as hell in here. Washer is $2.50 for a 'lite' wash and up to $3.00 for a 'heavy' load. Extra large washer is $5.00. Everyone in here is complaining that their clothes are did not getting wet enough to be clean. This will be my last trip to this laundromat. read more
