Nope Blake's Coastal Nursery does not carry carnivorous plants but it's still an amazing nursery. Obviously the chickens will always be my favorite! Only if baby goats and chickens were together would it be better. I digress. The grounds looked awesome. I liked the fountain BY the chickens. I took a picture of this really beautiful woman sitting by the fountain. She really made the picture better. If you live in the area, your blessed with a nursery that has a great selection of plants, shrubs and small trees. Don't forget to check out the chickens.

After passing by a couple times and my Wife loves buying plants, we had to stop and check it out. Really broad selection of plants. From house plants to trees. This nursery has it all, even landscaping products like paver stones or rocks of different types. My Wife bought about $50.00 in pots. I am always looking for carnivorous plants. This nursery had a couple different pitcher plants, some sundew but no Flytraps. I was glad to see the carnivorous plants came from a local nursery. A little costly but available.

Yes -- I'm always looking for a healthy African Violet -- it's about the only plant I can reliably grow.... However -- all his violets are from the same mother plant -- so all have the same color blooms! They're all very pretty, but one of the good bits about growing these little darlings is that there are SO MANY different flowers out there -- Singles, doubles, semi-doubles, triples. Pansy shaped. Daisy shaped. Cupped. Bell shaped. Ruffled. Wavey. Sparkled. Striped. Speckled. Spotted. Varigated -- bi-color, tri-color and every color -- and every color from green and yellow through white, pink, violet and blue -- all the way to new varieties that are almost black. Miniatures and standards. Perky and weeping. And every kind of leaf you can imagine -- So -- his 1 violet -- while lovely (and yes, I bought one) -- is sort of the tip of the African Violet iceberg. lol. He says his shop in Lincoln City has more stuff. Can't imagine how it could have much less.... I really think this must be a store more for landscapers -- so hardly fair to judge it as anything else. And he was very nice to the crazy lady looking for violets....

I repowered my boat several years ago when BRP/Evinrude was still selling motors. Dave walked me…read morethrough the process and I got an incredible motor for a very fair price. After I sold that boat, my new to me pre-owned started overheating terribly. Dealers in Portland and Eugene looked at it and said it was more to repair than the value which told me they only wanted to sell a new motor. I met with Dave and he listened to my motor's symptoms and said that while he would appreciate selling me a new motor, I didn't need one and that he knew exactly what the design flaw was with my Merc. Left it with him for a week and for about a 1/10th of the cost of a new motor, I have a really strong, dependable, reliable motor to give me many more years of fishing and crabbing in Alsea Bay on my 2004 Jetcraft 1625 and Merc 40 4 stroke. After two plus years since the repair, it still runs great! David C.
