Really cool nursery. We stayed in Florence, Oregon to visit the Carnivorous Plants Wayside A.K.A. The Cobra Lilly, literally just down the street from here. After passing by a couple times and my Wife loves buying plants, we had to stop and check it out. Really broad selection of plants. From house plants to trees. This nursery has it all, even landscaping products like paver stones or rocks of different types. My Wife bought about $50.00 in pots. I am always looking for carnivorous plants. This nursery had a couple different pitcher plants, some sundew but no Flytraps. I was glad to see the carnivorous plants came from a local nursery. A little costly but available. read more

We were looking at Gilardia plants. I mentioned that they were spendy and not very healthy when we were warned not to steal plants or pinch plants or steal seeds. We were told that others had been caught doing this. I announced I was a Master Gardener and I have spent a lot of money there and it hadn't even crossed my mind. The lady wore a RED shirt and was so rude. I was actually surprised. I left without purchasing anything and I won't be back. The lady that was with me is also a Master Gardener and couldn't believe her ears. We will pass the word along. I will say the cashier tried to apologize as we left. read more

Recently had a sinking patio restored along with a couple new 4 x 4's on my arbor. The actual workers were great and really pushed through some bad weather. They were friendly and great to work with. But the man who gave me the bid was nice enough at that start (bidding the work) but turned quite sour (rude) when I had questions about things that weren't done as expected. Overall communication was poor. I never knew when they were coming. The patio is definitely better than it was, but its messy and I still have to use some tiles for an uneven area under a piece of furniture. Not sure I would use them again for hardscape. read more

Can I give them 25 stars?!? They took extra time to help me choose cover crop seeds and ground cover plants for my sandy, steep hillside, explaining how each choice would work. They pointed out native plants too. They helped me load my car with all my purchases. Overall, the selection here, both indoor and outdoor plants, is amazing. Beautiful pots, plants, statuary, as well as soil amendments, bark, rock, stones, etc. I am so glad they are here. What a treasure!! read more

This nursery needs more employees to help customers when it's busy. Hire seasonal employees in the spring.

We've shopped there several times over the last few years with pretty good experiences. Today was a different story. Two people working inside, no other workers in sight outside. The lady I spoke to was pleasant, but I'd say, not super knowledgeable. I was looking for a specific plant. She asked the second worker, who said he'd never heard of the plant. The First Lady helped me look a little, I thanked her and told her I would just wander and look for myself. As I was shopping, the second worker was helping another lady nearby lift a plant into a cart, but then told her he couldn't follow her around, cause he needed to help other folks. He just came off as rude all the way around. Certainly makes me think they won't need my business again. read more

We were driving by there two days ago, and we couldn't resist going inside because it looked so appealing from the exterior. What a great place! In addition to a large interior, there's a huge space in the back. There are many tempting gift items (such as statues [of various sizes]), and the flowers were *gorgeous*. After recently moving here we needed a landscaping company and some indoor plants for our new home. We drive by this business every day so we decided to stop in. We had found out that the owners were supposedly very concerned that business stay local. We are too so we thought this would be a perfect fit. MAN were we wrong! The lady behind the counter (Sue maybe?) was very rude and dismissive almost immediately. She told us in no uncertain terms that she had no indoor plants and that whoever had told us she did was wrong. She didn't offer help in any way other than sending us out of town-to Home Depot or Lowe's-and made no effort to build, save or retain our business. We found her attitude to be quite abrasive and uncalled for. As a result, I'm writing this less than positive review on YELP. I'm going to do my best to save her from the ordeal of my spending money there and I'll do all I can to keep her from being bothered by those pesky local customers. read more

Lovely place. I called to see if they had a tree I wanted, they did have some options. In order to have it held for me I needed to purchase sight unseen. I asked the sales person if the tree had a good structure, good pruning and a rounded shape and asked if a picture could be sent via text before I purchased, I was told that was not possible, but the tree had a good structure and had not been pruned by them. Fast forward a 90 minute drive. The tree has co-dominant leaders and several branches with a super narrow crotch, is tall and narrow and needs major restorative pruning. I did bring the tree home, but I am disappointed. Overall, it is a great place to wander and I may visit again in the future, but I will never trust their phone support again. read more

This is now our #1 go to for all gardening needs & of course many wants! We have to thank all the employees that have helped. Each have been knowledgeable and if they don't know are honest and find the answer to your question. They have it all here, great yard art, Pottery, oh the choices and then you have so many choices of plants to fill them. Soil amendments for us this week and the garden soil has been our go to for enhancing our yard. Ok a few plants too :O) But I need many more trips back to see it all. We've made several trips to Laurel Bay Gardens to purchase plants, flowers and bark dust, and have been very pleased with their quality, service, advice and prices. Benjamin of their staff showed great expertise and concern delivering a huge dump truck load of bark to our yard without disturbing existing plants and trees. Returning some unused stepping stones for store credit was easily accomplished. This company is highly recommended. read more
