10/10 Blake's nursery was a wonderful experience. I ended up coming back for more. Bought a gorgeous pussy willow tree and one of the owners gave me a download of how to care for it. How to fertilize, water and not shock my new addition. Will definitely be making more trips to Blake's !!!everybody's so friendly and they even give you a hot rock to carry around on a cold day to stay warm. Love it. read more

On vacation but still looking for the nurseries that actually sell carnivorous plants. The internet led us here. Even though late in the season, we still Inquired within. Nope Blake's Coastal Nursery does not carry carnivorous plants but it's still an amazing nursery. Obviously the chickens will always be my favorite! Only if baby goats and chickens were together would it be better. I digress. The grounds looked awesome. I liked the fountain BY the chickens. I took a picture of this really beautiful woman sitting by the fountain. She really made the picture better. If you live in the area, your blessed with a nursery that has a great selection of plants, shrubs and small trees. Don't forget to check out the chickens. read more

All you really need to know about Blake's is that they give you a hot stone to warm your hands when it is chilly outside. Isn't that the most charming thing ever? Okay, maybe it's not the only thing you need to know, but when I visited on an (actually rather balmy) early spring day, and a nice young man walked over to hand me one, I so appreciated the gesture, as did my always-frozen hands. As it was so early in the season, he explained they were not as stocked as they would usually be, but I still found plenty of tempting goods: loads of herbs, peonies, and strawberries, seed potatoes, pansies, adorable daffodils, even a section of "clearance" plants looking a little worse for wear but still with plenty of spunk remaining. They have a koi pond, chicken run, and a beautifully landscaped covered garden. A bubblegum pink camellia was really showing off in that latter area. They also have seeds, pots, soil, fertilizers, and various amendments. There was a small assortment of houseplants inside, and some very cool locally crafted cement planters. Every single employee I encountered was friendly to the tenth degree. Seriously, they were all so nice to me and every other customer with which I saw them interact. Prices are similar to what I've seen at other area nurseries. I think they also offer landscaping, and judging from the beauty I spied all around, they would be a great option. read more

Blake's Coastal Nursery is small and off the main road, but well worth visiting. Blakes has an extensive selection of plants that do well in a coastal environment, and they are very helpful and knowledgeable about the microclimates found in the area. It is a pleasant place to wander, and talk with neighbors and the staff. It is my go-to for nursery needs in the Lincoln City to Newport corridor. read more

I love this nursery, I've been coming here for years. They are kind and knowledgeable and it's a great place to wander. I stopped by on my most recent visit to the coast, but unfortunately there was nothing I needed. It's still a bit early in the season. They wore masks, even outside, which was wonderful and made me feel safe. They also offered a warm rock to keep my hands toasty while I wandered. Will definitely stop by next time I am at the coast. I still have my Cat Mint that I got here a couple years ago, and it's just starting to sprout up again, after the winter cold. We just recently discovered Blake's visiting the coast for a few days. Yesterday while there, we talked with the owners as well as others at the nursery. All very friendly and very knowledgeable. Upon arriving yesterday, they offered a mug of coffee to my wife and I. All of their plants/trees look very healthy. The best part of walking through their nursery, is how well marked all of their plants are. Also, there's long descriptions of each and their care and requirements. I've never seen a nursery so well marked and informative. Their prices were very fair. We made a number of purchases, and will be back. If your in their area, make sure and check them out. read more

Beautiful little nursery tucked between Hwy 101 and the beach in Gleneden Beach, south of Lincoln City. It's a little tricky to find -- there is a stoplight about 100 yards N of the actual turn into the loop road -- but once you get to the loop road -- it's on the east side, across from a little tavern. He has some beautiful landscaping plants outside -- and room for lots of goodies inside -- which evidently fills up in early spring as everybody gets the gardening bug. (I'm looking forward to this, too!) Very knowledgeable about growing between the forests and the ocean -- it's a very narrow ecosystem in this neighborhood. Lots of beautiful African Violets and orchids -- both very popular in this region, according to the owner (which is good since African Violets is all I've ever had any success with....) And he had gorgeous little Meyer lemon trees! read more

I went to Blake's today to get a pot to fit in my large ceramic pot. The first ones didn't work so they found some more for me to try and sent 4 different ones for me to try. It was a pleasure doing business there. When we returned the extra pots , they had great suggestions on trees for us to plant in the yard. We will return. read more

A great place to get great service, wonderful selection of quality products that grow in the coastal climate. I hired them to do a major garden clean up and re-planting. They were super courteous and helpful and humorous to boot! they are honest, trustworthy and fun to work with. They work fast and do a top-notch job. I found them to be extremely knowledgeable. They have a big variety of fruit producing trees and bushes along with lots of flowering bushes and plants. My garden looks beautiful and I get many complements. Bought a lot of plants and trees over the years. This Nursery knows what will survive in the coastal region. No, they do not carry everything. They do that on purpose. Read the "what survives in the coastal region" and that is why they only carry certain plants. Good people, they know their product. Good advise. read more
