On top of that, one receptionist was extremely rude and kept calling me "hun". That is not appropriate and came off as condescending and disrespectful. How about focusing on your job instead of being dismissive and unprofessional? Overall, this place lacks professionalism, respect, and basic patient care.

He cares about his patients. Some of his practices are not traditional, but they are amazing. Whether it's women health, male health, female, weight loss, mental health they have expertise in all of the above. Don't be frustrated with your health and don't be discouraged. This sounds like a ridiculous thing to have to say but in this world of HMO's where you get 7-10 minutes with a doctor who is expected to see 50 patients a day having someone that makes you feel heard and actually cared for is a BIG DEAL. She is calm, smart and attentive. There is a relationship and a consistency built up over time. When I called with a positive COVID test she called back immediately, assessed the situation, prescribed Paxlovid and reassured me she'd be there if needed. When I was depressed dealing with aging parents I called asking for an anti-depressant and she talked me out of it in a very sympathetic manner. When the Pharmacy couldn't fulfill the diabetic medication she prescribed she gave me samples until they finally got the Insurance company to cover it. It took MONTHS! That was amazing. A few days ago I got a copy of my lab results from Quest. I printed it out and highlighted what I needed to ask her about. She answered every question thoroughly. My Cholesterol is High but she didn't immediately jump to prescribing a Statin. Which is what the Insurance companies want to see to justify paying her. She asked about diet, lifestyle, sleep, stress. All the right questions. She's been in practice a long time and has an established personal network of MD's she works with. She referred me over to a very good Endocrinologist and Allergist. I could go on but suffice it to say she is a good GP. Her staff? No complaints. Alondra handles the prescription renewals and has actually been very nice, responsive and helpful. Overall, I am grateful for Dr. Hopkins and relieved I don't have to become a faceless number in the HMO system.

Regularly, I would order refills using the portal only to end up calling the doctor's office to get things done after days passed with nothing happening. (The outgoing message for the doctor encouraged using the portal for refills.) Communications to Dr. A via the portal would often lack a proper response, too. I became tired wasting time having to repeat communications. Also, at times, Dr. A appeared hurried -- not a calming, relaxed bedside manner typical of physicians I see. It's a bit busy and the staff is a bit spratec on busy days but they got Veronica. She is a legend and has been there for decades. She is super sweet. I love this establishment. His been my primary doctor for decades. I love the fact that I can walk in without an appointment. He has helped and comforted me during some really dark and difficult times of my life. Even administered to me for free once when I was broke and without insurance. Also, he dispenses some medications for free, which is extremely helpful. I live in vegas now yet drive there when I need to because I feel comfortable there. It's just where I belong.
