(Other intercom repair companies in Staten Island told us we will have to wait 3-4 days). I met with Robert very charming person and extremely knowledgeable about intercoms. He told me that he will have to rewire one of the cables. When can you do that I asked. Right now he replied. To make a not so long story short I will say that: Our intercom system started working again as if nothing ever happened. So first thank you Robert, and second I want to tell all the Yelpers fellows, Richmond Camera & Security Systems is one of the best companies in New York.

After talking to one of their technicians they sent me a quote the next morning. To be honest, we called few companies in New York City, but Richmond Camera & Security Systems is the only one that took us seriously (We are talking about 12 security cameras installation). To make a long story short, it has been two months since they installed the cameras, and until now everything looks good. For being serious, and for being responsible, I am writing this review. You will definitely be on top of our vendors list on our next project in New York.

I stopped in yesterday to have a key fob reprogrammed and was asked to come back this morning at 8:30 when the boss would be there to assist me--which I did. I asked Ash if he could reprogram my key fob. He took a look at it, stepped away for about three minutes, and came back to tell me that the battery was simply in upside down! LOL! I truly appreciated his honesty. He could have easily charged me for something I didn't need, but instead he fixed the problem and saved me $$$$! I purchased a fairly sophisticated alarm system from Mitchell over two years ago. I initially…read morereached out to him because I wanted more than the "2 doors and 1 motion detector" intro package offered by the national chains. Mitchell came to my home and we spent hours designing a system including not only all of the typical stuff such as door and window sensors and motion detectors, but also glass break monitors and water alarms for the laundry room and sump pump areas. Mitchell did not "sell" any of this stuff to me. I asked for it and we designed an excellent system together. The reason that I am writing the review today is because this is the first time that I have spoken to Mitchell in over two years. I received an alert on my control pad that a battery was low and I didn't know which device needed the new battery. I called Mitchell on his cell phone. He picked up on the second ring. I had the battery in a drawer and he identified the device and walked me through the battery change over the phone. This tells you a couple of things: 1. The equipment that Mitchell sold to me over 2 years ago works without issue. I literally have had not spoken to him in over 2 years because I have NEVER had a problem. My big problem today was that I needed a new battery. I'm OK with that. 2. Mitchell answers his phone. He is extremely responsive and knowledgeable. Mitchell is a good guy. He knows what he is doing and he sells good stuff. I recommend him without hesitation.

He suggested we troubleshoot over the phone before sending a technician to my house. Since the equipment is old, he had to send a technician after all. While I was waiting for the technician to arrive, I fiddled with the settings and ended up resolving the issue on my own. What really stood out to me was the honesty--both Mitchell and the technician could have easily said I needed new equipment or upgrade or unnecessary work, but instead they were supportive and completely upfront. Very fair, trustworthy, and refreshing to deal with a company that operates with integrity. Highly recommend for your security needs!
