I am no further along than I was when I first went to her in trying to understand my symptoms - I don't think that's because she's incompetent, but because she never took 10 minutes to find out what the problems/symptoms are I'm trying to figure out. Maybe I wasn't interesting enough, or my insurance doesn't pay enough - I don't know. But I have gotten nowhere with her. Days before my appointment I spoke with the receptionist and she confirmed that I should make my appointment through Zoc Doc, but it never came through. When I arrived at the office for my appointment the same receptionist said, "Oh I remember you from the phone but your appointment never came through." I was of course disappointed a little worried but the receptionist went to the back to check with the nurse came up to the front and told me that they be able to slip me in. I really appreciated her customer service and the flexibility of the office. Once I got back into the doctor's office, the assistant was very friendly and sweet and told me what she was doing as she was doing it so there weren't any surprises. Dr. Minter himself was also very kind and friendly. He had a great bedside manner. I had read his profile on Zoc Doc, and he seemed to care a lot about the body as a whole and about not just throwing medication and people. This showed through in my examination when he told me his diagnosis. I appreciated how he asked about other aspects about my overall health and checked on if I was exercising enough and stuff like that. The aesthetics of the office are seriously lacking, which tends to make it a very sterile and unfriendly atmosphere, but the folks are friendly enough and they seem to know their stuff.

Piedmont Hospital is not a teaching hospital for breast cancer surgery. There was no written consent for a resident to practice in a major surgery! Dr. John Symbus (plastic surgeon) had no patient/doctor relationship. Therefore, it was an illegal act by him. Stay away from this clinic and do not trust all the positive notes because they are written by a paid company! I hope this practice of allowing residents to practice on vulnerable patients causing injury and death because of lack of experience. Piedmont Hospital is not a teaching hospital and Atlanta Breast Care is a privately owned and operated by Barber family.

I contemplated looking for a new PCP, but the receptionist told me I could schedule my appointment with the new physician, Dr. Rabinovitz. Apprehensively, I agreed to it. I am so glad I did. Dr. Rabinovitz is the most attentive medial professional I have ever dealt with (and I have dealt with quite a few). She asks thoughtful questions, and takes time to listen to your questions and concerns. She remembers who I am and bits about my life. Even though I am usually rather freaked out and squeamish when I'm in an exam room, there is always at least a little laughter with Dr. R. I've had experiences where I've left a doctor's appointment feeling embarrassed and almost stupid to a degree, but this hasn't been the case since becoming a patient of Dr. Rabinovitz. I cannot recommend her enough to anyone looking for a personable, knowledgeable, physician, then this is the doctor for you.
