I was refered here from a client of mine. But I wasn't able to get an appointment with the doctor she referred me to. Due to she wasn't accepting any new clients. Even so, I really like this place and of course the Dr. Sophie Lukashok. Shes very thorough, empathetic, and compassionate about my concerns. She seems to take her time with me too unlike some offices where they rush to get through to the next patient. I brought my 15 month with me because I didn't have anyone else to keep her on short notice. Dr. Lukashok and her team were very professional about her. Finally I've found a excellent female Doctor that I can go to for my primary care. Theres not enough doctors that have good bedside mannerizims in the states either such as this place. I was referred to Dr. Lukashok by the office of Dr. Bealieau (North Highland Primary Care) and I cannot be happier. Every experience is great, I communicate openly and freely with Dr. Lukashok and have never had an issue feeling as though I am a valued patient of this practice nor that my input is not welcomed in my care. This doctor is not a good doctor she has no compassion she has terrible bedside manner I would not recommend her for anyone. I've been going to Dr. Lukashok for the past two years I thought at first that she would warm up to me. I have been HIV-positive for 23 years my health is very important to me and I'll take it very seriously. Trust me if you're a gay man and you have HIV you want a good doctor who cares . She is not a care giver nor a good doctor . Avoid Dr. Sophie Lukashok Follow up: 2 days after Dr. Lukashok "fired me" from her office I had to go to the emergency room. Dr. Hall could not believe the condition I was in. He stated that it was a good thing I came in otherwise I would have been hospitalized. Dr. Lukashok recently left her Infectious Disease practice, and went out on her own as Intown Infectious Disease. She also has a primary care practice, in which capacity I had visited her for. She was very nice, and very professional. She shares the office of Thacker, Thompson, P.C. but isn't a part of their practice. The only reason I switched is because when I checked my insurance EOB it was billed as a specialist visit. So my copay increased dramatically, which I really don't like. read more

Dr. Lukashok is amazing! I think of her like a second mom, who I'm actually 100% honest with about EVERYTHING. She's very informative and straight forward about things concerning my health. She's always provided me great other resources when I've raised any concerns to her. I absolutely love her as a doctor and continue to commute to her office, even though I now live in Washington, DC. For a good, healthy and reliable doctor and patient relationship the commute is more than worth it. I trust her with my health. Period. read more

Dr. Lukashok may be a wonderful doctor, but sadly, I will never be able to find out. I was referred to her in 2015 and made an appointment in late October. Because I have multiple health problems and cannot always drive myself, I had to reschedule my appointment several times, and ultimately cancelled it in early 2016. Well, some of my other issues have been addressed, so I attempted to make another appointment with Dr. Lukashok this week. To my surprise, the office assistant informed me that I was "banned" from ever being a patient because I had rescheduled more than twice. I told her that this was the first I had heard of such a policy, and asked if I could speak to the office manager. I was informed there is no office manager. I then asked if I could appeal to Dr. Lukashok, and although they would not let me speak with her, they said they would ask her on my behalf. After sitting on hold for a while, another lady came on the line and said Dr. Lukashok would not see me. I again explained the situation, and stated that it did not make sense to me that no one would have mentioned the policy at the time, and even allowed me to reschedule "more than twice", only to now refuse to take me as a patient. She put me on hold again for a third lady. This lady talked right over me as I tried to explain, for a third time, my situation. I told her that at no time was I ever informed of this policy. I also told her that it was nowhere in the paperwork I was sent at that time, nor did I see in on the website ( I did go back and look today at the site just to confirm, and the policy is not there). All I was told is they would take my concerns "under consideration". I realize they may have been doing me a favor, as if this is how they treat potential patients, it is likely not the place for me, but what a shame they do not feel the need to disclose policies like this before enforcing them. read more
