The staff is very kind and helpful, and the prices are reasonable and much cheaper than some of the other walk-in clinics in the area. Even without insurance, I've found it affordable and less expensive than private physicians charging $200 per visit. Though busy on occasion, the doctor never rushes through your visit and is thorough in her examination. The waiting area, exam rooms, and bathroom are always clean too.

I showed up 30 minutes early for my appointment, got a text to check in, so I went inside. Big mistake. The people next to me said they'd already been waiting an hour. When I asked the front desk why they would text me to come in if they're that far behind, I was told there's still at least an hour wait. So let me get this straight: I'm sick, you tell me to check in, then refuse to let me wait in my car because "patients need to wait inside"? Why? So we can all sit shoulder-to-shoulder, coughing on each other, while you run an hour behind schedule? If every patient is on time and you're just piling us up in a waiting room, you're not running a clinic--you're running a hostage situation. If you're this behind, don't text patients to come in and then not allow us to leave if we want to hold our appointment time??

Beware of price gouging and sketchy business practices!…read more I came in for an insect bite, and I saw one of the NPs and his student. The visit lasted a total of 30 minutes with less than 10 minutes of time spent with the actual provider. They prescribed me some cream and steroid pills. A couple weeks later I received my bill which was over $400! This was with the practice being covered by insurance and my insurance company covering a portion of the charge. Not only that, but the provider listed was an MD who practices in Atlanta. The codes they used for the visit were also not appropriate for the visit duration and type. I tried to contact them and get the codes changed for the visit, but they kept making excuses for how they could use the codes that they did. I decided it ultimately wasn't worth the hassle, but I will certainly NOT be back!

Overall: great staff! Long wait…read more.. I came here for a pre-employment drug screening and physical. After being told by my new employer that Concentra would most likely not be able to get me in and out within an hour, I looked up the location by Yelp. The reviews scared me a bit, due to negative customer reviews and long wait times. I decided to go on a Saturday. The location was open from 10-3, so I came at 9:30am. At 9:50, 4 patients had already lined up. By 10, 4 others had shown up. Jalyssa greeted us kindly at the door. She stated to sign in and she would call us up. She was very nice and handled the very busy situation perfectly. She stayed calm and was respectful to everyone. After a 1.5 hr wait, I was finally called back. The wait was due to the amount of patients ahead of me and the clinic only having 1 front desk, 2 medical assistants, and 1 doctor on staff. Raymond began taking my stats. He was very kind and cheerful, despite the busy morning. As I was waiting to take my drug screening in the lab area, Richard (the other medical assistant) walked by and greeted me. I thought it was very nice that he acknowledged me and spoke to me. After the drug screening, I was escorted to my room. Dr. Henderson finished my physical. He was very nice and very quick. My overall impression of the location was that it was clean, well kept, great staff, but short-staffed. It took 2 hours to complete my visit.

I waited 3.5 hours, when you go ask anything during the wait time they will act annoyed as if they are the ones there for a work related chemical burn. 3.5 hours and they still messed up my prescription since I left at 6pm an entire hour after they close, that means I have to wait another day to begin treatment. This group of staff does not care about the patients that come in, they rather gossip at the frontdesk and fake whisper like the entire room can't hear you. I think its safe to say that any review you see above a 1 star is probably a few staff members trying to raise their disgusting score.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING EXPERIENCE -- DO NOT GO HERE, EVER!…read more Piedmont Urgent Care in Covington, GA (off 278) is the absolute worst medical experience I've ever had, and I need everyone to hear this loud and clear: DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE. I came in visibly, obviously sick -- relentless coughing, body aches, sore throat, green phlegm, sinus pressure. They took my vitals, asked why I was there, told me the nurse practitioner Alicia would be in shortly. FORTY-FIVE MINUTES later, Alicia shows up, spends maybe ONE MINUTE with me, listens to my lungs (even while I'm actively coughing), glances at my throat, claims I somehow have thrush from an inhaler I literally just started using the DAY BEFORE, writes a prescription, and walks out. No real exam, no time spent, no care shown. I felt completely insignificant. Like I was just another box to check off. They made me feel like a burden, like I was just wasting their time -- when I was clearly very sick and needed help. I even asked for a second opinion and was denied on the spot. "Nothing's wrong except thrush," they told me. On top of that, they made me spend additional money, and I've heard nothing from my insurance company. It's like they're more focused on cranking through as many patients as possible -- probably because they get paid by how many people they shove in and out, not by the hour or by quality of care. They don't slow down, they don't listen, they don't CARE. And here's the kicker: after I got upset and asked for more help, they suddenly sent in a random white woman -- someone I hadn't seen at all when I first arrived -- like that would somehow calm me down or change my mind. Did they think switching the face in the room would fix the problem? It was bizarre and honestly felt insulting. Alicia and the entire staff at this location should be absolutely ashamed. This is not medical care. This is a factory line. Patients deserve to be seen, heard, and treated with respect -- not rushed through like dollar signs on a balance sheet. I will NEVER go back, and I strongly warn everyone: if you care about your health and want actual medical attention, STAY FAR AWAY from Piedmont Urgent Care Covington. You deserve better. We all do!
