I had a wonderful experience at this location. The space is very nice and welcoming from the very moment you enter. Dr Yager is very outgoing and flexible to my schedule! Definitely recommend this practice to those in need of someone who will help with all your needs. read more

NO NO and one more time NO! We're both immigrants me and my wife, he basically tricked us to rip us off. Situation 1. Me, getting my check up (nothing else, I have it for free in my package). After it I've asked if I could get some referrals bc I'm an diabetic and had to get some doc appointments. He gave me 3, charged me $150ish for them (of course I realized he shouldn't after a while, probably just dropped some different code on the bill to get this money Situation 2. My wife. She's the healthiest person in the world (really, we're Polish and she was missing from our healthcare system for 3 years due to some mistake in the system...she didn't have to go to the doctor for so long nobody even knew). Her check up (in package), he's started asking questions after.my wife was like no I'm fine I feel good etc all the way but he's pushing. So in the end she's said she's having occasional headaches. "Ok, you should get some pills for that then contact some doctor of it gets worse" he's said. Bill...$150 for that great advice (once again he was pushing her to say anything to basically rip her off). THE WORST! NEVER COMING BACK! read more

If you need a standard exam, it might be fine here. But do not go here for any type of blood work. The "office" is decaying in front of your very eyes...doesn't exactly make for a comfortable experience as a patient. Unlike literally every other doctor's office in this country, there are no electronic systems; everything is done by snail mail only. More importantly, there have been multiple allegations of fraud associated with the billing methods in this practice. Don't let them bully you into charging more than you truly owe. read more

Dr. Yager is an old school physician who always has time for his patients. He and his staff are very professional and always greet you with a smile. My schedule isn't the easiest to work around; however, he's insisted, more than once, that he wouldn't mind coming in on a Saturday or Sunday to see me. You'll not find that elsewhere and speaks volumes to his dedication to his patient's well-being. I highly recommend his practice to anyone searching for a new PCP! read more

This was my 1st visit, the staff was friendly and honest. Sharon is the best with a needle i have seen. They were patient, took their time with me. Even though this Dr. is in Buckhead I felt extremely comfortable. I myself am in healthcare and work for a huge organization here in Atlanta, and this was perfect. Dr. Yager listened to me and was interested in pursuing the things that concern me. The antique decor was fun and comforting, it's not posh, but I don't need my doctors office to be. Don't hesitate to visit this doctor. read more

Yager Howard S, MD - Family Practice Near Me - Atlanta, Georgia

Dr. Yager's office has some of the nicest staff I have ever met. They are very kind, professional, and knows how to calm their patients. On first sight the office seems antique, but that's not really an issue for me. I actually find myself liking the antique quite a bit. The office is still equipped with all the standard medical equipment, so no worries on that. Onto the doc himself. I was only in for a physical, but from what I can see, he knows his trade. He genuinely thinks for the patients and advises and treats them the way he knows the best. read more

Dr Yager and his staff have been taking care of me and my family ever since we moved to Atlanta. They are wonderful and really give you the feeling of a family physician as opposed to a clinical environment. read more

I appreciate Dr. Yager, but his staff needs more training. They are unprofessional in both care and attitude. I made him my PCP about 3 years ago. I usually come once a year but, even in those visits, have noticed a decline in service. Last year, I had some questionable charges that I still have yet to figure out. He charged me almost double my office visit plus something else and he's an in-network provider...it was just weird. Really weird. I left with the same feeling I would have had if I discovered that a stranger just doublecrossed me. Then, my most recent appointment was a disaster! They just need to shut the doors. read more

I would highly suggest choosing another primary care physician. The facility has sanitary issues, unprofessional staff, and poor service and bedside manner. In addition, I have had to call Dr. Yager and staff multiple times to get the results of my blood work and I still have yet to receive them and it has been over 2 months. read more

Dr Yager is very kind and has a small practice. I have referred a few friends to him as he and his staff have been very pleasant. He is great at helping with your basic primary care needs. read more

I was very clear about why I made an appointment, and after a rude nurse, they didn't even order the tests I needed. I wouldn't recommend.

I have seen this doctor for my annual physical and wanted him to have a closer look at my blood exam results. On the day of the exam we obviously didn't have the lab results and when I raised my concerns I was told we should wait for said lab result. Once my results came back I had to request a follow-up, and during the follow-up all he did was refer me to another doctor and then charge me 100$. I really don't see why he wouldn't give me a referral right away. read more

Met with Dr. Yager and his staff last weekend. They were very thorough, mindful of the time, and offered solutions. It was a inviting and efficient time spent leaving work at 10:45am, and getting back by 1:45pm. read more

I love Dr. Yeager, he is a trusted family physician from my Mom to my two children.

I've been there twice, and had to wait a combined 3 hours. No apologies either. Dr. Yager is a bit past his prime and wasn't very knowledgeable about my condition. He didn't even check to see if he had any samples or coupons for my medication, which is very expensive. Both he and his office belong in a Norman Rockwell painting, my suggestion is to find someone in the 21st century. read more

Not personable, long wait times, didn't make an effort to get to know me during the appointment at all. Also double charged me. I found another PCP in the area. read more

Ok experience. This doctor was the most expensive doctor of the area. We pay out of pocket until we meet our deductible so it matters for us. We were disappointed with his service. My husband has been on a certain prescription for years now. We moved the area so we had to find a new doctor which was dr yager. He changed my husbands prescription to only half the dosage even though my husband explained and recommended his same prescription. Even the pharmacists questions the prescription w/o me even saying anything. She just knew from seeing his past history. Furthermore, He said it's $50 (each month) for every time we go to pick up the prescription script from his office. Will not return. Seemed more money driven. read more

When we moved away a few years ago I was sad to have to find another primary care physician. I mean who would really compare to Dr Yager? No one! We have recently moved back to the Atlanta area and are very happy to be back with Dr Yager and his amazing team! He really cares about his patients and their well being. We love you Dr Yager!!! read more

I love this office. Dr. Yager and his staff are awesome! If you live or work in the Buckhead area and want a real doctor that gives you real attention and care, they are great. read more

okay, so the staff isn't the most efficient in the world. But think of Dr. Yager's office as old school neighborhood family doctor. If you change your expectations with regard to the logistical stuff you will be happy. I have been going to him about once a year on average over a 12 year time period. Even though he doesn't seem overly warmly receptive etc, at first, once you get to know him, you will find that he is actually a very kind, caring and compassionate person. He listens attentively and is very responsive with your concerns and is often available on a walk-in basis. I HATE the institutional, drowning in paperwork, schedule two months ahead of time BS you have to deal with at most doctors' offices. His office may not have all the bells and whistles and its not all fancy pants and shiny and new (its in an old house built in around the 1940's) but I love Doctor Yager. Big thumbs up from me. read more

The only Doctor that actually looks at you when u talk and he sincerely cares about your well being, has compassion and empathy , not many M.D. s left in the world like this one ! It s located in a cute old house and reminds you of the golden days of how treating patients used to be, so if you are too snobby modern, u may want to go some place else. I rather visit a simple practice like this one than a modern new doc in a box anyway !! read more

This was honestly the worst experience I have ever had a doctors office. I've never written a review online before but am writing this one on the chance it will save some from the same experience I had. Dr. Yager himself wasn't bad, I went in for a simple physical but his nurse/ office assistant has no idea what she's doing. I had to weigh myself which I found strange but still acceptable. It was the way she took my blood that is leading me to write this review. It was incredibly painful, she did not wear gloves, and I think the surface she placed the equipment on was not sterile. But the worst part of all was I think she injured one of nerves in the process because my arm continued to hurt for weeks, it has since recovered but I will never go there again!! read more

Found Dr. Yager several years ago when my former GP moved out of state. Have to give him serious credit. Most of the time when you call the office, he actually answers the phone. I dont know where the 3 hour wait is coming from... if I've called when I was sick, his usual answer is come over as soon as you can. Good luck finding another practice that can do that. Other great thing is that he remembers you, he remembers what youre taking...and he truly bailed me out last week. Stuck with a killer migraine - he sorted me out over the phone. Pharmacy delivered the meds and I was back to normal in no time. read more

It's been almost a year since my first and last visit. Not only have I not received my lab tests but they made a mistake when submitting it to the lab and instead of charging it to my insurance I keep receiving the bill. I have called probably over 20 times and had to go in person and still nothing. They are un profesional. My husband was feeling nauseous when his blood was taken and they didn't have anything to give him. Left him in a room without even asking how he felt. This is probably the only review I've made in many years but I felt I had to share it. I understand when things are not perfect and I am forgiving but this is another level. I would've been ok if they actually fixed it or even followed up but not even that. That's just lack of care and good service. Incredible that it's the place where they suppose to care the one that cares the least. read more
