There is parking available on a limited basis in an attached garage, of which the entrance is found at the side of the library building. other parking is available on the street and in nearby garages and flat lots. In a world where so much has come to rely upon other forms of infotainment, this building is and remains a temple for print and other forms of reading. One of my favorite features are the holiday displays and events that occur throughout the year. The stunning architecture and exquisite white marble are a fitting tribute to the treasures housed within.

I love coming here to get work done because it's cozy and relatively quiet, even after school lets out. There is an auditorium for special presentations, and workshops. A plus for me is that even though this library is smaller than many of the Columbus Metropolitan Library locations, the diversity of the books and authors is vast! If you have the app you can request books this location has as well as through interlibrary loan. You can also listen to ebooks and keep track of the books and resources you currently have checked out. One of my favorite things here is that the library keeps track of what you have read and lets you know how much money you have saved by utilizing the library instead of purchasing the books yourself. This library also has a section where you can check out board games.

For being the main branch of the Upper Arlington Public Library system, this place could surely use…read morea facelift. There is plenty of space on the inside, but everything is quite outdated. Another major downside is the noise level, which at times can be pretty loud as everything kind of echos throughout. There is a very small quiet space on the far east side of the building but with mainly reading chairs, not an ideal place to work if you need a table. If you intend to get some work done here, make sure you have noise cancelling headphones. The perks are the location and a very large parking lot.

Ever since they joined Columbus's ghetto system everything's gone way downhill. This used to be a quality Library now it's just a capitalist garbage Library just like the rest of Franklin county. Just another Library run by tone deaf ignorant people that have more than enough money to pay their bills while everybody beneath them does the grunt work while they stand over them proudly. I sat in on one of the board meetings and the HR lady was bragging about how she saved the library $200,000 by cutting off health care to the library staff. They were given cheap ichra instead. They really don't care about their staff and it shows.

The leaders are great and we learn many new songs and motions to songs. It's a great learning tool for the children. There are several play areas where the kids can play with toys, digital pads, Melissa and Doug puzzles, Lakeshore and more. There is a section of board games that one can borrow. It's great as they have many newer games to choose from. I love that I can horror a game for up-to 2 weeks. It's a great way to test a game out to see if we like it or not. There are nice family restrooms with changing tables and a large area to bring a stroller if needed.

Even with wax earplugs or EarPods you simply cannot mask the noise level. I've spoken with staff regarding the issue and was told it's normal. After school is out then you're dealing with disrespectful teenagers, sitting around, acting up and being disruptive and claiming all the decent computers just to sit and watch videos or play games. Can't they do this at home so that others can actually utilize the library as it was meant to be used? If the teens have taken up all the adult allowed area ( yes their sections for the age groups ) and there is a free seat elsewhere you NOT allowed to use it unless you have a child with you. If that's not discriminating I don't know what is. Wasted tax dollars at work!!! Would've been cheaper to build a free daycare center elsewhere. While I enjoy the futuristic modern design, the open center is complete wasted space only designed for aesthetic purposes, not useful. And lastly, with all the windows, it is absolutely freezing in the winter time....and yes burning up in the summer. I suggest New Albany library where the youth have respect for their surroundings, unless you're a deadbeat parent needing to pawn your child off on someone else, then the Gahanna library is for you.

They have good selection of Clintonville local history, a pretty big teen area. They said the graphic novel selection was the biggest around. The magazines were in good condition and organized well! Who wants to pay $7+ for a magazine when you can sit for a while and read it for free here! The library was clean as were the bathrooms. Parking was plentiful.
