02/19/2026: Shopping At Blue Oaks Nugget Market Store, i.e., I'm cooking dinner for my family…read more BTW: I learned a "Gee Whiz Fact" from the Nugget Market's Meat Department Butcher--the grass-fed beef must have a little fat in the center in order, retaining moisture for either grilling or broiling. Aside, I'm a petite individual: I inquired with Customer Service if, I may " . . . borrow a Customer Service Member's height for reaching two products which are too high for me reaching." A Customer Service Member laughed when I stated I didn't want the glass bottles cracking my head, i.e., safely assisting reaching and giving me the organic, Tart Cherry Juice and the organic, Lemon Olive Oil I wanted purchasing. Moreover, I wanted purchasing BULK organic spices and organic tea as well . . . Overall and ironically strangely noting: Blue Oaks Nugget Market Store's location boasts an incredible inventory which ultimately surpasses El Dorado County, Placer County, and Sacramento County Nugget Market locations' store inventory comparing to Blue Oaks Nugget Market Store's inventory! AMAZING, indeed.

Too many chances over the years, and after a recent experience, I had to write a review. I grew-up…read moregoing to the original Nugget, and I loved it! However, this location does not live up to their standards. Went to the deli to order a sandwich. I and other patrons are told they ran out of avocado and pickles. How is this possible? They're a grocery store. I asked if they would discount the price, but they refused. I still decided to order. The sandwich employee making my sandwich was coughing on my sandwich the entire time he was making it. Hands me the sandwich, and I rejected to purchase it. The sandwich was less than an inch thick. I have never seen a sandwich of that poor quality in all the years I've been a customer. I can't justify buying from this location moving forward.

This is everything grocery shopping should be. The employees are super friendly, there are enough…read moreemployees there that you're not waiting around for anything, there's always someone bagging while the checker works, there are NO self checkout lines (I can't stand self checkout), and you don't have to enter your phone number into anything in order to get the sale prices. In the rare occasions when I'm not able to find something I wanted, it's because it's something so obscure I wind up having to either ordering it online or making a trip to some hidden specialty store in the Bay Area to get it. I've been shopping here for a couple of years. There's another grocery store that's five minutes from my house, but I drive the 20 minutes to shop here because the overall experience is so much better. Today's trip really stood out to me because of a couple things... while I was at the deli waiting for the clerk to work on my order, at least three other employees came up to me and asked if I was being helped. I've been to other stores where I've stood at a counter for literally 5 minutes, watching employees going out of their way to not acknowledge me. That never happens here. Then I was really taken aback by how the peppers and mushrooms were displayed. The fact that whoever stocked these mushrooms took the time to turn every mushroom cap side up and arranged all the portobellos the way they are speaks to a dedication to quality work. You can tell that in this store, nobody half-asses anything, and the employees take pride in what they do.

Nugget Markets is basically the bougiest grocery store chain in the greater Sacramento area…read more All of the packaged deli foods perpetually look like they were chopped within the past thirty minutes, the bakery section looks like an actual high end European bakery, the floors are clean enough to eat off of, and the associates all seem happy with their jobs. This particular Nugget has a fairly large upstairs patio area with tables, chairs, restrooms, water bottle refilling station, microwave, etc. Lots of grocery stores in this area have a downstairs lounge area, but being upstairs (but still accessible via a ramp and elevators) gives it an extra edge. Plus you can't beat that view of the Mercedes dealership. The salad selection is some of the best I've seen anywhere, although they are very pricey at about $10/8oz (which is why I haven't actually tried one). I came here in search of some tampons that I couldn't find at Target, and was thrilled that this store carried small boxes of single sizes, versus the huge multipacks they had at Target. Thank you Nugget for doing a better job at procuring feminine health items than Target. As a bonus this store (like many others) is within walking distance of the wetland preserve.

Stopped into Nugget to grab fresh raspberries for homemade crème brûlée (using them as the…read moretopping), and it was one of those quick grocery runs that reminded me why I like shopping here. The berries looked beautiful -- fresh, bright, and exactly what you want when you're making something special and don't want to risk disappointing fruit. Produce quality really does make a difference, especially when it's the star of the dish. I also ended up finding a garlic olive oil I've been looking for, which felt like a bonus win. Nugget is great for those moments when you need something a little more specialty and don't want to drive all over town searching for it. The store was clean, well stocked, and easy to get in and out of, which I always appreciate when I'm just popping in for a few things during a busy day. It's one of those places where you can reliably find quality ingredients whether you're cooking something special or just grabbing everyday groceries. Final verdict: absolutely worth it.

The fresh baked bread here seems to be the best compared to other grocery stores in the area,…read morehowever it costs a lot more. The pugliese bread is my favorite as it is soft, fluffy, and taste delicious! The sourdough is also yummy and has a light airy consistency.  The sandwiches are made with the fresh baked bread and are delicious! Even though the store opens at 6am, the bread is not ready until 8-9am, therefore it is best to order a sandwich a couple hours after the store opens for the optimum selection of bread. I once made the mistake of ordering a sandwich at 7am and was only presented with two bread options: sliced bread or focaccia. I selected the focaccia and although the bread was tasty, it made for a very soft and ultimately soggy sandwich.  There is a large prepared/hot food section that is self-serve. On one occasion while I was selecting a soup to purchase I witnessed an employee wiping up the spilled food from the counter and putting it back into the large food tray. It was absolutely nauseating and I immediately questioned if I should even purchase the soup given the lack of proper food cleanup/handling.  The grocery items cost much more than other grocery stores for the same exact item. Nugget seems to carry a variety of high-quality ingredients and typical well-known brands. The cost of produce and meat is much higher than other grocery stores, although the meat is typically sourced from local farms.  During Thanksgiving Nugget carries a large selection of high quality turkeys. There are a few turkeys that are sourced from local farms that are advertised as natural, antibiotic free, and free range. When purchasing a Turkey for Thanksgiving it is always advised to call and preorder as the high quality turkeys sell out fast.

Ugh! I'm not sure what to say about Nugget Market on Florin because it's so good…read more Fresh and lovely produce, the salad bar is great, the bakery super yummy, the deli is kinda epic. In addition, staff is so helpful and nice. My singular gripe is the cost of items, but I also don't get a full cart of groceries there for the very reason of prices. Still, I love them.

I will say that "Nugget Markets" is one of the top leading grocery store chains in the greater…read moreSacramento area. Headquartered in Davis, CA dating back to 1926, they have been more of an upscale supermarket experience by offering top-notch customer service while being a forefront to the community. This includes empowering future generations, fortifying the neighborhoods, cultivating environmental change, and inspiring philanthropy. The location I am focusing on is in the Greenhaven-Pocket area. Located in a fairly sizable outdoor strip mall, this Nugget is located directly on Florin Rd and tucked in between Greenhaven Dr and the CA I-5 highway. As for this location, they have been in operation since around 2005 and been a staple for folks that reside in this area. Since I used to work only a 1/2 mile from this store (for about 3 years), I've frequented it on my lunch break as well as before and after work. The parking situation is shared with several other smaller brick-and-mortar businesses including a Starbucks, Subway, L&L Hawaiian BBQ, and much more. The storefront entrance is inviting and welcoming as the entire layout is accommodating while being easy to navigate for customers. I will say that the selection at Nugget is quite possibly the best I have seen in any local grocery store. Here you will find a vast array of produce (regular/organic fruits and veggies), meat/poultry, dairy, frozen foods, and a very impressive variety of beer and wine. However, their deli section which includes all varieties of meats, cheeses, and freshly baked breads is a real winner in my book. The hot and cold foods to go showcase freshly made soups, salads, olives, cold cuts, and meals that you can heat up on your stove or on your BBQ grill. I also wanted to emphasize that the sandwiches here are some of the best I have tried, better than Raley's/Bel Air and much better than what you'd order at a Safeway or Save Mart (all staple supermarkets in Northern California). In addition to the sandwiches, they also offer coffee/tea, fresh juices, açai and Pitaya bowls, smoothies, and much more. I will say that since Nuggets focuses on quality control, much of their food items are significantly higher than the competition. However, just about everything I've purchased here (whether it is pasta, a bottle of wine, or a loaf of bread) has been above average. All in all, the Florin-Greenhaven "Nugget Markets" earn a 4 out of 5 stars from me. Some of the key staple items are quite expensive and don't correlate with my budget. However, the customer service here is top notch while the cleanliness of the store is very well kept. I also wanted to add that the checkout lanes were run very efficiently while making sure every customer is well taken care of. And considering they are open for business 7 days a week from 6am-9pm, you can be assured that they will have what you're looking for.

My favorite out of the 2 was the Strawberry Rhubarb Pie. It was sweet and tart but not to sweet. Perfect amount of sweetness. The Apple Crumble pie was good but definitely didn't best the Strawberry Rhubarb. Besides their pie they also have a restaurant connected to the market place that sell burgers and sandwiches which looks good and a at very reasonable. They have there own private parking lot with fairly a lot of parking spaces. The parking can be hard to find, depending on the time you go. We arrived there around 130ish and it was crowded Ikeda's is definitely a placet to stop and grab those freshly bake pies.
