Jody was great on the phone before the work began but the experience quickly went downhill once he started. First of all, he delayed and didn't show up according to the days that we had booked well in advance. The first excuse was a personal family emergency which I had no problem with but the next time he said his truck broke down on the highway, etc. etc. So the job dragged out and finished 3 weeks later than we had planned. However, besides not being reliable, the far bigger issue is the quality of the work. After day one, he definitely used unskilled day laborers for the remainder of the job. The day laborers worked really hard and were delightful ... but they had no experience doing what they were doing. I hate to think what he was paying him but he charged us a lot. I now have to hire new contractors to rip everything up and re-do his work. We have a terrible run-off situation, a pool of water that is a mosquito trap, cracks in the concrete/cement and a mess of concrete/cement left behind on our blue stone sidewalk. He has not responded to my follow up messages. Never again.
