We went to a whole bunch of flooring places this past Tuesday and we had, by far, the best…read moreexperience here! My husband flips houses and is doing his first east coast one since moving from California. We made a day out of stopping in to a bunch of flooring places between the property (Woodstock) and our home (NYC) to check out the options for hardwood flooring. It turned out the flooring he used for the California properties was WAY more expensive here on the east coast, probably due to shipping, so we were suddenly scrambling to find an option that would fit the vision without going over budget. We were looking around the showroom at Kingston One and Sean came over and asked if we needed help. There is a HUGE selection of beautiful, beautiful flooring and we were finding lots of things that would be perfect but everything that resembled the flooring he'd used in CA was much more expensive than he'd budgeted for the current house. Sean listened to what we were looking for, pulled out a number of good options that were very similar to the ones we wanted but much closer to the price we were looking for. He found us one that was still about $1.50 (psf) more than we wanted to spend but that seemed to be as close as we were going to get right at that moment. He said to give him our number and he'd dig deeper and see what he could find. We said thanks and headed out to check some other places. We stopped in eight other places on our ride back to the city that day and weren't able to find any better deal. Most of them had the same one that we'd sort of resigned ourselves to (the one that was $1.50 more than we'd budgeted) but the one at Kingston one was still the least expensive for that one. Then, as we're driving, Sean calls and says he found something for exactly our price point that was VERY similar. I was skeptical but my husband went back the next day and it was perfect! It's some new product that just came out, Sean had hunted for what we were looking for and found it! I know this is a giant wall of text and maybe more detail than necessary but I just wanted to make it clear that our experience here was so far above and beyond what we'd experienced everywhere else.

I spent the fall searching for the right flooring and found it at Kingston Carpet One - an engineered hardwood from a company called Mercier. Adam helped me with information, support, the best price I found anywhere for this flooring and even delivery to the city all the way up to the apartment itself! They've also helped me with a cut-to-order area rug for the office area and proper padding to protect my beautiful new floor. My contractor has just completed installation of the floor and it is gorgeous! From beginning to end, Kingston Carpet One has been professional, friendly, courteous and considerate of my special needs. If you need carpet or other flooring, go to them!

Over the past several months I have used Troy Bennett (AKA Chancee…read moreEnterprises) on several projects, including clearing areas and applying landscape fabric and gravel, three separate roofing projects and replacement of fascia board and gutters. Each time that I called, Troy responded quickly and came, along with his wife Tabitha (who is actively involved in communications and helping the projects to go smoothly), to assess the project needs and subsequently provide a written estimate. I did not have to wait long to have any of my projects completed. Depending on the project, Troy completed the work himself (the landscaping projects) or delegated the work to the appropriate team. In all instances, the workers arrived on the scheduled dates and completed the projects professionally and in an extremely timely manner. Troy provided documentation of his insurance and took care of procuring all of the necessary permits that were needed for the roofing projects. I have found Troy to be reasonably priced and honest. In addition to the projects that I have had completed thus far, Chancee Enterprises is able to take care of just about any project, large or small related to home and property. I would not hesitate to call him again for future projects. It is a pleasure to work with people who are friendly, honest, responsive and get the job done.

The finish in the kitchen and part of the dining has unacceptable issues. This has been a problem since day one. There is dark staining coming through the wood on the seams. The finish is uneven and the floor stains when anything touches it. It just seems like the floor has no protection at all. The rest of the house does not have this issue. We have sent Mike pictures, asked him to come... which he has done... but 2.5 years later he has done nothing to resolve the problem. We have called and called. In our last conversation, we told him his behavior is unacceptable and unprofessional 2.5 years was too long to wait! He told me "We are too far out of the way and inconvenient...that I would just have to wait a little longer. Funny, he didn't feel that when he took the job. Sadly, he has mistaken our kindness and patience for weakness. Therefore, we are left with little choice but to let future customers know that this business DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK and begin a social media campaign to get this word out. I would NEVER use this business and absolutely do not recommend them. We purchased carpeting from Fosters Flooring in Staatsburg. They were much better, responsive, and professional. I would highly recommend them.
