Fantastic location -- in the middle of everything we wanted to see, and a quick walk from terrific restaurants, cafes, shopping, music, walking tours, museums, historical sites, parks, events, amenities (like pharmacies, clinics, laundry), and a gazillion victorian pubs, all filled with life and laughter and conversation. The Inn's own pub was cozy, clean, and interesting, with a fine selection of beers, whiskeys, etc., and on Sunday nights, there is traditional Irish music ("trad") in the bar, which was excellent. Plus (and this was a bit magical), despite being on a main thoroughfare, and despite all of Dublin seeming to go OUT at night, the place was really quiet at night, so we never had trouble getting to sleep. The room was really tiny (took a bit of shuffling for two people to get around the bed), but it was quite lovely (refurbished 2020), it had nice amenities (hair dryer, lots of electrical outlets, two bottles of water every time the room was made up), the bed was large and comfortable, the small shower had great water pressure and both a rain shower head and a handheld shower head, and as long as you are not an extra-large human being, how much room do you really need? We didn't spend a lot of time in the room, with so much of Dublin to see! Finally, the folks that ran the Inn were lovely, and took terrific care of us. Other stuff: there's a night porter, who let us in after our red-eye flight arrived -- there's always a way to contact someone in case of need, even though there is no front desk (during bar hours, you just check in there). read more
