He said that Dr. Salehpour seemed to be able to accomplish things that other oral surgeons couldn't. He was right. I not only have implants but he was flexible with what drugs and things to use as I have lots of sensitivities. Everything went smoothly and no real pain, just some mild discomfort first day. He is also very patient with answering questions. His staff were also very helpful. I highly recommend him.

I always wait to schedule my cleanings, etc for when I am in the Monterey area. Recently, I had a dental emergency- and luckily it happended while I was in the Monterey area. I called Dr. Ikemiya's office immediately. Unfortunately, the doctor was out sick. so his office referred me to another dentist. What was really exceptional, though, was that Dr. Ikemiya himself called me back- *several times* - from his *sick* bed to check on me and be sure I was getting the care I needed. Not only that, but he left me his *cell number* so that I could call him back. I was truly overwhelmed. One just does not find this level of caring, compassion and *access* to physicians these days. I have unfortunately had some experience w/other medical professionals who take advantage of emergency situations by charging exhorbitant fees. Not so with Dr. Ikemiya. His fees are very reasonable and *fair*. I have always found the staff to be very pleasant and efficient, the office & equipment are state of the art, and the hygenists do the most thorough job of any I've ever encountered. If you're looking for the BEST dentist in the area (or anywhere, for that matter) you simply can't do any better than Dr. Ikemiya. Wish I could give him TEN STARS! Getting through to the front desk was a bit difficult, but not impossible. Parking is easy. The office is clean and has a Keurig machine and magazines in the waiting area. Wait time was not too long. After the initial visit and exam, I scheduled my cleaning and a chat with the doctor about plans to move forward. It will be an additional visit to complete work, though Dr. Lehr did ask if this would work for my schedule. Overall it seems like a great office, though I am still a bit leery after my husband's insurance issue.

My wife found this office through Yelp, so we gave them a call. The staff were awesome, understanding this was an urgent situation, and were willing to squeeze me in. Mid afternoon on a Friday! How awesome is that? Since there was no pain or bleeding, I opted to take the next available appointment. The doc totally understood the issue. With nice, modern computer x-rays, and a quick and professional exam, the doc made a clear diagnosis. He took the time to clearly explain what happened and why, with some options on various repairs. Dr. Osaki was very personable and pleasant, and every member of his staff I dealt with was equally great. They are not contracted with my dental carrier, and still worked with me on the financial end. All in all, I do believe I have found my new regular dentist. I eagerly look forward to voluntarily exposing myself to avoidable pain and discomfort, knowing I'm really in good hands.

Listen I'm a lover of dogs but there's a time and a place and unless that dog is a service dog it has no place in a dental office. Secondly there is just a general lack of professionalism. The receptionist/assistant ladies were very nice and welcoming, but that's it. Dont make the mistake of booking a noon appointment , Once they get you in that crowded room everyone is squeezing through cracks, they move you from chair to chair to make room for their millions of patients they can't attend to at once and they very loudly talk about how they're rushing because it's almost lunch time and they're about to leave without the Dr. After waiting for more than an hour for the Dr to be available he finally got to me, chewing his lunch in my face. He was rushed, distracted, barely looked at my X-rays, lacked attention to detail, and I genuinely felt that he cares more about making money than about the patients health and well being. He was suggesting exaggerated procedures which would technically solve the problem but it wasn't the most efficient. I would hear prices before hearing actual solutions. It is saddening that a place like this that primarily serves people from the Hispanic community who sometimes don't speak english, are low income, lack the tools and knowledge and access to better take care of their teeth, finally build the courage to go to the dentist only to get scammed by Dr. Mireles. And yes if you're thinking "hmm where do I know that name from?" Yes he's from that old ass commercial. When I told my parents who the Dr was they said " oh no why would you go to that guy. He's the the worst and oldest scammer in salinas" So learn from my mistakes, if you're gonna end up paying a million dollars anyway, might as well pay them somewhere where you'll be better and CLEANER service.
