I expected more from my local vet's office since I was a regular customer. Because I have been coming here for several decades, they took great care in an uncomfortable situation. I read reviews and have heard horror stories and miraculous stories about AVC. Personally, I have had two not great experiences but so many wonderful experiences as well. Things changed after the book came out (movie kinda explains why) and AVC became more large animals with pets being more a "side business". Yes the wait it usually LONG but you have to realize that is the nature of medical. It also says that a lot of people trust them with their fur babies. They have always been a "residency" vet for Texas A&M but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. I have had to go to ERs for animals and had a huge bill for nothing more often than not. Again, it is medical.

Kelly worked with me and my family for well over a year until we found the perfect addition to our family. Her honesty is what I appreciate about her most of all. She welcomed my vet to perform the PPE and gave me a trial period of 30 days to make sure everything was good. Kelly and her husband brought my horse to me quickly and walked around my facility to make sure he was found a good home. I've NEVER had someone care enough to do that. This spoke volumes to me.
