I've waited a bit to write this. I wasn't sure I could come up with the correct words to really leave an effective review that didn't sound like the rest. I hadn't heard of Thomas John prior to seeing a commercial for Seatbelt Psychic. After watching one show I followed him on social media. I'm not a skeptic so he didn't have much to prove to me except that he was for real. I always ask for signs. I went to a large group event close to home and it was interesting and fun for those who got read. Thomas was funny and engaging and apparently accurate according to those that were read (and those that got read clearly needed messages more than I did so I'm not complaining at all) But I wanted more. Before I booked for a small group reading I was debating whether to spend the money, going back and forth. I can't remember where I read it or heard it but Thomas' dad has passed away and he basically worded how I feel about my mom but no one ever "got" what I meant when I would say it. My mom isn't dead but we aren't speaking. People ask what happens if she dies and if I can handle that happening without a reconciliation. I basically have said that I won't mourn my mom actually dying but I will cry and mourn the mother I didn't get to have. He somehow worded that (of course i can't find where I read it or maybe I heard it. No idea. Hopefully I didn't just dream it lol) Anyway that was my sign. One of my good friends was very ill around this time and the timing wasn't great but I decided to book a spot for a small group reading on Aug 30. I remember the date because my friend happened to pass 4 days earlier on Aug 26. The group was small and a lot of times I thought a message could have been for me the lady next to me suddenly had a Niece's cousin's cleaning lady with that name. It was humorous and likely exhausting for Thomas but he delivered and handled the ... superfan... I wasn't expecting a message from my friend, assuming she's busy getting used to being dead and all... but he hit right on her death and provided info that wasn't readily available to pretty much anyone except me and in the process gave me some closure to the death of one of my dogs as well. I left happy I had the experience and grateful for the messages. I told a good friend and she wanted to go to a group so we booked another. This was a way better group and location and leads to my 5 star review. Thomas gave my friend a lot of closure and messages from her family. He knew they were not from the USA but was able to confirm their names (which were not anything I'd ever heard of!) and nicknames regardless. Information about situations never on social media of any kind. I already knew he was for real but it's always nice to be amazed and solid in my opinion. He gave he such a wonderful gift to her with these messages. Also, we were able to connect with our friend and once again he was able to confirm something we suspected but never publicly spoke about. She was sending us dragonflies. We received amazing information that I'd rather keep to myself than share with the free world. But it was perfect. I don't know what answers I'm looking for exactly but I feel a little more complete after these readings and I feel very grateful that Thomas graciously shares his gift with people. Being in groups of people who are really desperately looking for closure has put my own needs in perspective as well and has given me a little more empathy for strangers. I think when you experience raw sorrow and joy at the exact same time which is pretty much the way people seem to react to messages from deceased loved ones (in my opinion) you gain a little more understanding you may not have received otherwise. I think when the world is trying to bury you alive it's useful to experience a group like this to give you a little distance from people who don't get it and a little empathy from strangers who are looking for the same relief you are. I am, by nature, a total skeptic about anything related to psychics, tarot, etc. I have a close friend who has been seeing Thomas for a while and who has been pestering me to go...and I finally did. I have never had much faith in pyschics, but my aunt, a big believer, convinced me to give it a shot, and I am glad that I did. I suppose it is possible, as some people say, that some of his readings could be determined from a simple google search, but I was truly surprised at how much he was able to tell me about myself and my loved ones. He spoke of my deceased grandather, whose last name differs from mine and who there isn't much record of in English. Thomas John is good at what he does but you don't get what you pay for. Like many others on here- I paid for a 15min phone reading over a year ago- was rescheduled "due to issues" SIX times. Again, like others, I requested a refund, and Thomas wrote me back and said he would give me a refund and asked for my PayPal account info. This was provided to his office, and I never received a refund. I asked about it multiple times, and they stopped responding. I chalked it up to a bad experience and moved on only to be surprised several months later when I was emailed again saying my appointment was being rescheduled even though I never rescheduled anything. I was asked if I wanted to do an email reading instead, to which I agreed, and submitted my questions. I was told it would be 30 days to get a response. I waited two months, and then contacted his office and was told they would look into it, and then was told he was having family issues and wasn't responding. I'm not sure if this is Thomas specifically or his office that is having issues, but I would highly recommend not buying anything from them, you will not get what you paid for, and you will not get your money back. I suspect someone will start some form of legal action at some point if it is happening to this many people. read more

TJ and his sister run this "show". Not sure who's scamming more, but they both unprofessional and often dissmisal/rude to their customers. Definitely do NOT purchase readings with him. Group zoom classes get usualy rescheduled multiple times, but they DO eventually happen. I had a reading for year in advance and had to wait for over a year. It was constantly canceled/rescheduled, also time was communicated from two different assistants and they were communicating to me two different times. This happened to me multiple times. AGAIN I got a new date/time, and it was changed at the last minute, to which I replied can't do due to work and this last minute notice. No response. TJ called me anyway, while I was STILL at work, and he said he will call me back. He never called back. No response, despite me emailing the "customer service" multiple times. I send text message to the number TJ called me from while I was at work (turns out it's his private cell phone! +1 917 745 2518), and he then called his office and they called me right away with a new date/time. Thomas John is a conman! DO NOT FALL FOR HIS SHAM!! Don't get me wrong, I do believe that there are people out there that have the gift of being able to speak with loved ones that have passed. HE IS NOT ONE OF THEM. I paid for 30 minute, in person, session. As in previous reviews, it was cancelled and I was offered a Zoom meeting on the same day and time, or an in person session in November of 2023. A red flag had gone up previous to the cancellation as I had reached out twice for confirmation of the location of the session with no response. When the session was cancelled I declined both options and requested a refund. The next day I received and e-mail from them stating that a refund had been issued to my credit card. When the credit had not shown up within three days, I opened a dispute with my CC company. Their dispute department had it resolved within 48 hours and I had my refund. Had I not paid with a CC I would have been out a hefty sum. He, and whoever assists him, are scam artists and take advantage of those wanting to connect with those that passed. I will be spreading the word about this this shameful, awful thief every chance I get. read more

BEWARE ! SCAMMER ! I first saw him in a group setting in October. Didn't receive any information that was relevant to me. I just thought that maybe others there that day were in more need of a reading and I just left it at that. I started receiving emails from Thomas John almost daily. So I figured to buy a personal reading and see what he had to say to me. I purchased this reading with him in September of 2017. It was a promotional reading for $200. I had to wait till March 9th 2018 for my reading to finally arrive. I sat and waited, never received a call. So bye bye money. Meanwhile in November of 2017, I also purchased a calendar from him for $95 . Again, email offer. Was supposed to be delivered before January 15th. It's now nearly the end of March and have yet to receive anything. They will bombard you with emails for readings, ... and will gladly take your money , but you will receive absolutely NOTHING. So unless you like to contribute your hard earned money to this number one scammer, I would say stay far away! I emailed them to receive a refund, but as you can guess, no answer there either. The phone number attached to the credit card transaction is no longer in service. I would give minus 5* if I could. Lesson learned, please don't make the same mistake. read more

I went to see Thomas last night at the "A Night with Spirit" event here in Portland, OR at the Hotel Monaco. The purpose of the event was Mediumship readings. It was a fun group reading; he was able to bring up a lot of accurate information for many of the people in the audience. I was surprised to be read because I haven't known that many people that have passed away, but he brought through the one person that I know that has passed away. There is no way he could have received this information other than through his gifts. I also did not talk to anyone else in the audience before the reading began. As an intuitive reader myself, I appreciated his level of professionalism in explaining how the readings work, as well as going through the audience conducting the readings he was able to make everyone feel comfortable and open up to receiving the messages. I recommend getting a reading from Thomas whether you are open-minded or skeptical, but definitely realize that the more open-minded you are, the more accurate the reading will be. Don't expect to get an amazing reading if you are doubting the reader the whole time. Hello all. Yesterday I walked in a 100 % believer and left 75% sceptic (and I so wanted to believe) until I arrived home. Once I arrived home and looked on line and read the obituary, the only thing I was hanging on to was right there in my face - along with further validation of the mistakes he made. Bam, 100% no credibility! I am so disappointed in this false reading. Yes there were lots of details, but all were obvious and very public knowledge-most hand plucked from a poorly written obituary that I mostly wrote. While I actually expect a medium to do research, I am really surprised he misread/misunderstood the obituary and made several obvious mistakes based on his wrong assumptions which became so evident when I took another look. Although the details he shared put on a nice show for all, he did not bring anything new to my reading except his misunderstood assumptions, he also completely missed the personality traits for each person. OMGosh I truly believe that there are intuitive, mediums and psychics - Thomas John is not the one. Had my people been there in spirit, they would have made darn sure that at least one of the hundreds, really hundreds, of things that could have come out for validation, at least something would have come through. I purchased tickets to see Thomas John in Chicago this year after I started following him on both Instagram and Facebook. I have not received a reading, however he seems to genuinely care and still does personal readings for people on his website and randomly on social media. I love how he continues to stay connected with his followers and continue to help heal people even after his success. Other mediums once they have achieved success no longer do personal readings. Purchased a group reading to be done in January 2020. 2 weeks prior I had to e-mail them because the location had not been disclosed. Tracy e-mails me back and says oh, I was just going to send out an e-mail that the event has to be rescheduled for April 2020. I was already skeptical and I could not make the April event, so I requested a refund...still have not been refunded. It appears the only way to get a refund is to file a complaint with BBB. And reading the complaints on there, this appears to be common practice...rescheduling and not refunding people's hard earned money. read more

While I have no doubt that Thomas is a great medium, I am 100%certain that is a scammer. He advertises and offers sessions phone/email to clients with no intention of ever honoring them, it is only a way to take your money and then spend the next two years rescheduling, rescheduling until they just stop reaching out. What is absolutely sad is that most people that are reaching out to Thomas are grieving and are desperately trying to connect to their loved ones in order to obtain closure. Thomas and his team take advantage of that situation to make themselves rich. Unless you are willing to pay thousands of dollars for a reading, they have no intention of honoring it. So if you are thinking that for a couple of hundred you can get a 15 min reading and that would be enough to get closure, please please please save your money. I had a small group reading in NYC March 2018. TJ had his eyes closed the whole time and his hand up against his ear. He went around the room randomly, saying one-liners but never really got into a whole reading with one person except for the lady sitting next to me who clearly was very wealthy. He said things to me that he clearly found on my FB page. I think I paid over $300 for this intimate group so that it is a lot of money for information from my FB page. I left feeling satisfied but when I started to really think it WAS all from my FB page, too much detail. I have had a reading before from another very famous medium and he was the real deal. Now this TJ has his own show on TV? If you do have a reading close your FB page or make it so private nobody but friends can see anything about you or your family. Not just general information, but details or specifics that couldn't be guessed. BUYER BEWARE! I purchased a promotional phone reading in October of 2017 and scheduled my 15-minute phone reading. That phone reading was canceled and rescheduled MULTIPLE times. Let's fast forward to August 2019. I had yet to received the service I paid for almost 2 years prior, and sure enough I received another email to reschedule. After reading some of the reviews on here, it seems like this occurs frequently, however I am constantly seeing emails advertising phone readings to be scheduled within 6-12 months. One of my friends actually told me about this Thomas John guy. After hearing her recommendation, I set up an appointment to have a reading while in NYC during NYCC earlier this month. And, I was not disappointed. If you google my name, you don't find much. But, somehow, John NAILED a lot about me that isn't really subjective. He actually made me cry after contacting my uncle who died in a motorcycle accident when I was a kid. He was talking about how my uncle taught my to properly box/throw a proper punch, something that I've only ever share with my wife (you won't find that on Google). He also told me my uncle said that his saddest memory of me was when he watched me break down and cry after my dog died when I was 8 years old. More importantly, though, he gave me closure about my uncle's death. His death is something that has greatly affected me in my life, and I left John's office knowing his death wasn't anyone's fault but his own. I was greatly skeptical, but the skepticism was squashed after his first words, which brought my guard down. I will say that Johns doesn't look the part (you know, how some people just LOOK like they should be a cop or LOOK like they should be a doctor), but other than that, it was an overall good experience. There's just no way he can make this stuff up out of thin air or find it on the internet. I highly recommend checking this guy out if you have a free weekend. No stars...Paid $200 1 year and a month ago for an hour long session with Thomas John..Four cancellations later in August I get an email that reschedules me for the 5th time in December. When I emailed back and said I had enough and my service wasn't delivered and I I want a refund,I was told sorry no refunds. Well guess what..It's December and of course I got an email cancelling for the 5th time and placing me into February 2023. That would make it a solid year and a half since I paid $200..in the meantime over the time he's had my money I see on Facebook that he's vacationing on islands I wish I could go to. On top of that i get daily emails from him inviting me to meet him for personal readings in cities all over the country. Wouldn't it make far more sense to face the obligation and responsibility you have to someone that's booked and paid you before you travel to other cities and then have the audacity to re solicit me constantly by email..shame on you. I suppose I will have to take action I really didn't want to..i could never trust someone with an intimate reading who has done what you have.Truth!
