To whom it may concern: To preface: I have an immense amount of respect for the craft and for legitimate readers/ interpreters/ messengers. I have hesitated to write this review for many reasons; one of them being that Drew used an unsettling but clever tactic of texting me, in response to my appointment inquiry, with smiley, heart, crystal ball, prayer, and hug emojis. I drank the cool-aid. In theory, those emojis are warm, sweet, and cute, but in the context of setting up an appointment for a professional service, the use of any emoji, in general, is unprofessional and strange -- to be frank. I had a gut feeling to think twice about moving forward, but I moved forward because I saw the 5 star Yelp rating and I let it cloud my vision. I spent $250 for a 30 minute session -- over 3 times as much as I have ever paid for a 30 minute session with anyone, also because of the number of 5 star reviews I saw on Yelp. Again, I drank the cool-aid. When my appointment date finally arrived, I met with Drew at his apartment. I sat down in his reading room full of nick-nacks, a cat, and other psychic paraphernalia. The apartment location, building, and home/ office itself was not what I was expecting to find for a business that is "high in demand" and charges $250 for a 30 min. service that requires the use of a notebook and one employee, that employee being Drew Mcclain. I was expecting something a little more high-brow. Instead the space was homely and located North of Harlem in old building. When the reading started, he alerted me that he read by receiving messages from Spirit that he then wrote down on his notepad. I nodded and let him talk about my career, education, and state of mind. He picked up, I think as anyone would have in that moment, that I wasn't in the highest of spirits. He very loosely discussed my career and asked me things like if I was happy with where I was going. I answered him and only then did he write things down with a vague word on his notepad and display it for me to read connecting the word to my situation. It was so strange that I caught myself looking perplexedly at him and wondering whether or not he thought I was buying it. I spoke very little during the reading and watched him flip very few tarot cards over that he only explained interpretations after asking me and hearing from me about the subject at hand. At one point, he wrote something down, asked me a question, then upon hearing my answer tore out and crumbled up the piece of paper he had written on in his notebook. At another point, while discussing my employment, he gave me a time frame of about 9 month and asked me if it was significant. I said no, not at all. He fought me on it and asked me many times to think of how 9 could fit into my employment life and I came up with things that only added up to 5, 6, and 7 months. He said he thought I was wrong and then said, "but that is close enough." I was appalled. Towards the end of my reading, I asked if I could name a person and hear from him what messages Spirit was sending on that topic. He then said something along the lines of, "this is what your whole reading is about. Im getting the message that this is why you made the appointment. I thought to myself, "Obviously! Anyone could have told me that based on the fact that that was the only question I have asked thus far ..." He told me that I was never going to see that person again. I was devastated and ended up in tears. I wanted to hear the truth about whatever he was picking up on but the entire session was filled with doubt, unease, and misery that I became lost in the distress. He asked me to hold my hands and I obliged because I thought it was a part of his ability to read or receive messages. I was wrong, he held my hands in front of him and over the table that was separating us to tell me that he was my family and that he was there to support me through my difficult time through future readings. As I was getting up to leave, he told me about his special FREE 20 minute reading to clients that write a positive review about their experience on Yelp. It all clicked. That is how he gets his 5 star rating! He manipulates people with his heart emoji texting, best friend/ family routine, reinforces seeing them for future readings to help them through their problems, writes his "messages" from spirit AFTER he collects enough information from a client about their life, then offers FREE 20 minute readings in exchange for a positive review on Yelp! Upon walking out of his apartment door, still completely hearbroken that Drew said I would never see this person again in my life, I asked him one more time, "Are you sure? Will I ever see this person again, even randomly in the street for a moment? We live close to each other." He said, "No honey, never ever again or under any circumstance. I ran into the person one month later and have continually seen and spoken with them since. read more

(Updated review) I definitely do think Drew has a gift, and I very much appreciate that his readings are not vague/generic and that he doesn't pull anything gimmicky such as trying to sell you crystals or telling you that you have bad energy that can be purified for $900. Drew is super sweet, warm, and welcoming - you can really tell that he genuinely loves doing what he does and helping people. He was incredibly easy to talk to, and he won't just tell you what you want to hear, but what you NEED to hear. If you're doing an in-person session, bring something that you have a long connection with, eg. I brought a ring I wear every day. Also, Drew encourages you to record your session, so make sure you have room on your phone. I'm not sure if my energy is just kind of "off" (or was off at the time of my appointment?) or if free will since my reading has just been incredibly active and derailed my life, but it's been about 3 months since my reading with Drew, and the accuracy has been kinda 50-50. + Drew was able to predict with accuracy the first letter of the name of someone I was involved with, how we had met, and the length of time we had known each other. He was also pretty spot-on with this person's personality traits. I had mentioned the job title (C-Suite) early on though, so it might not have been a major jump to conclude that his job is his life (also, it's NYC). But still, spot-on description of said person. Drew accurately said above-mentioned person would prove how disappointing they would be in the next 2-3 weeks. Drew picked up that I had initially gone one direction career-wise that I had been thinking about going towards again. He was also accurate about my feelings towards my professional life. Drew picked up that I had mixed feelings about children and that I think I'll never find the "right one" for me. - Drew had felt that my feelings for someone were a lot stronger than they actually were. Although I had known (texted) them for months, we had only met for the first time about 2 weeks prior to my appointment with Drew, which is way too early for me to develop anything close to serious feelings, and certainly not love. It's possible that he picking up on my giddiness/excitement of when you go on a fun first date with someone? Unclear why it came across much deeper than it actually was. Drew said this person could throw me for a tailspin/hurt me - though I have to be fair with this one, as Drew's reading allowed me to purposefully make the decision to distance myself from this person. Drew had said that my current job would be stable - everything that's happened recently has indicated unfortunately contradictory to that, and I'm definitely in a rather precarious situation job-wise at the moment. In terms of my personal life, some of the predictions I think might not have had time to manifest, so I can't comment on those yet. I, like many, had consulted with several mediums before. Many were "in the area" of giving me info on my past,present and future, but the info I got from Drew was nothing short of amazing! Without a doubt, Drew is the real deal. I booked a 1 hour appointment with Drew asking for a combination medium and psychic reading session. I was nervous when I walked in, he hugged me and I felt immediately at ease. As Drew instructed, I brought a personal item of the person who died that I wanted to connect with. I also had in my back pocket a list of questions on a sheet of paper which he told me not to show him. I handed over the personal item to Drew, and after he held it for a bit he told me he connected with my father. I said how do I know it is him? I met with Drew to discuss my business, as well as ask some general questions about my life. He told me things about myself and my family that completely blew me away. I'm not sure who needs to hear this, but if you've ever had any doubts about someone you're dating, a partner, etc... Drew will keep it 100 and give you the straight facts, even if you don't want to hear them. Long story short, my girlfriend (now ex-girlfriend), who was so sexy, beautiful, loving, caring and thoughtful, turned out to be one of the biggest shakedown artists, scam artists, liars, and frauds I've ever met.  I was completely blinded by her beauty.  My friends loved her, thought she was one of the most sexy, beautiful girls they'd ever seen.  They envied me, wishing they could find a girl as beautiful and sexy as her.  Well, as sexy as she was on the outside, she was completely ugly and evil on the inside. I do not usually write reviews, but every once in a while you run into someone absolutely amazing who needs to be recognized for his incredible talents. All I can say is that Drew is brilliant! My friend dragged me to a couple of readers/psychics/mediums and they were interesting but disappointing, so when she suggested Drew (who came highly recommended from her friend) I was skeptical. I went in with a "bad" attitude and determined to trick him. All I can say is oh boy! From the moment he met me it was like he knew everything about me. The really neat thing about Drew is that he does not let you say anything except your name. If you try to add any details he hushes you into silence. This was one of the things that turned me from a skeptic into a believer. Drew knew things I had not shared with anyone. He knew things about my life that only my closest friends would know. I first met Drew in February 2015, & will have my 4th appointment with him this week. He has an outstanding gift that my rational little person can't explain. I wanted to wait before writing Drew a review. I planned to wait maybe two more years actually as I am someone who thinks and plan very long term. But the bad reviews that appeared lately are upsetting me. Here's an example of his ability: Drew announced me before I even found out myself (Months before) that my father had passed away (I haven't seen my father in years). I had to eventually google some key word, city, family relative, etc.. To discover that yes, indeed, my father had passed away in 2013 just like he predicted. My father was only 64. Every reading are always consistent with the previous one, the predictions remain the same or get better as I put more work into what I believe matters for the future. I contacted him each time changing my name, my phone number, my email, my PayPal account. I had my reading both in person and via Skype. I use to be very skeptical, and a flat atheist. I still can't explain my self to this day how I decided to meet Drew. It was out of my character, but maybe like so many, I had hit rock bottom and was ready to try anything. What a wonderful person. But Drew is not god, he is purely an outstanding medium/psychic and you; YOU HAVE FREE WILL. Once you have been made aware of a potential event, possible difficulties or opportunity coming up you do have the power to change it, to make the most of it. I just finished my first session with Drew and loved every minute of it. I highly recommend the investment! Finding an honest and authentic psychic can be a wearisome undertaking. It's not impossible, but you could waste a considerable amount of money searching. Many will ask you questions, then tell you what you already know, be way off and take your money. Well, I am excited to say my pursuit for a true psychic-medium has ended. I recently had the pleasure of meeting Drew McClain and I will consider him my go-to psychic from this day forward. I originally reached out to Drew via text message and was happy to have received a reply within 48 hours. In my opinion, that is an acceptable response time. Fast forward, we set a date and Drew stressed not sharing any information beforehand. When I arrived at his apartment, I found him to be warm and welcoming as if we were already acquainted. The room where the reading was taking place had a bright aura and good energy with an eclectic array of antiques and conversation inspiring collectables. I just had a reading with Drew today and it absolutely blew me away! First of all, Drew is an extremely warm, kind, empathetic and wonderful human being. I love the energy of his purple-hued reading room as well. I was simply AMAZED by what he told me. He connected me with my Mom and told me aspects about her passing that there is no way he could have known--for instance, when she died, I felt her energy pass into my body. Drew is rare among people who call themselves "psychics", because -he actually is psychic. I think about 1 in 1000 are real, and I'm blessed that I found him. I've been going to a family friend who is a psychic for about 20 years. (She doesn't take new clients nor speak English, so I can't recommend her here). This summer I needed her but she was on an extended vacation. So I made reservations with 6 of the top ranked psychics on yelp (I was desperate and figured I need a back-up) and Drew was the ONLY one who was great. Two were complete frauds and three just asked a lot of questions and gave "common sense" advice. Drew starts with a general reading without asking any questions. After about 10 min or so, you can ask specific questions of him. He is specific with initials, names and dates. He gives advice which is not common sense advice that anyone would give -it is based on his reading. He predicted things about my job, specific names of colleagues, knew I have a home in another country and trying to make a purchase (this is not online at all), and predicted how a difficult situation would turn out. He told me the opposite of what most people were advising -it was counter intuitive -and he was right. This was all in August. I went back to see him today. I was stressed about a transaction. He told me it would all be settled by "March 21". I left his home and literally saw a text from my realtor that certain actions will take place by March 21! This date came out of the blue and I was completely unaware it was coming. He is expensive but worth every penny. After being to several popular psychics in New York and Los Angeles I decided to give Drew a try back in beginning of 2015 and since then he has been my go to person. My first session with him was for half hour at his office in Orange County, CA in 2015. He started off reviewing my past several years, knew what I had been through. Without really asking he knew all my questions and answered each of them with great detail. Drew was my first experience with a medium, and I was not really sure what to expect going into the session. I'm pretty open minded, and was just interested to see what he had to say, but wasn't 100% sure how much I would believe. From the start, Drew was amazing. He was so personable and warm, very easy to talk to. He immediately jumped in and was able to accurately outline my life up until this point. He knew specifics about schooling milestones, my career, internal (not publicized) promotions/changes - information he couldn't have known. He was able to tell me specifics about past relationships, dates of breakups, first initials of names, locations involved etc. Again, information that is not publicly known or shown on social media AT ALL.
