I honestly have no idea how this place is getting such positive reviews? Are they manipulated or paid reviews?? My experience here was the complete opposite. It is very apparent they seek your insecurities, pry your insecurities, and use it against you for more readings that will cost you $500 on the next visit. I had paid $50 for palm readings (both hands), and I can honestly say this was the worst decision I have ever made in my life.
I stopped by Friday late afternoon July 22 on the way to my hotel. A younger girl (possibly Brook Stev*ns? That is who I venmo'd my money to) buzzed me into the office. She had me sit outside of the office in the tiny stairway, right next to a tattoo shop entrance, for a reading (also, what?) Everything that she had asked me was completely wrong. I had told her I had trauma from my childhood, and she inferred it was from my father. Nope. My dad was the hero of my childhood. I had then told her it was from a sibling. She proceeded to ask if the sibling was close to my father or mother. I replied mother, and she said, "yes, I knew it it was from your mother or father", as if the two dots connected. Hmmm okay.
I had briefly spoken about my partner, and how our relationship is going very well, and that I had insecurities in the relationship due to my upbringing. She was very, very quick to to call me uncommitted to the relationship, and that if I don't get these insecurities fixed by her, that my relationship will not end well. Thereafter, she was very quick to ask if I had money to pay for the future $500 readings, which I didn't. She was insistent that I find money to pay for the readings to fix my "insecurities", and to come back as often as I can. And to make phone call appointments if I couldn't come in person. She went as far as telling me to beg my partner for $500 to pay for the readings and to use my/any credit cards to pay.
She also insisted that I was bisexual, but I'm not. Ok.
She had me close my eyes the entire reading/session, which I couldn't help but think, why? She must be 'trying' to read my body language, or so that I don't catch her in her cracks.
I have a strong sense that people who come to her shop are in a deep state of depression or sadness and seek for self healing and reassurance. And she knows this and only exposes their insecurities for a demands of payment.
Unfortunately for this shop, I came here not looking to fix my problems, but for more clarity in my future. I am a very observant person and can generally read people very well (body language and just by conversation). I stopped by this place because I was curious about my future, not because I was seeking help.
This place obviously pries on the weak-minded for money. I can't help but feel so bad for customers who come here.
Am I still a believer in psychic reading? Absolutely. My family is a believer in spirits and the afterlife. I have been to readings where it was absolutely mind-blowing and so positive. As a matter of fact, I had done another reading just 2 days later, and it couldn't have been more positive and so up-lifting. There was no money hustling, not even a request for me to come back for another reading.
This establishment? Nothing more than scam artists who claim they are psychic, but do nothing more than read your body language, feed you insecurities, and heckle you for every penny and dime that you have. Please save your money, but more importantly yourselves, your mental well-being and your sanity from this place. Seek self-care somewhere more reputable, and not in the smack dab middle of times square. read more
