I am one of the fortunate, I was able to schedule an affordable session with medium Thomas John. I'd seen him on TV and was surprised I could get a zoom session with him late September. Other mediums had a year plus wait list. I received a text stating we could zoom next week. Yes we had some rescheduling due to unforeseen events but eventually locked in a date/time. I didn't know what to expect other than I wanted to see what loved ones came through. He was 99% spot on for the people my spouse knew. I was brought upstairs to a loft where he was sitting behind a desk. before I sat down, my perspective was of his drawer slightly open with a bunch of post it pads that had words already on them. in one instance he told me that I was thinking of moving and when I said I was, he scribbled on something in the drawer and then pulled out the post it pad that said west coast. he asked me how many siblings I had, and I replied 2. he pretended to scribble after asking me and then pulled out the pad that said 2. since I saw the post its with the writings, I knew this was a scam and called him on it. he immediately told me to leave, but I was able to let the people waiting on the sofa downstairs that they were about to get scammed. Was rescheduled 3 times, then cancelled on 20 minutes before the 4th scheduled time. Each time Thomas John says something came up, he's traveling, etc. then he goes on Tiktok live... This happened to me the first time I bought a reading & I told myself I wouldn't do it again because it's disappointing being ghosted, but here we are. I had a 1 hour reading scheduled for Feb 11th. It was moved to Feb 15th. I didn't receive a call, text, email, nothing until an hour after my scheduled reading time. Then it was moved to Feb 17th. Right before the reading, Thomas texts me saying he has to reschedule to the 18th, but maybe he can move someone else's reading that night. He stated he'd let me know in a few hours. I text a few hours later, & never heard back. The next morning the 18th I ask what time for a reading. He texts back giving a time. While he is on Tiktok live 20 mins before my reading, he texted me that something came up so he is refunding my money... Mind you there was also a gallery reading scheduled for what would have been right after my reading. He was able to do that no problem. I would not recommend booking a reading because the disappointment from when he cancels or ghosts you will overshadow any reading that you might get. Beware of This "Medium" - Unprofessional and Unethical! I'm sharing this on behalf of my friend, who had an incredibly disappointing and upsetting experience with this so-called "medium." She purchased a two-question reading and, after patiently waiting for a month, sent a polite follow-up email to ask about it. Instead of receiving a response with her reading (or at the very least an update on the delay), she was met with a shockingly rude reply. He told her that if she emailed again, she wouldn't get a refund OR the reading. Unbelievable! A month is already a long time to wait for such a simple service. But to be met with such hostility when all she wanted was an update? That's not just bad business--it's a complete lack of professionalism and compassion. Thomas John (Flanagan) has a pattern of not honoring his scheduled appointments. You are scheduled, cancelled, rescheduled, no shows and no calls, tried to be pushed off to someone he's trained, and when you've finally tired of this game and ask for a refund - well, that's a joke too. After more than a year of this, I asked for a refund. One of his staff advised that the refund would be mailed out by the end of the week that I called. Nothing was received. Thomas John said he mailed me a refund on 5/21 and I would have it by the following Tuesday. Nothing was received. When that wasn't received, Thomas John said he put the refund in the mail personally on 5/26. Nothing was received. On 6/1, Thomas John contacted me and mistakenly used the name Troy. When confronted about me not being the only one with this issue and promises of a refund, Thomas John accused me of being rude and refused to provide my refund. He further told me that he was going to turn this over to his attorney, but despite multiple emails he does not provide the attorney's name or contact information. Please do your research. Thomas John Flanagan has a history of scamming people for money, criminally charged with deceptive fraud in Illinois for bilking potential tenants for non-existent apartments (see Wikipedia or just google him) and he was found guilty of theft. Facebook pages exist that document the difficulties dealing with him (Scammed by Thomas John and others). Exposes have been written about this man and scams. It's been investigated and reported in the New York Times. Check out the Skeptical Inquirer, Reddit, TripAdvisor and the list goes on and on. I had a Zoom meeting with Thomas John last night. I really left my reading with positive thoughts regarding my parents who have passed in 2017. Thomas was spot on with many thing. I left feeling that my parents are together in a good place. I have shared the Zoom meeting with several of my family members and they are amazed. This dude is a total fraud. After booking an appointment for my fiancé, he didn't call. So I emailed asking for a refund and asking if this was a scam. Within minutes, my fiancé received a voice message from him via text saying he was running late and that "other people weren't ready for their readings on time. But he would call in about 20 minutes." An hour later my fiancé finally texted him letting him know that this kind of waiting was cruel and asked if it was a scam. Well wouldn't you know it, he called her almost immediately. He told her that their "energy was wrong" (not sure how he knows this before calling or if it was just his excuse for never calling) and he was refunding the money (we'll see if he actually does), but not before telling her that she was rude for even asking. They hung up and she pointed out that it was a bitch move on his part. He decided to then suggest she see a therapist. Some people clearly can't handle the criticism. Wow! I feel like such an idiot for not doing my due diligence and researching Thomas John before booking an EXPENSIVE spiritual circle. I'm usually much smarter than that! I purchased two spirit circle tickets @ $500 each at the end of August for an October 2 reading date. Shortly after purchasing, I started researching a little bit about Thomas and came across the plethora of negative comments on Yelp, BBB about how he never actually holds the sessions and keeps pushing out the dates. I contacted my CC company right away and told them that I thought I had been scammed but we had to wait and see if he actually followed through with any kind of scheduled event. At this point, I was kind of hoping that he would cancel so that I could then file a claim with my credit card company, because the more I read, the more I realized what a fraud he is! A week before the event, I reached out via email because I had never received any information about where this event was going to be held. When I asked for confirmation of the location, the reply was "we actually are securing the venue with documents this week and will let you know". Strange! The event is a week away and you don't know where you are holding it? Everything told me intuitively that he would not be following through. Sure enough, 3 days later I received a call from an unknown number. So I used Google screen call service and the message is posted here. It was a lot more long-winded than this, but essentially Thomas's assistant Bradley Graham was calling me to say that the event had to be pushed out by two weeks due to scheduling issues. Relief, as I now had reason to get my money back! I immediately emailed and said the 16th doesn't work for me and I would like a refund processed ASAP. Bradley finished the call with "if you have any questions please don't hesitate to call". Yes Bradley, I do have more questions.....so I called. He picked up and when I told him who I was he said, "you were on my list to call next. Does that make any sense? Also When I looked at his upcoming scheduled events., he actually has a large event in Dallas Texas on the 16th. So how can he be in Huntington Beach and Texas at the same time?" "Oh yes" said Bradley. "That Dallas event is cancelled and has to be postponed. It is currently being rescheduled." When I told him that nothing on the website says that it's canceled and you can actually go and buy a ticket for it right now, he said that he was confused and that is not part of his job. I see on his webpage now Dallas is now on the 20th and the HB reading on the 16th no longer exists. What an exhausting life to keep all of these dates straight, constantly changing and rescheduling! I could go into more detail, but at the end of the day, TJ did immediately refund my money to my CC and it just went through. Bradley originally told me that he would refer my name to Carla, who does the refunds and that they would send me a check in the mail. When I told him that I paid via credit card and they can just refund my original form of payment, Thomas John himself called me and texted me and emailed me to say that he would love to refund my money but he needed to speak to me first to get another piece of information regarding my credit card refund.
