Dr. Vince explained everything they were doing, and Christian gave me a stress ball for my first procedure. They were patient, reassuring, and generous, even making time for an emergency appointment before I had to move out of the area! I've recommended Moonflower to three of my coworkers, best friend, boyfriend, and would recommend to anyone else. Always friendly, always clean, always fun! Plus, Denali loves them too! We sought a second opinion for my daughter after being presented with an extensive treatment plan that another dentist later confirmed was largely unnecessary. Recommending excessive dental work for a child is concerning enough, but when I asked questions and expressed concerns, I was met with defensiveness instead of transparency and reassurance. What made the situation even more frustrating was dealing with their director of operations. I had to request my daughter's records multiple times over an extended period, and they were only finally released after I mentioned filing a complaint with the dental board. No parent should have to fight that hard just to access their child's medical records. Since then, we've started seeing a new dentist and have been very happy with our experience. The difference in communication, honesty, and overall care has been night and day. I appreciate the friendliness of the front office staff, but professionalism, integrity, and patient trust matter far more. Unfortunately, this experience left me questioning the ethics of the practice.

We're only here another month and they got me in IMMEDIATELY for new patient X-rays and eval. I knew I needed some work done and have been able to make all 3 appointments before leaving. The staff are all incredible. They address you by first name when you walk in the door when I had been there only once before. Everyone I have come into contact with at the office has gone above and beyond to help out. I always have a million questions about what they are doing or using and they gladly explain everything to me. If you need work done, the front desk will give you the exact price of what to expect instead of the run around. They also do her best to get you the best price possible and is very knowledgeable about insurance and what tricare will cover. I even got a personal phone call from Dr. James himself a few hours after my last appointment to make sure my pain was under control. It will be an additional visit to complete work, though Dr. Lehr did ask if this would work for my schedule. I went to Lalinde's office in Pacific Grove wanting a night guard for teeth grinding, and also because I was concerned about a lower molar I'd had a root canal on that I thought might have a problem. Lalinde insisted that she do a full set of xrays (intra-oral full mouth images) and a teeth cleaning. I did both as she requested. She said based on the xrays and exam she did, that I had no cavities or infections, there was no problem with the lower root canal molar and it did not need to be removed. I got a second opinion from a biocompatible DDS, and he said that the lower root canal molar needed to come out. I had a highly qualified and capable oral surgeon remove the root canal molar - and turns out it was cracked in several pieces with a big hole underneath it and an abscess. Leaving an abscess untreated can eventually possibly result in serious health complications that can lead to death.. When I went back to Lalinde and told her, she did not appear embarrassed or regretful at all, apologize to any degree, let alone take any responsibility for telling me I didn't need to remove a molar that very clearly did need removing. That's seemingly quite something to brush off as if it was nothing. The she stated that in order for her to continue treating me, I had to give permission for her to be my dentist of record. Why would I want her to be after that? Maybe you'll have confidence in her - I no longer could, and am unable to recommend.

Our youngest daughter was told she needed a root canal and the first time we were referred to the pediatric orthodontist they immediately told us that was for sure not the case. Then a 2nd time we were told she definitely needed a root canal "because we waited too long to take care of the tooth's issue" they wanted to refer us to a different pediatric orthodontist, at which point I insisted we see the same one (the most experienced in our area) Bayless didn't want to send us back there and now it's crystal clear why. His inexperience caused our 13 year old 4 unnecessary Dr visits. We moved to a DDS who immediately fixed the issue in her own practice. This could have been resolved months prior. We also btw had to pay for each referral appointment in the tune of several hundred dollars. Not great care = not great customer service = the reason why we left their practice.
