The Dentist then proceeds to look at my teeth and tells me i need to reschedule because she "doesn't do dental cleanings". So I do reschedule and that was all fine. I then go to book my next cleaning about 6 months later, the same thing yet again, they tell me the dental hygienist wasn't there and that they didn't even put me down for a cleaning... That was the last straw and took my business elsewhere just for 2 years later to receive a bill from them (Lake Houston) for x rays they never submitted to insurance and now have created a past due account on my credit. They are slow, badly run, and simply incompetent. Bad business, do not get your teeth checked, cleaned or merely step in vicinity of the area just trash!

Shauntel was wonderful over the phone, answering all my questions and promptly booking me an appointment. She was there at the office to greet me along with the other office girl Liset, who was super welcoming. I had Jatera as my dental assistant - she was very bubbly and friendly and made the whole process instantly less nerve-wracking (after all, being at the dentist isn't exactly the most fun). Dr. Mai then came in for my teeth cleaning - she was as sweet as can be, and super thorough while still being mindful of my comfort (whatever numbing stuff they use is a game changer!). She was extremely competent - Dr. Mai diagnosed and fixed an issue with an abrasion on my tooth that had been causing me discomfort for over a year before I even had to mention it to her! I was very impressed. I had to make a secondary appointment to fill in a nasty cavity, but it was every bit as pleasant as my first appointment - they were able to get me in the very next week, and my dental assistant that day, Summer, was very kind - we chatted about our shared bookworm tendencies and she even gave me some reading recommendations. I was once again in the care of Dr. Mai for my filling, and she was awesome once again. If you're looking for a great dentist, this is the place. I cannot recommend them enough!!

I've been going to see Dr. Burke since he first came to this office in 2003ish, and I always enjoy…read moregoing back to see him and his staff. Everyone in the office knows me by name, and I know I'm getting the best care I can get for my teeth. One of the reasons I specifically like Dr. Burke is that he's not filling-and-procedure-happy: whereas some dentists would rather take your money and fix the slightest imperfection in your tooth with a crown, etc., Dr. Burke would much rather see you keep your own teeth for as long as you reasonably can, employing preventative maintenance techniques to keep your mouth as healthy as possible. Oh, and the timeless question: do the hygienists talk to you while their hands are in your mouth? Nah, they're really good about that. They're all very friendly without making you uncomfortable while cleaning. There are even televisions mounted to the ceiling to watch while during the appointment. I highly recommend this office.

Dr Burke, the hygienist and hygienist assistant could not have been nicer about my teeth. The environment is calming and soothing. It sounds oxymoronic, but it is a totally zen dentist experience. From check in to the end of my appointment, it felt more like a nice spa than a medical visit.
