I was in agonizing pain so when the doctor's response was "let's wait and see" what the tests say, I was a little disappointed. But she's the doctor. On Wednesday, around 10 PM, I started feeling horrendous. I sent another email late Wednesday, pleading for help. I had a thought about what my issue could be and asked her thoughts and help for symptom relief. Listen, ladies. We're not talking about a huge medical issue here. Just some standard GYN stuff. Her first response was via the patient portal Thursday noonish. She didn't even address my idea when she wrote back. She suggested the same over-the-counter recommendations she had at our appointment, which had not worked at all. She was not listening to me. She did not care about my level of discomfort. A quick call to my primary care and not only did she show empathy, she instantly recommended a medication that helped me immensely. It was like a no-brainer medical call for my PCP, who also does women's health.
