The entire team was great. I know I brought my baby into this world in the happiest way possible because of how amazing each person on the staff was. Even the resident doctor in training checking in on me. My nurse KIM is beyond amazing . The nurse tech Jen is amazing. Everyone is soooo great. I love the room. I feel so comforatable here. The food is just as good as some 5 star hotels. This birth center feels like a luxury newborn baby hotel, not a hospital. I am so happy w this experience. I thought I'd have to order delivery food , but this hospital food isn't your average hospital food. Every meal I've had here has been amazing . The chef is from the culinary institute. The amazing staff, the food, the kindness, the lovely room, really make this feel more like a birthing resort than a hospital lol. I Am so thankful for the professionals who worked to help bring my baby into this world!! And to the entire staff from the kitchen to the administrators , amazing experience . So happy . Now I'm pregnant, and I was sent to the Rhinebeck office for my first prenatal visit. I couldn't get an appointment in Kingston at all, even though it's much closer for me, and I had to wait a month for this visit as they only do two a day and were completely booked. So I finally walked into the office in Rhinebeck and was immediately greeted by a stack of paperwork with a Similac brochure right on top! Personally, I think it's reprehensible to greet a pregnant woman with advertising for formula on her very first prenatal visit. A women's health center should support breastfeeding as much as possible. If they're going to take money from Similac for handing out propaganda, then they should at least hand out a breastfeeding brochure along with it. So after waiting a month for this appointment, driving nearly an hour to get there, and sitting in the waiting room for about fifteen minutes, I'm called in by the nurse who tells me that my appointment has been cancelled because the obstetrician has been called away to a delivery. No apology. She tells me I can still do the "nurse visit" but not the "obstetrical visit," and when I ask her what each of those entails, she gets obviously annoyed (because everyone knows pregnant women are supposed to just do what they're told and not ask questions) and tells me she can prep me for blood work. When I ask what blood work she's talking about she gets even more annoyed. At this point I decided I didn't want to deal with the attitude any more, so I tell her I'll just reschedule and do the whole thing another time. She tells me to "just sit down" while she goes to talk to the obstetrician (yes, the one who's been called away so urgently that they couldn't have called to let me know and save me the hour's drive - she's still there in the office very busy not keeping her appointment with me). The nurse comes back and grants me permission to go to the front desk to reschedule. If you enjoy being treated like a human being I suggest you look elsewhere for prenatal care.

Not in the office. Not expected. Apparently, the office called me five weeks before my appt to reschedule; when my mailbox was full, they did not attempt to reach me again. Not even once. In five weeks. There was no apology. No remorse. No sympathy or explanation was offered. I had to ask all the questions and I got monosyllabic answers. I have no idea if Dr. Beer is a good doctor or not. The scheduling and patient care in her Rhinebeck office, however, is beyond dismal. Don't go here.
