Nobody bothered to explain to me exactly what actually happened, and what the consequences of this mistake would be, until the next day when I had to ask a nurse to get the doctor to come talk to me. When I went in for my 6 week follow up I saw a different OB who clearly hadn't even glanced at my chart and casually asked me if I had my tubes tied during the c section (which momentarily scared the shit out of me because I thought maybe he was reading that on my file). I was also never asked about my mental state or if I was having any postpartum depression, which I understand is common practice with other doctors (and actually, my baby's pediatrician asked me how I was feeling). All in all, I feel like this practice put me through quite an ordeal without any real support or patient care, especially postpartum.

Okay fine. However it was 2:10 when they finally called my name for my scheduled appointment at 1PM and I had to leave for work at 2:30. Anyways, when I spoke to the woman at the front desk I was told someone would be with me when they were ready but that an hour was a normal wait time. LOL. Why? The excuse was that they were double booked and only had four rooms available. However people who were present after me were called in before me. If they know they have two providers in and are double booking appointments they are setting themselves, and patients, up for failure. Book only for appointments you can accommodate. I don't know why that's rocket science. Not pleased. However my provider was much better. She was friendly and professional.

The doctor was in a rush when she saw me and didn't really explain what I was signing up for with nexplanon. When I changed my mind I was assured I would be put back on my old birth control. Guess who got lied to! I'm a Sunday start and they can't see me till THURSDAY. Even worse? They won't refill my birth control until I see them. 4 days late. They have fucked with my hormones so much. So many empty promises. I'm literally in tears writing this. I'm engaged and I've had to have an abortion before. With an ex. I can't afford a baby right now this is so irresponsible! They told me to "use condoms" I was using condoms when I got pregnant. Not refilling someone's BC so they can keep a regular period/hormone balance is so insane I'm in shock.
