Dr. Kelly Jennings is a resource like no other. I came to her in an absolute nose dive with (1) ill health from a severe case of endometriosis that I was having trouble managing and (2) complications with my post-op recovery as part of treatment for my endo. I had developed issues with my nervous system and an exaggerated startle response that was uncharacteristic and disorienting, severe mood swings with each hormone shift in my cycle, overwhelming anxiety, diminished mental faculties, attacks of fatigue where my legs would "power down" and lose function, and most difficult of all, chronic and relentless abdominal and pelvic pain.
I had used acupuncture before in an attempt to manage symptoms, and while it held some things at bay, overall it wasn't an effective enough treatment for my symptoms and circumstance. Because of this past experience with ineffective acupuncture, I was unsure what Dr. Jennings could do to help. And generally unclear if anything "out there" could help at all. However, she came highly recommended by a trusted friend. And, after learning that Dr. Jennings would be willing to take on a point position in my medical team, to which both MDs and other practitioners could report, and that she could orchestrate treatment, I decided to enter into three months of treatment to see if I could pull out of the nose dive.
Within a month I experienced dramatic improvements: the startle response subsided and strength of the mood swings diminished. Within three months even more: the pain stopped, the anxiety lifted, the fatigue lessened. And now, nine months later I am happy to report that with her progressive treatment plan, ability to coordinate with other care providers, extensive network of logistical resources, ability to work with me remotely when traveling, and her flexible multifaceted approach I was able to receive a type of overarching and effective care that I've never had before.
Having that type of care made all the difference in my recovery. And has made all the difference in my ability to better manage my illness going forward. I recommend her wholeheartedly. read more
