I've been coming here for over six years almost entirely because of the vegetarian breakfast tacos…read more They were one of my favorite breakfasts anywhere, loaded with avocado, sprouts, pickled onions, dill, pickled radish, egg, chipotle sauce, and so much flavor. I happily paid around $20 because they genuinely felt special. Today I ordered them like I always do, only to discover after leaving that they've completely changed. They're now just egg, cheese, and chorizo with pickled onions. No one mentioned that they were no longer vegetarian or that the recipe had changed so drastically. As someone who doesn't eat meat, I had no choice but to throw them away, so I ended up wasting $20 on a breakfast I couldn't even eat. I'm honestly really disappointed. I understand menus evolve, but when a longtime menu staple changes this much, especially from vegetarian to meat, it should be communicated clearly when ordering or at least noted prominently on the menu. Beyond that, the new version just doesn't justify the price anymore. It feels like a completely different product, and unfortunately not for the better. This isn't meant to be a harsh review because I've loved Ladder Coffee for years. These tacos were genuinely one of my favorite breakfasts in Spokane, which is why this was so disappointing. I just wish the change had been communicated. Going from a vegetarian taco loaded with fresh ingredients to a chorizo taco is a huge difference, and I would've ordered something else had I known. I hope you'll consider bringing the original version back or offering both options.

She doesn't have good energy, doesn't rlly interact what so ever and makes rlly awful drinks. I have never had someone mess up a matcha before it's powder and milk. My matcha was so bad I had to dump it out and throw away my money, I was drinking straight chunks of powder and it wasn't sweetened at all, I even tried to save it and fix it at home and it didn't help. It's just frustrating having bad customer service and bad drinks. Matcha is so simple GOODNESSS.

The White Dog on the South Hill consistently provides the worst experience of any location I've…read morevisited. Even when there is little to no line, it takes an unreasonable amount of time to receive a drink. Having 3-4 employees working at a time does not seem to make a difference in the speed of service. What's even more frustrating is the constant lack of ingredients for menu items. I regularly order the same bagel, and almost every time I'm told they don't have the ingredients to make it. This has been an ongoing issue, not a one-time occurrence. If a location is repeatedly unable to make certain menu items, those items should not be advertised as available. Customers should be able to expect reasonable wait times and that menu items can actually be ordered. Unfortunately, this location consistently falls short in both areas.

Management seems to be missing from the pasture, because the herd looks unhappy, untrained, and uninterested in customers. Most team members don't smile, don't ask for names, and avoid eye contact like it's a predator. Ordering coffee feels less like a friendly routine and more like wandering into a very quiet, very uncomfortable barn. Every once in a while, a kind cow appears and reminds me what Starbucks should feel like -- but that moment passes quickly. The rest of the time, the mood is gloomy, the energy is low, and even the customers stop smiling. Bad vibes spread faster than flies in summer. A Starbucks should be warm, welcoming, and human. This one feels joyless. Until leadership wakes up and brings some life back to the pasture, this cow will take her hooves elsewhere. Moo.

It was definitely a spot I could see myself coming back to for a quiet morning or a quick pick-me-up. The only thing that threw me off was the layout and aesthetic. It looked like there were other businesses, maybe real estate offices, tucked into the same space, and it made the flow feel a little confusing at first. Not a deal-breaker by any means, just not what I expected when walking into a coffee shop. Overall, really good coffee, great people, and a nice environment , just a slightly odd setup.
