The team coaches do an amazing job of balancing hard work with high expectations with fun! They have an incredibly encouraging environment. Progress over perfection all day long. They will absolutely work on the fine tune details, along with celebrating the small achievements. Something we love is that the girls are always up training along with working on their current level. It builds so much confidence for them to safely try skills in the next level and then get them competition ready (as opposed to just barely learning them needing them to be perfect quickly). Kids leave with a smile in their face and "do I have to go home I want to do more". The owners are incredibly straight up people. They value family. Theirs and yours. Family first, gymnastics second. Yes training is important but your family comes first. Their parent communication is extremely open and feedback is plentiful.

I had my child attend one class at NLGA and they immediately recommended her into the intermediate recreational class instead of the "beginners" class she was being held to. Within two years, one of which obstructed by COVID , my child became a state champion for SC and placed on the Silver SC State Representative Team at Regionals. The coaches at NLGA push their gymnast to be goal driven and strive to be their best through love and support!!! I, as a parent, could not ask for anything more!!!!

My only problem is : How can a sport facility that promotes gymnastics , exercise and health body can offer that kind of snacks for the kids?? That for me is absurd!!! I can only imagine is to make money but for me makes no sense at all. I see many kids eating MM''s, Pringle's, blue sugary beverage , coke and candy before and after school. I think even as an exemple and influence to the kids this shouldn't be allowed in a place like this. And how about instead lollipop before any holiday give something non sugary or junk food Related!? Perhaps is just my opinion but it's ridiculous to me. (They moved to 1080 Maxwell rd)

She is listening and learning at every class. A lot of times with toddlers classes you find around town they switch teachers and flip flop instructors, this is terrible when you have a shy child. Mr. Brandon and the staff here take their jobs seriously and are always present. The gym recently relocated to a building set back behind Smart Kids. The new gym is nice, clean and really big. The kids have a great little section with closed glass for the parents. They have a really large section for the older girls as well. We will definitely continue with classes here and help grow out daughters skills.

While the monthly cost at The Little Gym may be slightly higher, the overall experience is significantly better. My son is three years old, and like many children his age, listening is still a skill we're working on. I initially thought Perfect Balance would be a great place for him to develop new skills and improve focus. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. During one class, the instructor became visibly irritated when my son got distracted or didn't follow instructions. At the end of class, she had him line up with the other children to receive a stamp for participation. She even dipped the stamp in the ink pad, only to look him in the eye and tell him he wasn't getting a stamp because he hadn't listened. I understand the importance of teaching children accountability, but I strongly believe the instructor's approach was unnecessarily petty and inappropriate for a three-year-old. If she felt it was important for him not to receive a stamp, she could have spoken to me directly. I would have respected that. But having him go through the motions--only to publicly deny him a small reward--felt more like punishment than a teaching moment. Because of this experience, I ended our membership effective immediately. We will continue going to The Little Gym, where the instructors are patient, supportive, and understand that children--especially toddlers--have good and bad days. They work with him, not against him. One final thought for any parent considering Perfect Balance: my son also participates in Soccer Shots, where I regularly see other three-year-olds wander off, lose focus, or struggle to follow instructions. Yet, at the end of practice, those children still receive stamps and stickers--not because they performed perfectly, but because they showed up and tried. Why? Because they're three, they're still learning and that deserves encouragement, not shame.
