Told me all I needed to do was exercise more. Even after the recent CT Scan report noted that the fusion failed. He told me it did not fail and my pain was not real. Also told me if I go to 10 different Drs I was get 10 different answers. Then stormed out of the door. Thank God my husband was with me and he is my witness. Unbelievable. I saw him for a hammertoe on my L second left toe. He never fixed it!! He decided to rearrange my toes because he did not like the spacing between a couple of them even though they matched my other foot perfectly. He inserted a rod into my big toe and turned it inward to close a space between that and the hammertoe, then he moved the hammertoe closer to my third toe so closely that I can barely get a washcloth in there. He left my metatarsal bulging on the top surface of my foot and in doing so, a pocket formed under it that filled with puss that had to be cleaned out throughout the healing process. Then he put me on antibiotics because I was in great pain even though I have profound Peripheral Neuropathy (no Diabetes here) and proceeded to prescribe only 7 days at a time. The pain came back full force at the end of each stint because 7 days was not enough. I had to beg him to leave me on it for a longer period before it was finally cleared up. And AFTER ALL THIS, my hammertoe was NEVER FIXED because enough of the bone was eaten away by infection. He left me a HUGE Medicare bill which they paid thankfully, but he caused me great pain and anguish, I missed a planned visit to one of my sons prearranged in great detail, and now the hammertoe can NEVER BE FIXED because it was eaten away by infection and is now very reduced in size.

Dr. Aiken understands the mentality of runners, and is very conservative in his treatment. I had to have my first cortisone shot in over 20 years in my heel, and he was very calming and professional during the procedure, which can be painful. He was the ONLY podiatrist in 25 plus years that diagnosed me with a heel spur that had likely been present for decades. Great advice--again, he knows and understands athletes and he ALSO worked wonderfully well with my 89 year old Father In Law and his multiple issues with his feet/toenails. The office is run VERY efficiently with long term staff. Highly recommended!

My follow-up visit I was given a Cortisone shot without any anesthesia, which was painful, plus he cut my toenails so short that I could not wear shoes for over a week, had to wear open toe sandals. I therefore transferred to another podiatrist closer to where I live, and experienced much better results. Dr. Aiken may help some of his patients, but he did not help me!

I like to know the facts, what to do to heal, and be on my way. If I have questions, Dr. Torke is thorough with the answers - or finding answers. So far, I've been satisfied with my treatment in the past and now. The office staff is pleasant, helpful, and accommodating. If I have questions, they answer then or find someone with the answers.

They also provide free wifi so I can post a good Yelp review without having to chew up data (LOL)! Light music was playing in the background from one of the local radio stations (the "Dove"). That plus a nice receptionist (Sierra) certainly helped my anxiety. I came here because I smashed my right foot on a stair at my townhome. Fortunately I didn't break it but I did quite a number to the nail; partially torn from nail bed. Blech! Wound up seeing Dr Komarov this first go round. After introducing himself and looking at my issue, he had X-rays taken to be thorough. No broken bones; wee! He also trimmed my nails and clipped off the one part of my detached nail. He thought the rest was salvageable; he advised warm water and Epsom salts. He also advised to use a bandage for the rest of the week with triple antibiotic. Follow up in two weeks to see how it's coming along. He also looked at my other big nail; took a sample to send to the lab to check for infection. Meantime, back in two weeks for follow up. Kinda slow today; apparently he was the only doctor on duty this afternoon.
