Well, let me tell you how amazing Dr Herrmema is! I was in exchuating pain for over 2 years. I'm 67 yrs old active female. I had tried everything Massages( twice a week for months) Cortisone shots, Chiropractor visits.,heating pads & pain relief creams. Finally, seen Dr & Matt his PA..had total hip replacement in May 2024 walking next day no pain & used walker 2 days after that nothing to assist me. I didn't have PT . Well 3 months later I had the right hip replaced. No pain. Same exact results! I can move like I did in my 30's.. I was very active & lifted over 80lbs daily repeatedly to care for (handicap daughter). This was the best decision I've ever made...it has been life altering. He maybe a surgeon but he is overworked and showed me his mean side by injecting my knee without guidance which cause me more pain than ever. I believe that if he was not under so much pressure to get a required amount of surgery done in one day and he saw patients without being accountable for the quantity but was able to provide quality, he would be a much better doctor. I did appreciate the surgery but his abruptness on the last visit caused me to find another doctor. read more

Dr. Herrema replaced my right hip about 3 years ago. He was very knowledgeable and compassionate. Everything was excellent and I was so pleased. Well at that time after the original x-rays he had told me that the left hip was ok at that moment because it did have some cartilage still there and wasn't giving me any problems unlike the right hip with all the pain with was bone on bone. Though he did tell me that eventually in about 2-3 years I would most likely need to take care of the left one also, if it starts hurting bothering me. Well just as he predicted my left hip recently started acting up a few nights ago and yesterday so bad that I couldn't even walk without pain while I was at work. So I ended up going to Bay Care Urgent Care and they gave me a steroid injection to hold me over but they said I need to follow up with an Orthopedic Dr. & I know for a fact I wouldn't trust or go to any Orthopedic Dr. with my hip except D. Dr. Herrema did a total left knee replacement for me 2 1/2 weeks ago. Prior to the surgery, I was struggling to walk. Now I'm already walking around my neighborhood and can't wait to start gardening. He uses a computer aided surgical technique that certainly has made my recovery quick. There was not much swelling at all. I won't say it was painless, but it truly wasn't bad. I think he's a wonderful surgeon. And he's very handsome! I need another knee and a hip, and my husband needs two knees. We wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. read more

I saw his P.A. for a first visit. I was sure I would need a hip replacement. However, X-ray showed only minor arthritis. It was bursitis! One cortisone shot in exactly the right spot, and I was as good as new. read more

My experience with Dr. Herrema has been nothing short of incredible. He did a hip replacement on my right hip in June 2018 and I was immediately walking without much pain. In fact, I was able to get off pain meds within 24 hours. I was pain free after 5 years of extreme discomfort. Rehab was fast. PT at home and a quick recovery. I was even driving in 13 days. Well, I knew I needed my left hip done as well and same thing, super fast recovery and back to work in under 2 weeks. Wow. All I can say is this man is gifted, very caring , and just brilliant. Dr. Herrema and his staff are a first class health care unit. Dr. Herrema performed a right hip replacement on me this past August. The results were nothing short of fabulous! I had previous been seeing him for my hip osteoarthritis pain and treatment. Over time pain relieving shots were not working as planned. I am a lover of snow skiing and felt I would lose my ability to enjoy this sport. Hip replacement surgery was my only hope. His staff worked with me to schedule this and walked me through every step and answered all my concerns. Day of surgery was easy and everyone involved gave me confidence that I had sought. I checked in at 9:45 and was out of surgery with my new hip, up walking, and heading home by 3:30 the same day. Hip pain was non existent, incision soreness and discomfort were the only post op problems. I could walk to the bathroom and physical therapist was there the next day to start me on my recovery regimen. I used my walker for 4 days then used a cane after that for balance for the next two weeks. I was able to get in and out of the car and walk up steps. Started driving at the end of the third week!! Stitches were a bit irritating and numbness in the thigh area slowly subsided. After 4/5 weeks I was totally back to normal. No hip pain! No soreness! No discomfort putting on clothes, socks or shoes! After 4 and 1/2 months I was back on my snow skis in Colorado with no pain or discomfort. Thank you Dr Herrema and all your X-ray techs, MA's, and PA's and courteous scheduling staff for a flawless experience. I don't know why I waited so long to have this done!!! Dr. Herrema did a total right hip replacement on May 11, 2021 and I was back out playing golf by July 11. I couldn't be more pleased. After limping around for a year and a half for fear of doing surgery, I bit the bullet and had a consult with Dr. Herrema. I was convinced I should have it done. The surgery went beautifully. I was walking the same day and within a week I was walking around the neighborhood. There was a minimum amount of pain and I was off pain medication within 4 days. Dr J Byron Davidson is an exceptional orthopedic surgeon. He did a 2 level laminectomy on my and diskectomy for lumbar spinal stenosis. Office- professional, clean, welcoming Dr Davidson- explained my problem, reviewed all options and then performed the procedure at an outpatient surgicenter. I went home the same day. I have relief of my stenosis and am getting better each day. I saw him 2 weeks after the surgery and I am healing perfectly. He is compassionate and caring and very easy to talk to. Follow up- he called me the night of surgery to see how I was. I am so thankful that Dr Davidson was my surgeon. There are a lot of options and after numerous recommendations from other patients and doctors, I went with Dr Davidson. If you have back pain, you owe it to yourself to see Dr Davidson. read more

I love this office and everyone in it! From the minute you walk in the front door until you leave, you will feel like you really matter. The check-in process is very easy and the people at the front desk are very kind and friendly. I love how they have done away with sheets and sheets of paper to fill out and have gone to a computer tablet-type of thing. You can also go online and read exactly what happened and what was said during your visit! I have recently seen Dr. Anthony Marcotte and PA Chris Neil and they both are so knowledgeable and willing to share their knowledge to help me get better. I never feel like they are rushing me and they have always been willing to answer any questions I have. Bedside manner of both is excellent. So happy to have found this office. read more

Dr davidson is an ortho surgeon .very experienced in his field .dr marcotte is into joints and tendons of the wrist. Among other things but that is my limited observation. i see both in the same office.they are excellent and i would refer them to anyone. read more
