I moved to Coarsegold from the Bay Area and hadn't yet identified a new dentist. It started the night a veneer fell off, front and center of my smile, the night before flying out for an important event the next morning. Panicked, I reached out to Dr. Ohanesian and to my amazement, he texted me back (at 11PM!) and had me come in before normal working hours in order to squeeze me in. He completely saved the day! I just went back to take care of a couple of things and just can't say enough regarding how kind, patient, compassionate, funny, and what a great dentist he is. Making a living is of course important, but he is clearly not in it just for the money. This man clearly loves what he does. He has integrity. He encourages saving teeth when possible instead of more profitable alternatives, goes at your pace financially, and is super respectful --He goes above and beyond to best serve his patients, and every member of his staff is equally nice! He was incredibly thorough, gentle, and patient throughout the entire process. His kindness and empathy made me feel so comfortable, especially at a time when I was really overwhelmed. He explained everything clearly, made sure I felt safe at every step, and the quality of his work is unreal - he did an amazing job. I'm so grateful to have found him. On my first visit they could not verify my insurance, so I was unable to get my teeth cleaned. I called my insurance and my insurance couldn't understand why the office was not able to verify it. All the information was listed on my insurance card that I handed them. Anyhow, it got straightened out. The staff is great! Martin is very professional and most importantly it was a nearly painless procedure. When he numbed me for my old crown removal, I barely felt the needle inserted. I get a lot of anxiety from the drill and will often suddenly feel like I can't swallow or choke, but my anxiety was definitely low with Dr. Nahigian. My crown is a front tooth and it's so beautiful and natural looking. It honestly looks like my own tooth! I am very pleased. I am glad to have found a new dentist office that I trust and with great results.

They took X-rays and did an exam, and got me set up with an endodontist for a root canal. One thing to note (important, but not necessarily negative): I have Delta Advantage dental coverage, and the office does not take payment directly from them (though, as a courtesy, they do submit the claim). You have to pay up front and get reimbursed. From my limited experience with their care and demeanor, it's worth it. Now that the emergency has passed, I've scheduled a routine checkup and intend on becoming a regular patient.

They got me all the paperwork I needed as a new patient and informed me that they would be able to get me in to see the dentist today. I had been fighting an issue with a toothache for 4 days which was causing me extreme headaches. My fear was that I was going to need to have that tooth pulled and they weren't going to be able to help me today. I was able to get in to see the dentist get an X-ray of problem tooth and have the tooth extracted. I was so relived that they were able to fit me in. Everyone I interacted with was so nice and listened to my concerns. I am extremely pleased with my visit and I already have another appointment set to come back in. Been a bit since I had done a review for this place, as I have been here many times since…read more The bad: Seems that turnover here is quite high. Rarely have I gotten the same dentist or hygienist so you don't really feel a connection. After my cleaning today, was told I had to wait for 3D scans. The tech that did this didn't explain the purpose other than this is new and done annually. Not a comfortable experience. Not sure why they make you sit in the waiting area after you are done, though I suspect it's because they want to be sure if you owe money, they will get paid before you are "dismissed." Prior to be dismissed today, I asked to get a calendar reminder for my appointment 6 months from now. Was told they text reminders and they can give me a card with the details and "I can put it manually in my own calendar." Showed her my reminder I received just this week that I inputted into my Outlook calendar. She literally rolled her eyes and said "we don't control automated reminders!!! The good: The hygienist I had today was really good. The employees here are typically nice and professional (today was an exception of the eye rolling receptionist).
