Choosing Dr. Richard was truly a blessing…read more I had my original saline breast implants 20 years ago. At that time, I weighed about 93 pounds. Over the years, I gained weight and now weigh around 115 pounds. I've always been petite with a natural C cup, but after having three beautiful children, my breasts were no longer the shape I wanted. Looking back, I wish I had listened to my first plastic surgeon when he recommended getting a breast lift along with my augmentation. Instead, I only chose implants to restore the volume I had lost. The results were great for the first 10-14 years, but as I gained weight, gravity and the additional breast tissue caused my breasts to become much larger and droopier. I eventually started to hate how oversized and saggy they looked. For the last 2-3 years, I had been wanting a breast lift with new implants. I researched countless plastic surgeons in Las Vegas because I'm extremely picky. At one point, I even put down a $2,000 deposit with another surgeon, but I got nervous, canceled the surgery, and waited almost two more years. Then my girlfriend recommended Dr. Richard. After reading his excellent reviews, I scheduled a consultation about two months ago. From the moment I met him, everything just felt right. His staff was warm, welcoming, and professional. I barely had to explain what I wanted--Dr. Richard immediately understood my goals. One week ago, I had my breast lift with new silicone implants. Oh. My. Goodness. My breasts are absolutely beautiful! I can't stop looking at them. I honestly feel like I'm 17 years old again! I couldn't be happier with the results. I can't thank Dr. Richard enough for his incredible work. If you're considering a breast lift or breast augmentation, I wholeheartedly recommend him. He truly has gifted hands. Thank you, Dr. Richard, and thank you to every member of your amazing staff for guiding me through every step of the process. You made me feel comfortable and cared for from beginning to end. I absolutely love my new look--and so does my husband!

Over the last three days, I received three separate automated reminders confirming an appointment for today, July 16th. Because of these persistent confirmations, I physically called out of my shift at work to make sure I could attend, completely losing out on my wages for the day. When I called the office, I was told my appointment was canceled and pushed to next year. They do not know why they kept sending me reminders. For a premium clinic that charges thousands of dollars for surgical procedures, having a broken and misleading reminder system is completely unacceptable. It shows a total disregard for patients' time, careers, and income. If they cannot manage a basic scheduling calendar, I do not trust them with my healthcare. Save yourself the lost wages and the headache, and go to a clinic that actually respects its patients

His entire team especially Susan were so easy to communicate with. There wasn't one time that Susan did not respond to an email or a phone call, she was always available to talk to me, if I had to leave a message she always called me back right away. From day one they were respectful, caring, and detail oriented. Two weeks prior to my surgery I was calling them almost daily with different questions and concerns and they always responded with cheerful answers and great detail. Another thing that I thought was very surprising and I appreciate so very much is that I never had to wait. When it was my time to see the doctor he was in the room with me. I'm four weeks out from a full tummy tuck and breast lift, all of my follow up visits have been exactly what I needed. They're very accommodating to supplies, when I ran out and offered and supplied me with new compression belts and support bras. I just can't say enough Amazing things about Dr. Sohn and his whole team. I highly recommend him to everyone who needs/wants to get anything done.

Thank you for helping me feel better about myself, but I did not appreciate having to wait to long. When I told Mike's assistant that "finally I was able o Go back and I had been waiting over an hour" she blatantly ignored me To be fair I did not mind waiting, but since I required a ride home, it was very unfair for them to be waiting on the back burner when I was supposed to go in at 2:30. So when they wheeled me into the operation room, he had her music playing lol! By the time they put me on the table, I was out within seconds. When I woke up, I asked them when they were going to start, yet they were already done lol. I felt completely normal waking up, not groggy or sick. Healing has gone so well for me and way easier than I though it was going to be! My incision was so nicely stitched up and I have great confidence that it will be super light once completely healed. I am only 3 weeks post op but I am so thrilled with the results and cannot wait to see the final outcome. The scar placement was spot on- should out to you Dr. Reynolds! The price point for this surgery with such a skilled surgeon was absolutely fair and worth every penny! After years of going up and down in weight, I am so excited to have all the extra skin removed from my arm! Thank you to the entire team, from start to finish!

I had an extremely frustrating experience with Dr. Andrew Rogers and Desert West Surgery, from the…read moreinitial scheduling and procedure through months of follow up. I initially saw Dr. Rogers for removal of a cyst on my scalp in January. Even before the surgery, communication from the office was frustrating. His scheduler was extremely difficult to reach and repeatedly did not answer or return my calls when I was trying to arrange appointments. I also had very little communication about the actual procedure. I was not informed by Dr. Rogers about the anesthesia plan beforehand. I actually learned that I would be undergoing anesthesia when his scheduler called me to confirm the surgery. I found that extremely concerning and unsettling as a patient. After the initial surgery, I felt there was essentially 0 postop follow up or aftercare. During my January follow up appointment, Dr. Rogers did not notice that the incision was still leaking or that cyst material remained, because he quickly glanced at the incision and sent me on my way. I later learned that the cyst had not been completely removed and required another procedure in March to address the remaining cyst wall material that he missed. What should have been a relatively straightforward cyst removal has now turned into months of appointments, procedures, expenses and stress. As of August, the surgical site still has a small area that will not completely close and intermittently leaks. At my most recent appointment, Dr. Rogers told me that he "did not know why the area was still not healing" and said he would follow up with his partners. Instead of personally following up with me, I was simply scheduled with another surgeon in the practice. At that point, I decided to seek a second opinion from a dermatologist. The dermatologist examined the open wound and performed a biopsy and prescribed antibiotic ointment. I am currently waiting for the biopsy results to determine what needs to happen next. I understand that complications can happen and that no surgery is guaranteed to have a perfect outcome. My frustration is with the lack of communication, follow up and ownership throughout this entire process. I have spent a significant amount of money, time and emotional energy dealing with an issue that began in JANUARY, and I don't feel that my concerns have been handled with the level of care and communication I would expect from my surgeon. I was also frustrated when I was told that I would be charged a fee at a recent follow up appointment because the previous appointment had been considered a "courtesy." From my perspective, these have been ongoing follow up visits related to a surgical site that has still not healed, rather than unrelated "courtesy" appointments. I am hopeful that the dermatologist will finally determine why this wound has not healed and help me resolve the problem. Based on my experience, I would not choose Dr. Rogers again or anyone at Desert West Surgery.

I was facing "mesh" hernia surgery in 2 weeks. Thank God I found out about Dr. Petersen's no-mesh…read moretechnique in time... My doctor had assured me that the mesh technique for hernia repair surgery was the no-brainer, no-worries way to go. The rate for post-operative hernia recurrence was only 2%. He even gave me the option of state-of-the-art robotic surgery involving only 3 small incisions with minimal pain, that would have me "back in the saddle" in just 2 weeks. Sounded good. When I asked him how many "mesh" surgeries he had performed, he smiled and looked to me as if he was counting. "Hundreds?" I offered. "O yeah," he said with confidence. I made my appointment for surgery and left the office fairly optimistic, with a brochure in hand that explained the minimally-invasive, allegedly no-complications, no-side-effects mesh surgery. It all seemed so "slam-dunk." But something about it was bothering me. A few days later I went online to do my due diligence and check out this so-called safe and easy mesh surgery. What was this? 20% chance of chronic pain?...Debilitating, dagger-like pain from "migrating" mesh?...Horror stories of men who had lost their reproductive powers?...Doctors washing their hands of any liability? Then I found Dr. Petersen's website. Honestly, after reading his information on the risks of mesh and the benefits of his technique, I felt both relieved and skeptical. Well, I figured, I may as well fill out the online questionnaire. It only took 5 or 10 minutes. The survey said Petersen's office would get back to me soon. This was Friday night. They contacted me on Monday. A couple phone calls later, I was talking with Dr. Petersen himself. I had prepared a list of questions, including this big one: "How many non-mesh hernia surgeries have you performed?" "7000," he answered matter-of-factly. "Around 7000?" I repeated the number, to be sure I heard it right. "It's 7000," he said with quiet confidence. Seven-thousand? Holy cow! "And your recurrrence rate?" "2.7," he replied, again without hesitation. Only .7% higher risk than with mesh surgery. At that point I remember thinking I would sure like to go to Las Vegas. Then the doctor had some questions for me, and he determined from my answers that with mesh surgery I would be at very high risk for chronic pain. I believed him, but still...he was 7 hours away by car. So, a few days later I called my "mesh doctor" and asked him if he performed non-mesh surgery or knew of any doctor in the local area who did. He said No to both questions. I thought about bringing up the potential side effects of mesh. But he hadn't volunteered that information during my office visit, so how could I trust his answer now? Dr. Petersen's frank yet soft-spoken manner had won me over. That was it. I was going to Vegas. I cancelled my mesh surgery and scheduled a surgery with Dr. Petersen. Fortunately he was able to see me the following week. Long story short, the trip to Las Vegas was worth it. I am very impressed with Dr. Petersen as well as with his staff and assistants. They were all friendly, reassuring and compassionate from beginning to end. And his office is checking in on me regularly to make sure I'm okay. (Will a mesh surgeon do that?) I'm writing this testimonial 2 weeks after my surgery. Sure, there was and there still is some pain (Hello, it's SURGERY okay?) but it's fading day by day. If I wish, I could experience even less pain, but I'm not a big fan of pain pills. I took less than half of the pain meds Dr. Petersen's prescription allowed. If you have a hernia and are considering mesh repair, listen to me. My only "agenda" is that I'm a very satisfied patient who wants other men and women to be healthy and live without chronic pain. Please, PLEASE...check out Dr. Kevin Petersen first. Fill out his online questionnaire so his office can contact you. I'm confident you'll be glad you did. --Jim B. October 2018 P.S. Status report one month after my surgery: Kari called again from Dr. Petersen's office to check up on me. I was happy to report that I'm feeling great, just a little discomfort left when I push on the incision. A couple days ago I ran about 50 yards 2 or 3 times for a cool time-lapse camera shot, just because I felt like it! I wouldn't have braved that before my surgery.

Extremely disappointing and frightening experience -- please do your research…read more I am writing this review because I sincerely do not want another family to go through what my mother and I have experienced. My mother had surgery at this facility on Monday .We were told the procedure would take around 1 hour and 45 minutes and that she would remain for observation afterward. Instead, less than an hour later, I received a call saying she was ready to go home. I was extremely confused and concerned because this was completely different from what we had been told beforehand, and she in fact was send home without observation. After returning home, I was responsible for helping care for my mother. I was shocked by the condition she was in. She was experiencing significant bleeding, and I felt completely terrified and overwhelmed because I was genuinely afraid something was seriously wrong. I also felt that she had not been given adequate postoperative instructions, supplies, or the proper garment needed for her recovery. Another major concern was the procedure itself. My mother originally wanted a mommy makeover, but ultimately underwent a BBL, which requires very specific postoperative care and creates significant limitations on sitting and normal daily activities. She was not prepared for how demanding this recovery would be. When we contacted the facility regarding our concerns, we were told that because she had signed the paperwork, they had no responsibility once she left the facility. Hearing that as a family member who was watching her struggle was incredibly upsetting. I take responsibility for the fact that my mother ultimately made the decision to have the surgery, and I wish she had done more research beforehand. However, as her daughter, I cannot ignore what I witnessed during her recovery. Please, please do your research before choosing any surgical facility. Ask questions about postoperative care, what happens if complications occur after you leave, what supplies and garments are provided, how long you will actually be monitored, and exactly what support is available afterward. I am not writing this review to attack anyone. I am writing it because I genuinely hope another family does not experience the fear, confusion, and distress that we have experienced. A surgical decision is incredibly serious, and patients deserve to feel safe, informed, and properly cared for before, during, and after their procedure. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this facility.
