Satyam always pushed me to step outside of my comfort zone even when I was scared, unsure or didn't think I was ready. At the time, I didn't realize how much those moments were helping me grow but looking back, they changed me in so many ways. After working together for so many years, I can honestly say I am a completely different person than when I first started. He helped me grow not only as a singer but as a person. So much of the confidence I have today comes from his encouragement, patience, and belief in me. Satyam always saw potential in me even when I couldn't see it in myself and I will forever carry that with me. He taught me to believe in my voice, but more importantly, he taught me to believe in myself. I truly wouldn't be the person I am today without him and I'll always be grateful that he was such a big part of my journey.

I have grown tremendously with my vocal abilities thanks to Mr. Patel who has helped me broaden my vocal range, build my vocal agility, eliminate vocal strain, strengthen my stage presence, and helped me become more confident as a vocalist. I HIGHLY recommend Mr. Patel to everyone of all levels who are interested in singing and especially to those who are very serious about improving their vocal techniques and skills.

I signed up for lessons hoping to correct a speech impediment I have had since middle school. They…read moreswore this was absolutely possible. After about a month or two, I was getting the wildest compliments during lessons "you're going to be a star" and "embrace the fame thats coming your way" "you are about to be on TV" I didn't understand what was going on or even what this TV show was. I was humble and didn't want to ask questions. Before one of the showcases, I was even supposed to have a private meeting with one of her "producers" to record. After long, I realized the same eager crowd that showed up at these "producer showcases" to perform & impress were mostly the same ones coming to lessons. I was told things like "you'll have album in three years" and because of her connections with music stars.....maybe even a collab with Carrie Underwood. There was also *tremendous* pressure to come online and leave a 5-star review. I felt uneasy that things which seemed private and confidential about other students were shared during lessons. I also realized that she seemed to share things about me that I wish she wouldn't have. I wish that I would have walked away when I got to the point I was at...and never got involved with her "showcases" and her producers. I wish I would have trusted the bad feeling in my gut about all of it. It felt like mind games, with the wild promises, and the producers, and how they never talked to me directly about what was going on. I would be ashamed to talk like this to my voice students, and Mr. Riggs probably wouldn't approve of this business modality either. Now, I am trying to find myself again after the grief this has caused in my life. Which is far more than can be fit in this review.

Kelli didn't simply decide one day she knew something about performing and hang a shingle. She has the bona fides of a career at the top of the entertainment industry, most notably as the first American Eponine in the original Broadway production of Les Miserables. She also starred in the first national tours of Evita and Aspects of Love; in addition, she has sung on some of the world's greatest concert stages, from Toronto to Munich to London's Royal Albert Hall. I saw first hand her level of professionalism and her working knowledge of surviving in show business, more importantly, how to survive 8 shows a week of high modern-aged belting. In the years since, I have encountered (auditions or on stage) several of Kelli's students and been thorough amazed. They display great poise, investment in their craft, and in some, a greater depth of feeling than their young years should provide. Several are working professionally. One just closed in a starring role on Broadway. Everyone has a voice. If that were enough, the stars would fill the airwaves. Unfortunately, getting from studio to the stage door entrance takes hard work and frankly, a great deal of insider knowledge. Whether you're an adult looking for a refresher or a student (or parent of one) who may have a dream or ambition, you will benefit from studying with Kelli. In fact, you'll have The Advantage.

I love that she's a legit working musician with a ton of experience and not just a music teacher. She's helping me overcome the worst stage fright & got me to sing a song at open mic. Her guitar lessons have been really effective! I've tried to learn guitar several times in the past & it has always felt grueling & I've never stuck with it. With Pam her approach just makes more sense & has it broken down in a way that you start actually playing more quickly so it feels more fun. If you're looking for a vocal or guitar coach you really can't go wrong with Pam :)
