There are no signs so...... look for the "Town of Warwick Sports Complex" sign (it's across from the "Warwick Town Park") and follow the signs to the Lacrosse Field. In other words, when you take the turn for the Sports Complex, you'll need to go behind the baseball field (the roads veers to the left), you'll pass the hockey rink on your right, then you'll see the dog park on your right, across the way from the lacrosse field. Secondly thankfully this is a private dog park that anyone can join for an annual fee. Makes me feel safe that only neutered/spayed dogs with all appropriate vaccinations come here. I'm happy to pay $55 a year knowing that all the dogs that come here are fully vaccinated and fixed. Well worth it. I go almost daily, I've yet to see a fight.

I really appreciate this as my dog is an anxiety prone rescue. While we lived in NYC we couldn't go into any of the dog parks as you never know anything about the dogs. Also, the park is very big so the dogs have space to stay to themselves unlike the small parks in NYC. Everyone I have met is very kind and helpful. I have found out about such great restaurants, contractors, other dog friendly places, vet clinics and a wonderful doggy daycare place.

There is basically 4 different areas in this park - a small dog area, 2 large dog areas and a short wooded path that you can walk on with your dog. Sometimes I've been here where they close half the larger dog area, I'm not sure why this is. In the parking lot, there is a port-a-john for us humans, and trash can/doggie bags for the pups. Everyone seems to be really responsible here with their dog which is a major benefit. So our trips to Bowden Park happened roughly once a week so he can read all the "Social PEEdia.". Regardless of what time or day it is, you'll always find people enjoying the trail, walk, quiet, picnic, entertaining children, or using one of the several permanent gazebo structures to host a celebration. I think it's still possible to rent out the lodge for overnight stays and private parties. I would defer to them to confirm that There's a little chapel on site and I've never been inside, but it looks absolutely adorable. This could be a great place for a casual country wedding celebration and picnic in place of those high priced extravagant weddings. This is our third visit this month and I have failed to report in two other times. If you have a dog, this is a great place to visit but make sure you bring your 6 foot leash. It is mandatory Like all parks in the county, the park closes at dusk. Be respectful and carry your trash out with you if you can't find a receptacle of which there are many. And by all means, clean up after your pet and your children. Keep the Park beautiful for everyone. The location of Bowden Park is on the edges of the Hudson River. Picnic tables are scattered throughout the park along with pavilions. The pavilions are in great shape and in use. Bathrooms are provided in the main building. Also, be on the lookout for upcoming mini concerts, which are performed on the hilly field just as you enter. There are a total of six trails that are assigned a color, starting at one point and ending at a different location (with some reconnecting with the same path), except the blue trail, which does a loop, and also the Wappingers Greenway Trail, which passes through. I've enjoyed exploring, with decent views and scenery. The intersections of different paths need to be marked clearly, and instead, the sign is further in. Reading the map is key to not getting lost, which Bowdoin Park provides. There's a lot to offer for all ages, and it's a destination anyone won't regret along the Hudson River with a touch of nature.

It's a…read morequiet park on the shore of the Hudson River overlooking Bannerman's Island, Breakneck Ridge, and the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge. This is a very safe park which is frequently patrolled by the village police. As far as droning, this is one of the best spots I've ever flown out of. It's legal per the village codes, so long as you're not flying in a manner that would alarm other park-goers. Fly respectfully. With high-end drones, you can fly over Bannerman's and Breakneck to achieve great pictures. Dogs often bring their owners here for a walk or run in the large, open field bordering the river. Some dogs even bring their owners in for a swim in the shallow water. I believe there is a leash law, but not really enforced if you're playing a harmless game of fetch together. The park features a large, white gazebo, which lights up at nighttime and is frequently used for weddings. There are plenty of charcoal grills and picnic tables. All summer long, couples or families can be seen here picnicking or BBQing. Many people tend to lay out in the sun and sunbathe, while others relax in the shade under the large trees. The people who use this park are very friendly. People will almost definitely approach you and strike up a conversation (as with any park, some of the people are lonely and they can try keeping you talking for hours), but they're often respectful of your space and you can sit quietly by yourself. There is also a boat dock, which requires a permit from Village Hall. The boat ramp is a cement slab with a small dock (staging area only). There is no room to dock here to enjoy the park or to stay overnight. This is only for use with the ramp. The ramp isn't in the greatest of conditions - oddly, poverty-stricken Newburgh's ramp is much better than Donahue Park's. There are only a few parking spots in the back end of the park for vehicles with boat trailers. Vehicle parking is aplenty, but beware -- this is paid parking. Either you must have a parking permit (from Village Hall), or you can use a cell phone app called ParkMobile to pay $5.45 for the day. This is all electronic - once you pay, your vehicle info shows on the police car computers and they know not to write you a parking ticket. There is also a porta-potty located at the far end of the park, which is removed during the winter months. Beware of the Cornwall Yacht Club located behind the village porta-potty. The snooty members drive like maniacs through the park, tending to blow their horns at people who are walking or moving too slow within the park. Unfortunately, the park is their only access to their little clubhouse. Their rowdy behavior sometimes takes away from the peacefulness of the park, but fortunately, it's only for 4 or 5 months out of the year.
