The sites, being first-come, first-served, we open enough and many offered just the right amount of privacy. I can see where a busy weekend might alter people's views of this, but mid week July? Perfect. The restrooms / showers were clean. The sites were also very clean. I believe the staff comes by everyday and cleans the fire pits from the sites that are empty. A great local gem. And yes, o wil be back.

It is stocked at times, so be sure to bring a fishing pole for the kids. They have large fields, playgrounds, tennis courts and more. It's a beautiful park that is very well kept. The staff keeps it very clean and well maintained. The bathrooms are pretty clean, the staff friendly and it is dog friendly. It also has the Arboretum connected to it. It is a nice hidden treasure of the Campbell Hall and Montgomery area.

Highlights of the trail are Sam's point, Ice cave and lastly Verkeerderkill falls. At Sam's point there are dramatic overlooks and spectacular cliff views, A photographer's paradise. Ice cave was amazing, we had to go through some crevices, my headlamp was very useful at those dark areas and footpath, I noticed remnants of ice inside even at the start of summer (that's when I did the hike), did a little rock scrambling outside the cave, there was an extraordinary ridge overlook at the end of the cave and a fantastic view from a large rock outcrop. The most challenging and strenuous part was the hike from the Ice cave to Verkeerderkill Falls - rocky, narrow, lengthy, uneven, wet, slippery, stream-like path, trekking poles and waterproof hiking boots was a big help to endure the trail. Verkeerderkill falls is a spectacle to see, there are a few ridges, escarpment, and ledge spots (somewhat perilous as all were near the drop-off) to rest and view the falls (I found a good spot facing the falls while hydrating, snacking and replenishing my energy). A solid day's workout, this is everything I could ask for from a great recreational, adventurous, stimulating hike with mother nature.

I really love this state park. Parking is $10. There is an area to bbq, an area to rent pedal…read moreboats, a hotel, a pool, area to purchase food and hiking trails. I usually go just to hike and enjoy the views. What I like is that the trail is always clean with clear signs on where to walk up which creates a safe hike. There are different levels of difficulty of trails so you can either select a moderate trail or challenging one. There is a large grass area where you can sit and enjoy a picnic or take a walk around the lake.

I live in the area and the closest you can get to this park is along the Heritage Trail that runs adjacent to the land Good Time Park is on however that is the extent to which the public will get access to this "park". It really shouldn't even be labeled on a map since the general public can't access it. According to historic listing this land/park used to be used for harness track racing in ancient times which makes sense since the Harness Racing Museum in located very close to this property in the village of Goshen which is an awesome museum to visit if you happen to be in the area.
