They loaded the pork with a ton of sauce, it was a wet mushy mess. The only flavor was the sauce and pickle juice. So if it was still considered bad, we would be out only half the cost. The BOGO offer couldn't be found, but we will not be back. We both purchased a pulled pork platter. While I got the beans and fries, she got the coleslaw and fries. My wife hated the coleslaw and asked for the beans. The coleslaw was done in a blender and had little flavor. The beans were okay. The fries had a weird taste. I recognized that taste, as the frying oil needing to be changed. The fries were over cooked and had a rancid taste. The pulled pork had a few big chunks of fat and the BBQ sauce was skimpy. But you could request for more.

And my BBQ is pretty darn good. When it comes to eating out I have a rule that the place has to make something or do it in a way that is either cheaper than I can do or make better than I can make it. Hog Daddy's nails both of those points. My kids are quite picky eaters. They tend to gravitate to the typical 6-year-old habits of chicken strips and other fried foods. My girls were not pleased that I chose Hod Daddy's at first. Then they tried it and asked me to go back the next day and get more. The girls loved the pulled pork sandwich which they said "needed nothing else, it was so good." He even chopped up a 1/4 chicken leg for my twins that wanted chicken instead of port. That was not on the menu but he obliged as he saw I had my hands full with these picky girls. They loved the chicken sandwich! My wife and I got the Pulled Pork and Ribs platter. Between the two of us, we had Brunswick Stew, Potato Salad, and Baked Beans as sides. As you know, you can judge a place on it's stew. Hog Daddy did not disappoint. His Brunswick Stew was FIRST RATE. The pulled pork was top notch. Juicy and did not need sauce. The ribs were perfect. Fell off the bone and were also juicy and full of flavor. My wife and I were stuffed about half way through the platter. It was a TON of food at an amazing price. We stopped in the next day and picked up more food for the drive home. Stop in here if you are in the mood for BBQ you will love it. The kids will love it. This is some great BBQ. PS: I sampled the Chicken and Dumpling Soup. OMG if you have the opportunity to get some, do it.. you do not know what you are missing. I don't care if it is 95 degrees outside, this soup is worth it. Bummed I did not get a bowl while I was there.

I would definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area. You can tell the owner really takes pride in the food quality and provides very friendly service. A place you'd want to grab and go and don't forget to get some extra sauce (about $2), it's clearly made in house and very delicious depending on the style you might prefer. You will want some more of it. We tried the brisket, chicken, ribs, pulled pork, sausage, and some great sides especially the beans and potato salad (good spice flavor balance). My family all enjoyed making sandwiches from our various well smoked meats. One thing I would consider is a bit more heat, but I'm sure every area and individual has their own preferences. All around excellent value and deliciousness!

BBQ is a beautiful American tradition and Stateline is a remarkable representation of all the best things about it. The small space is nicely appointed, tastefully, but also unquestionably like a BBQ joint. What does that mean...hard to know, but at the same time, it's nearly always easy to tell when you are inside a BBQ joint vs any other restaurant. The ribs are delicate and fall off the rack, with an intense Smokey flavor. The wings are their signature dish and also rather incredible. People are nice and there isn't much more one can ask for. It's an incredibly solid place for a very enjoyable piece of this all American tradition.

Turns out this little unassuming BBQ…read morejoint on Jackson Street is a surprising spot for some of the tastiest, well-portioned and fair priced BBQ in Newnan! Dad and I were after BBQ on a Sunday afternoon and after scoping out our usual places, we decided to finally give ole Dunc's a try...and we are glad we did! The space is small but well laid out with booths lining both sides of the restaurant and then tables in the center. Standard condiments, sauces and paper towels sit on each table. Service was quick and friendly. Hostess directed us to sit wherever, and a server quickly followed. The server was friendly, efficient and helpful from start to finish. We were after some good food, so for lunch my dad went with the classic pulled pork sandwich with a side of slaw. The sandwich was loaded with meat, enough for him to essentially have it served two ways and enjoy a bit with a fork before diving into the sandwich. Coleslaw was standard, but hard to do much with a classic coleslaw. I went with the smoked turkey platter sided with Brunswick stew, fried okra, hushpuppies and added a sausage link. The turkey was smoked well, retained a good bit of moisture and paired with the Alabama white sauce, was delightful! The sausage was the most surprising part of the meal, it was good size, had a great snap, was juicy and overall, was the best bite on my plate. The sides were good. Brunswick stew was fairly standard, and the okra was well fried and tasty. Overall, very impressed with Dunc's, while it is not the best BBQ you will find, I am the first to admit that everything we had was a bit better than we honestly anticipated and was way larger in portions to boot. This combined with the price definitely makes Dunc's our new go-to for BBQ in Newnan!

I ordered the BBQ chicken plate, and…read morethe chicken looked more like ground turkey that had been run through a blender than actual BBQ chicken. The texture was completely off and not appetizing at all. The potato salad wasn't much better--it had a strange powdery taste that made it seem like it came from a mix instead of being homemade. The only reason I'm not giving an even lower rating is because the potato wedges were mid, and the service was outstanding. The staff was friendly, attentive, and did a great job. Unfortunately, good service couldn't make up for the quality of the main food items.
