Love FALL!
Jennifer I.

My first time here and full transparency I was looking for something in the area and the pink caught my eye. There's LOTS of parking, they have inside and outside seating. They have a clean restroom. Now let's talk about their menu, they have an extensive list of drinks and I especially love how many coffees they have based on the Vietnamese coffee. I am a Fall girlie so I tried the Pumpkin Girl, less sweet. And can I say, I love all their milk options too! They are religion based so if that's not your thing you probably wouldn't appreciate the gospel music or the Bible versus but as a Catholic it brings me comfort. Not the mention ALL THE PINK! I tried their ham and cheese croissant and Theo Pumpkin Girl, both really good, both made well and super fast and friendly service. If I lived closer I would definitely make this my normal spot.

If you're a girly girl who loves pink, you can't help but smile when you walk into this coffee shop. It's the ultimate girly girl coffee spot! The aesthetics are adorable, especially the Pomona location. It is also a faith based coffee shop and they put scripture references on their coffee cups. The inside is small and quaint, but whether you're staying to yap with a friend or just grabbing your coffee to go, it's worth stopping by just to see the place. The lattes aren't the strongest or most flavorful I've ever had, but the baristas are always lovely, and they have plenty of fun drinks to choose from. I recently tried the Vietnamese coffee, which was pretty delicious (only made with almond milk), and I usually order a latte from their seasonal or specialty menu. Yesterday I had the s'mores latte and really enjoyed it, along with a delicious churro croissant. They do a great job making their drinks look fun, and it's definitely worth stopping by to give them a try.

Thirsty Girl Coffee is a lovely coffee shop with a beautiful pink color theme in the City of Montclair. Plenty of free parking. Nice and simple interior decor. Good inside space with couch and table/chair seatings. Lots of windows that allow good light in. One all gender restroom available in the back of the shop. Key code may be required. My Mom and I came here to try one of their delightful lattes. We were greeted upon entry. Lady staff, Brianne, was super friendly and provided excellent service. I asked for her recommendation. She said Cinny Bun is one of her favorites. Thanks! It comes with white mocha, cinnabon bun, and cinnamon powder. It sounded good so that's what I got in hot instead of cold. It was indeed a great choice... very smooth and warm taste and not too sweet. Love the cinnamon flavor. It was perfect! Highly recommend. They have a good handful of other coffee/latte flavors. They also sell a variety of pastries. Can't wait to return to try their Vietnamese coffee and pair it with a tasty pastry. If you're in the area, don't be shy... drop on by and support this wonderful biz. They are ready to serve you. Thanks Thirsty Girl!

Amazing coffee! Delicious, rich, and strong, just the way I love it! The desserts are absolutely delicious, and the staff is so friendly and welcoming. Such a great little coffee spot! Highly recommend!

Cute vibe, great customer service , good coffee, quick service. We walked into this establishment on a Thursday around 1:30 pm and it was a treat. Def will be back. Thankyou

Thirsty Girl Thursdays are my favorite, 15% off your drink! My go to drink is always the groovy girl. I love that it is a Christian based business, that always a bible verse or a sweet message on the cup. The cafe is all pink too which is also another reason it is my favorite. 10/10 recommend.

Super cute place! Ambience is great, I come on weekends to do work and it's a nice energetic vibe. It does get crowded and it's a small place but has seating outside. The owner is very friendly and greets all customers. If you like your coffee on sweeter side like me you'll enjoy the drinks and desserts are delicious.

Banana matcha & cold brew

Their banana matcha is hands down the best banana bread matcha I've ever had! It's very delicious, 10/10!! Their staff is very welcoming and nice. Their prices are very reasonable for being a small business! The vibes of the cafe are so adorable and I love the pink furniture!

I came in today and tried the matcha girl, it was good didn't taste like any matcha I've had before it was on the thicker side, but tasty. The decor is super cute ! The girl in the register was not bubbly but not a big deal

While I love coming in not sure their Vietnamese coffee is made properly. It's very milky and light. Should be stronger and darker. ( reason for minus 1 star) However I LOVE their lattes. They def know how to make delicious syrups and toppings and creams! Their banana one is to die for. Definitely recommend if it's your first time. I find myself thinking about that latte more than I should. Inside is kind of small it feels crammed, but they do offer outdoor seating. Everyone seems kind so far, for sure a good coffee shop to grab a quick drink and head out.

Delicious coffee and such a total vibe! I love the meaning behind the name, and the girls are seriously the sweetest! Great music, yummy pastries, and the perfect spot to grab a drink to-go or sit, sip, and chat. Such a cute little gem -- definitely worth stopping by!

Really enjoyed my experience at Thirsty Girl! The aesthetic of this business is so girl-coded, pink EVERYWHERE! They are also a faith-driven business which I love, and you can see this throughout the whole store. Drinks are high-quality and they offer tons of sugar-free and keto options. We tried the "I'm Alive But I'm Dead" cold brew and the "Groovy Girl" - both were great. I also got a chocolate chip cookie that was so yum.

Samantha P.

What a fun shop! From the first step in you are greeted with an amazing environment, from the pink decor to the energy from the staff it is a hit! I ordered a cold brew with strawberry foam and a matcha. The cold brew itself doesn't standout but with the foam it's really good! The matcha was a pass for me. I'm not a huge fan of the writing of a bible verse on my cup, but that's part of their deal and I can respect that! Definitely check this spot out, the staff and vibe make it well worth it!

It isn't the best I've ever had, but I'd say it's the best I've tried in Claremont. However, the wait times can be pretty ridiculous... I just stopped by at 9:30am today, and it took me about 30 minutes to get my drink and find a place to sit. Also, there is very limited seating. My biggest issue, though, is the hospitality. Unfortunately, I've had multiple experiences where the baristas come across as dismissive and noticeably less friendly towards me. I've also noticed what feels like a pattern of differential treatment toward Asian customers. (As an Asian customer myself.) I've seen baristas casually chatting with white customers in front of and behind me, only for their demeanor to change when interacting with me. I can't speak to their intentions, but having experienced this more than once over the past two years, it's something I've found difficult to ignore. Their drinks are good enough to keep me coming back, but the long waits and inconsistent hospitality take away from the experience.

The shop is big and was full of people hanging out or working when I arrived, so no seats were available. It was also like a library, so quiet, no background music playing. It would've been a better vibe if there was some kind of music, it felt kind of weird to be in a coffee shop with no noise. I decided on the hot Caramel Turtle Latte because it sounded different and I've never tried a latte flavor like that before. Their pastries are brought in from a local bakery and looked yummy so I had to have a chocolate croissant too. While I waited I looked around and saw that they have coffees beans for sale, where they donate $1 per bag to the local charity that is listed on the coffee bag: Ability First, Inland Valley Hope, and The Joseph Project. I love that they support the local community! My latte was so good, and while my croissant was pretty good, I didn't like that it was warmed up in the microwave. It made what looked like a crispy croissant soft, flat, and soggy. I wish they could've baked it in a toaster oven or something so that it comes out flaky.

There are a few different seating options (communal table, couch, smaller tables, on the stage...and more) and it is a great place to socialize, work, or just relax. My all time favorite drink is the bowl of soul with coconut creme tea (hot). It originally comes with Earl grey (I think) but the coconut tea adds a sweet flavor that I personally enjoy. The tea steeps in hot soy milk and is flavored with honey and cinnamon. Drinking it truly feels like "a bowl of soul". It's great on a cold or rainy day and it always lightens my mood. Highly recommend! In the summer, I really like the get the "make your own smoothie". It is especially good with granola and honey! Tastes like a blended fruit bowl! It's amazing. Another yummy treat to try is their bagels (+cream cheese)!! I don't know what it is, but the bagels at the motley are delicious. You can toast them up yourself on the counter to the right of the cashier. I personally like the cinnamon raisin or blueberry but they have many many sweet and savory flavors. Almond Haus was a no-brainer. Not only did they provide full-service catering, but their boba milk teas were legitimately some of the best we've ever had. It's not awful, but it tastes frugal. I arrived at Almond Haus Cafe (Claremont) on Sunday (around 12:20PM). Parking is easy. The lot is very big. My immediate impression of the location's interior is "abandoned warehouse." There's cardboard boxes lying about; the lights are dim & gloomy; and the furniture & walls looked old and poorly maintained. There were no customers, other than myself. Staff zipped out from the back when I'd entered. There's no self-service kiosks, so customers order at the counter. Staff is friendly and welcoming. After receiving my drink, Staff vanished into the back for the entire time. The drink took one minute and six seconds. Fast!! As mentioned, the Brown Sugar Milk Tea ($5.50) with Boba (additional 79 cents) is not awful. It's big, cheap, and thirst-quenching. Although the boba lacked any perkiness, I did appreciate its very small sweetness. Concerning the ambiance, it felt sad. Chairs had mysterious black stains, dust & webs gripped the windows' corners, yellow & aged plants lazed about, and lights stayed dimly lit like a haunted house. However, there's utility. Almond Haus Cafe (Claremont) has six electrical outlets. There's also customer internet with password; details on the plastic countertop. And there's a restroom for customers. In addition, the floors and tables are fairly clean. Overall, Almond Haus Cafe (Claremont) feels like a forgotten relic of time. At the very minimum, it's an adequate establishment.
