Closing!!! Last day Sun 07/26! We stopped in for Thirsty First's unlimited well-drinks on Friday. Fra Diavolo hot tots. Rangoon chili crab mozzarella sticks. Yum! This time we skipped their ice cream desserts: chocolate tacos and donut ice-cream "sliders". Yum, when we get those :-) Wait! What? We discovered that they are closing on Sunday 07/26! Ouch! They've been a fun sports bar :-( You might see us today and Sunday. Brunch from 10am-3pm. Bottomless Mimosas for $21 and Bottomless Bromosas for $28 - Sat: DJ 9pm- Close and Shot Specials All Night - Sun: Karaoke 7pm-10pm, $22 Prime Rib Dinner 5pm-8pm, 40% off for Service Industry Workers after 8pm. Meh. Not digging the vibes. The service and drinks were fine; the upstairs was pretty cool but my issues was how dark the downstairs is. It felt like I was walking into a club which is not the vibe I'm looking for to watch a football game. I used to go to the previous location before Rowdies games and I enjoyed it better then. read more

Great service at the tables. Absolutely awful service at the bar. Loud music with no sound on for game days. Decent food. My friends liked the wings and I got the cobb salad. Fun drinks- I got the smorgasm and my friends liked her bloody mary. read more

So we haven't been to their new spot and we know the food is good so let's grab a table outside and eat!! I grabbed the St Pete wrap. So many good flavors. The shaved beef is awesome. Debs bloody came with waffle chicken sliders and their tot bombs. Bombs are delicious. Bloody was awesome but the stuff on top was too much. Jason our server was great. Got the wrap at his recommendation. Awesome call. Still really good food here and the new spot with outdoor seating is nice. read more

Such a great (re)addition to DTSP! So glad they are back! Everything was awesome! Hard to believe they have only been open for less than a week. You can tell these guys know what they're doing. Service by Matt was really solid with continual check ins on us and explaining all the menu items. You get the feeling he really enjoys what he does. Food was amazing and atmosphere was really good as well. Being locals, we are always excited about new concepts and the new space they have is so expanded from their old space and just a fun place to hang out, people watch and watch the games. Will definitely be putting in the usual rotation! read more

First time to Thirsty first on a Sunday NFL game day. They are a great place to watch football with all the screens, that was definitely the best part. We got the prohibition tots and a few wraps to eat. The tots were good but the other food was sort of a let down. The chicken wasn't great, kind of tasted like it was cheap and frozen, the fries were cold on all of our entrees. Maybe we got the wrong kind of food here and should have sticked to the bar classics. Will definitely be back to watch a game but might just get a few apps. read more

Cubano was good. But don't order DoorDash and ask for a pizza. It came in cold and congealed. The dasher waited and waited for our food and drove right over and the food was gross. The brownie waffle didn't have the sauces and it was dense and kinda hard. read more

Eh. Not my cup of tea. Came here for an event and thought it was ok. The service was good but the vibes just weren't for me.

Thirsty First is the absolute best sports bar in downtown Saint Pete. Starting out, the menu is wildly extensive and has something for everyone. Truly the best wings & boneless wings around- with over a half dozen flavors, my favorite being Cajun. They also have healthy food options like chicken Caesar wraps and "power bowls" which are like grain bowls with protein. The biggest surprise is how good their pizza is, so thin & crispy. They also have a Brunch Menu on the weekends featuring some very unique options you won't find anywhere else in town as well as bottomless mimosas. For a sports bar, they have an extensive cocktail menu. There are over 60+ TVs and 2 mega screens. They always oblige when you ask for a specific game or channel. During football games and UFC fights, the place gets extremely busy. However, it is a massive 2 floor space with 2 very large bars and quick and attentive staff- so you're never left waiting no matter how crowded it gets. If you're in the mood to host a party, they do offer bottle service and reserved couch seating upstairs. I'm not a huge sports bar person, but my boyfriend is. I prefer going here over others because it has good food, cold AC, and is within easy walking distance to some of my favorite bars and restaurants downtown, so we can hop around town after a game. Finally, this spot always has something going on as far as entertainment- DJs, Karaoke nights, comedic bingo, live music, etc, the list goes on. On Friday nights they host an insanely cheap All You Can Drink. I think it's like only 15$, well worth it. read more

I heard this bar had the best chicken wings in all of Pinellas County. I was skeptical as every bar says they have the best wings. I am originally from NY so you know we know our wings. Let me tell you they made a believer out of me. I truly felt like I was sitting in a NY bar upstate. Absolutely the best wings in all of florida. You wont be disappointed. We were excited to see the new location finally open for business this week and decided to stop in with some friends for drinks and an early dinner. The space has a lot of potential to be a hot spot on central with two large bars, lots of tables, tons of tvs, and a small stage for a dj or small band. That said, we felt like there were several areas that missed the mark on this visit. Immediately upon walking in, the first thing we all commented on was how DARK it was inside. We arrived around 5:45 pm as the sun was very much still out, but once inside the restaurant, it was as if we were inside a dark cave. Aside from the darkness of the restaurant, the other thing that was immediately apparent was the poor ventilation and A/C. It was a hot day in the upper 80s so we were hoping to be able to cool off inside. Unfortunately, the restaurant wasn't much cooler than outside. We weren't immediately able to find a table large enough for our group of 7 downstairs so we headed upstairs and were able to push two tables together. We waited for a while before realizing there were no servers and we would need to order drinks and food from the bar. The bartenders and service staff we interacted with were great! One member of our group accidentally ordered the wrong thing and they were very quick to accommodate and bring her something else. Drinks were made quickly and were delicious. Now, onto the food. We ordered the trashcan nachos, buffalo chicken dip, and various entrees. The nachos were tasty but skimpy on meat and toppings. The buffalo chicken dip was only okay. It tasted like melted cottage and cheddar cheese and was also skimpy on meat. The entrees we ordered were also tasty but very small portions. I got the Bird Cage sandwich and when it arrived, I thought they accidentally gave me a kids meal before seeing everyone else's was also small. Overall a decent experience for a newly opened restaurant and I would go again. Hopefully they'll be able to work out some of the kinks. There is however, one thing that should absolutely be addressed that we thought was unacceptable. When we finally closed out our tab, we were SHOCKED to find that we were charged $6 each for cups of tap water!!! For an establishment making a large portion of its revenue on alcohol sales, this should be illegal. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

I called for a pick up order and they said they can't take orders over the phone right now so I walk in and order a to go order ( the restaurant was empty so I have no clue why they couldn't do an order for pick up over the phone). After I order a to go order it takes 45 minutes to receive my food. I also paid right away and then 20 minutes of waiting she asked if I paid? After another couple minutes she asked me what I ordered again so she obviously didn't put my order in. After 40 minutes she said she would finally go check on my food but after saying that she took 2 people drink orders who just walked in. After receiving my food I asked if there was ranch or bbq in the bag because I paid for extra ranch and she said it's in there I get home and no ranch. That was probably the most incompetent human I've ever dealt with. Don't go to thirsty first. It was the lady working at the bar at 4pm on June 12th. I will never eat there again and the food is awful. read more

Finally found the perfect spot for game day! They have TVs absolutely everywhere, top notch wings, and excellent service.

Service is awesome and the food was amazing! We got their bowls and they were one of the best bowls we had in our lives.

Our new fav downtown sports bar! The food is delicious, like the previous location, but this building is just a better fit for this bar! The TVs are awesome, and the upstairs patio is a plus. Excited to try brunch! read more

My wife and I went to watch the Bills game on 1-17-26 and the food was very good. The waitress Lucy was amazing and gave us great service. The only issue we had was when the Bill came and we looked we were charged for doubles which we asked for but didn't think they'd double the price of the drink. Went on football Sunday. Was very busy inside. We sat on the couches outside and had views of multiple games! It was hot, might be nice to get some fans out there for summer time. Our server was very sweet however she kept forgetting a lot of our drinks, silverware, waters etc. she was very busy though. It's nice they serve you outside as well! It was kinda pricey and my food was terrible!!! I got the grouper dinner. Prob my fault for ordering that at a sports bar but I had hope. Mashed potatoes and broccoli was good but the grouper was inedible. Fishy, unseasoned and nasty. Didn't eat any of the fish! It smelled so fishy I had to put it on an empty table next to us since the server never came back to take it or ask how the food was. The bathrooms were clean but out of toilet paper and the hallway to the bathroom smelled like musty sewage almost. I would go back again and just not expect a lot from service or food. read more
