Shawn pierced my nose about a week ago. The line to see him was literally out the door. A couple girls were there who had gotten every piercing from him and they said that's totally normal for him to have so many customers! I had a tattoo from Emily 2 years ago and it was fine. She couldn't get me in for another and referred me to "Yogi". I sent him photos with a detailed explanation of what I was looking for. He never asked me to come in for a consultation or asked for clarification. He sure did take my deposit real quick. I got there early and from the moment I walked in the vibe in that place was OFF. They were all so rude and when he was told I was there he made a rude comment from the back of the building about me being early. He never greeted me or said anything until he came Up and said "so what did you want again?" Really?!? I left and didn't go back. Don't waste your money or time. He was so rude and unprofessional. He offered to fix the green earring. However I came into the shop twice to get this fixed and both times he was out. It was painful and super green. After that I went to another shop and they fixed it- not to mention they fixed it free of charge. Cleaned my ear really well and got me new, better jewelry. Said this happens a lot with this place. My experience was not too enjoyable. The day I got pierced I got 2 piercings in my ear. Like a week later I went out of town and my ear was super hot to the touch and swollen and ended up in the ER where the backing to my earring was also broken. I messaged Sean and he said that shouldn't happen and they were lying. So between him telling me that the first earring wasn't cracked and that the doctor and nurses lied to this one turning green and having to get it fixed elsewhere, I wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone. Not to mention the TONS of passive aggressive messages I got from him on Yelp after the last review of this place.... or from "Billy." Either way, I wouldn't ever come back here and would advise you to go elsewhere. This place was a local recommendation and I regret even getting said recs from people and regret coming here. My ear wasn't healing and constantly hurt despite me properly cleaning it all the time. Since it was replaced at the other shop there is no pain at all. I'm still cleaning it and all but I think it was just poor poor quality from the start. read more

My 11 year old daughter and I came in to get our ear lobes pierced and I was so impressed with the shop! The staff was very welcoming while we waited for Shawn to finish with the client before us. When it was our turn, Shawn walked us back to his station, checked our IDs and had me fill out the appropriate forms. When we were finished with that, he helped us pick out our jewelry, explaining all the choices we had with no pressure to upsell us on more expensive pieces. Then it was time to get down to business - every step of the way Shawn meticulously cleaned, then unwrapped the piercing tools and the jewelry we selected. He carefully marked our ears, I was very happily surprised to note that he used calipers to make sure his markings were centered. He explained every step to me and my very nervous daughter and was extremely professional. I went here to see Shawn about a nose piercing on Friday 6/2 and also wanted to inquire about the daith piercing since I frequently suffer from headaches. Third Energy is very clean and they acknowledge you right away. Shawn is very nice, professional and informative. I was concerned about getting the daith piercing right then because I currently had a headache that I had had for 4 days but decided to go ahead and get it on the side where my headache was. He did the nose first, it hurt but not terribly bad then he did the ear. Not gonna lie, it did hurt but seriously only for a second because he is so fast. He made sure he explain how to care for the piercings and also that I felt ok before leaving. And also--my headache went away as soon as the piercing went through and it still hasn't returned. I've heard there's people here who do amazing tattoos and have had friends get tattoos from Church and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM.. However, this review is regarding Shawn, the piercer..I've taken my daughter twice and he offers great prices, no doubt. However, I am allergic to the nickel content in surgical steel and require implant grade titanium...he did not offer hypoallergenic jewelry and was very nonchalant when I asked him if it when he would order some and he seemed to think I was wrong about my allergy and questioned the rings I wear..I explained that I've always been this way but I am most affected by piercings but other jewelry doesnt affect me as much.. he seemed to question my explanation even though I've had it with piercings my whole life. I feel like he didn't care to satisfy me, so I went elsewhere, and although they were pricey they offered a huge selection and way better service. Also, I've had no reaction to the implant grade titanium. My daughter accompanied me to have my piercing done and was highly impressed with the service I received as well and said she would be switching locations... Shawn would be great if he'd be more accommodating; however, I get the feeling that his clientele is so large that he doesn't seem to care to please one who is not a regular customer or personal friend . read more
