Asked for a special tattoo which would represent all my sports teams and my place of birth. I showed Aaron an idea of what I wanted and he fixed it up to be even better than I wanted. The shop is clean and not the typical "biker tattoo" shops seen in town where some may feel out of place. Will definitely be back for more tats! read more

Aaron W does magnificent work. The shop was immaculate. The other artists were very welcoming (busy)...both the space and vibe exceeded my expectations... but back to Aaron though lol...I presented a mess of a tat that I have wanted to do "something" with for years. Aaron came through in spades... his expert artistry and mastery of color breathed new life into the original tat...I was floored and it was only my first session! Can't wait for the next. You can't go wrong in this shop! read more

@kaiartistrycreations on Ig allowed me to come in as a walk in in order to get my first hand tattoo. I enjoyed the experience, having a pleasant talk with the owner of the establishment. I've been debating for the last year whether or not to get second lobe piercings. I had them pierced two years ago but they did not heal no matter what I did to take care of them. I stumbled on Madii's Instagram page one day and decided to just go for it. Madii has a great selection of jewelry to choose from and she takes walk-ins from 12-8. She was prompt in e-mailing me back and she was super sweet in person! She showed me the jewelry she had, explained the process and aftercare. Madii also sent me off with a brochure for aftercare and more info about the jewelry I have in. I highly recommend Madii for your piercing needs if you're in the area! The shop itself is clean and well kept. Everyone was very nice and acknowledged me immediately. I'll definitely be back for a tattoo or another piercing, whichever comes first :) read more

I was back in at Pretty in ink getting more work done on my sleeve, and as usual Aaron was Awesome. What I love about this place and having Aaron do my work, is he won't start pushing ink until both of you are totally satisfied with the look and placement of your piece. It's such a friendly atmosphere and always super clean. Thanks again Aaron. Can't wait to get back in and finish my sleeve. read more

I'll begin with noting, Aaron Wherry did beyond excellent work. Being from Bakersfield, I've had several pieces of work done in different local shops. After moving up to Sacramento, I've also had several pieces or work done up through California. That being said, Aaron is with out a doubt one of the most if not the most skilled artist I've had work on me. It was absolutely worth the drive from Sacramento. I look forward to future sessions. Bakersfield locals, consider yourselves lucky to have Aaron. The shop also has a very clean and welcoming atmosphere. I would absolutely recommend Aaron and the shop to anyone without reservations. read more

My siblings and I got siblings tattoos from Juan, but literally all of the artists were nice and inclusive. The facility was EXTREMELY clean. Juan, took his time with each tattoo and made me feel like my tiny tattoo was important to him. The price for quality work is expensive, but here the prices are fair. I would feel comfortable getting any work done by any artist at this shop. Thank you so much! BY the way, the owner Nick seemed like a genuinely good person. I could not be more happier with how everything turned out! read more

I absolutely love this shop. I have been going to this shop since 2017. My artist is Candi and I've been going to her since 2016. She's never let me down, she's very communicative, super friendly, super light handed, and very talented. Some tattoos I've given her picture ideas, some I've just given her a concept and she free hand drew it. I've never been disappointed in any tattoo she has given me. The shop is always very clean and has a nice vibe to it, very welcoming. I've gotten piercings done at this shop to and I've never been disappointed. I would absolutely recommend Pretty in Ink every time. read more

Wanted my third tattoo to remember an animal that passed recently. Found this shop and decided to contact Nick. He squeezed me in to accommodate my schedule. I gave him my thoughts and we made an appointment for today to see the design, make any changes and actually get the tattoo. Nick was super sweet yet professional. His design was just perfect and it looks even better in ink. His shading skills are second to none. The shop was super clean and that's great since I am anal retentive on those types of things. All in all an ideal experience today. read more

My son decided last minute he wanted to get a tattoo and was looking for a shop. We checked Yelp and other web info to get some ideas. He called several places and ended up speaking to Juan at Pretty in Ink. Juan was very friendly and had a positive attitude so he made an appointment. Once we got there (I tagged along). The shop was very clean, we were greeted right away and taken care of. Juan was very good at figuring out exactly what was wanted and went right to work. Everyone wore their masks and it was very clean and sanitation was followed very closely. They used high quality instruments j this place! read more

Madii is AMAZING! Went in and got my daith piercing. This place is super clean. Smells so fresh. I hate walking into tattoo shops because they all smell like cigs and weed. This shop smelled like a state-licensed and approved daycare. She was Extreme through and took everything step by step. It didn't even hurt. She's quick, but skilled. I highly recommend her. She customized by piercing fit my lifestyle. I love it. Thanks Madii!! read more

We had a Great experience at Pretty in Ink. My daughter got her belly button pierced, very clean and sanitary. She loves it. Aaron was very friendly and professional. The Master piercer was very informative about how to clean and care for the piercing. He was also very compassionate and made sure she was feeling well before she stood up and even once she stood up made sure she felt fine. The whole shop is very clean and everyone was friendly. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting a professional and clean experience. read more

This place deserves not even a one star. Went in today because I had called yesterday if they accepted piercing walk-ins they said yes their piercer leaves at 7pm (today). When I got there I got completely ignored, another person walked in and a female employee around 25 years old attended her quick. There was also another employee and he just walked right past me like some ghost. When they spoke to me I asked them about the piercings and the lady said if I had an appointment or just wanted to pass by and say "hello" what a joke. read more

Well, my guy Evan C. moved over here from another local shop and now when I am in town visiting from Seattle, I usually get more work done if I've got a few hours to spare. Evan is awesome and he always listens to input on what I'm wanting for my art. I always am happy to add to my tattoos. The location of the shop is great, it's just west of downtown and easy to find just off of Oak St. Parking can be sort of tough during peak hours, weekends especially, since they are right next door to Jake's restaurant (the shop is located on the 2nd floor, by the way). Just make sure to call ahead and make an appointment. I definitely recommend Pretty in Ink if you are looking to get your first tattoo or to just start adding to what you have. Aaron is an amazing tattoo artist and makes sure you're comfortable 100% of the process! I come here for my tattoos/piercings and bonus, Aaron has a light hand when tattooing so it doesn't hurt as bad, and its still pigmented and not patchy, he just doesn't dig in horribly (bonus for people nervous for their first tattoo). The only place I trust for my tattoos, they've all healed perfectly. And it's a very clean shop! Everything is sanitary. read more
