When I told a friend that I'm visiting Jefferson, she emphatically told me that I need to go to Third Day. I definitely agree this is a must visit in Jefferson! The ambiance is amazing: sit outside and you'll have the beautiful mountains as your scenery. Or you could sit inside their greenhouse! I spent like 2 hours here eating and reading. I had the Oldhouse Breakfast Burger, which was savory deliciousness and loaded with a runny sunny side up egg, bacon, onions, potatoes. I got the Tomato Soup as my side, which was also very tasty- I LOVED their croutons haha. I also had the Tiramisu Latte, which unfortunately I found way too sweet and was unable to finish. My fiancé and I had a much better experience this time around at Third Day Kitchen. It was a lot less crowded this time and we decided to sit outside. I think knowing what to do this time around (ordering via QR code) made it a lot easier. I started off with a latte with cinnamon & brown sugar flavoring w/ whole milk and it was great! I also got the BLT which I thought could have more mayo on it, but I'm glad it had less + then I could add more on my own. My fiancé got the burger which was messy but he said was really good. Had read the yelp reviews, so decided to stop for lunch. You order at the counter then they bring the food. Was a line to the door but we decided to wait, when we ordered they warned us the kitchen was behind and it would take 25 min for the food, it took maybe ten, but appreciated them setting the expectation. They have both indoor and outdoor covered seating. We chose to sit in the greenhouse area with all the beautiful flowers on such a gorgeous day and it added to the atmosphere. I started with the Me and My Peeps lotus flower based drink, it was delicious and I do think it gave me a hint of energy. I had the old house grilled cheese and it was yummy, it came with a side salad that was totally huge and fresh. My friends got the breakfast BLT special and the Italian sandwich. We all enjoyed our meals and said we would be back. We later heard from another friend they also have the best ice cream in town so another reason to go read more

By far my favorite breakfast joint in WJ! Everything was to the T, crispy bacon, delectable runny sunny side up eggs, perfect toast, and hash brown! The service is always a breathe of fresh air the girls all work together perfectly! Always a lighthearted good vibe in that joint with the workers asking to make sure everything's good and nothing else is needed. 10/10 also loved the February drink menu this year keep up the good work! read more

I have been to OHG several times, bringing different people with me each time. We always enjoy the coffee & the atmosphere of the patio. There is plenty of seating inside, outside & in the greenhouse as well. Staff are always kind, patient, & helpful no matter the crowd they are serving. You order at the counter & take your number to your table where you'll be served. The OH Breakfast Burger & Don's Turkey Melt are two menu items that I keep coming back to. We came here for brunch on a late Friday morning. They have their own parking lot with plenty of spaces. The first thing you notice is the incredible view across the street, beautiful porch and greenhouse along the storefront. We were greeted by the most lovely staff, who were beyond patient with our party of six's orders. We got breakfast sandwiches, one of their specials, pastries and coffees. You order at the counter and your food is brought out to you. Everything came out quickly and it was amazing!!! Delicious latte! I had their coffee of the week, which was cinnamon, vanilla, orange, and espresso. It's amazing with oat milk, and is sweet and cinnamon-y but not overly so. I asked for hot, but it came cold (without ice, good); maybe that's the default temperature for this latte, and it was still delicious. read more

Great view in their outdoor seating deck. The breakfast bowls are very complete, spectacular and probably enough to share! The Apple cider and coffee was delicious on a cold December day! We come to this area about once a year. We pass by this spot every time and forget about it once we are here. This time our hosts gave us a GC as a thank you for continuing to visit. We were excited and looking forward to eating there. Unless you know how it works it's confusing on the front side. You can order at the counter or by QR code at your table. Do not expect any service......you are basically on your own. I had to go in to ask for butter, then go back for jelly and silver, napkins and salt and pepper. I wish at least they would have a floater outside to get what you may need Or have it on the tables already. The outdoor seating was really nice though with beautiful Mountain View's. The food came out cold and it looked like some of those around us were not quite satisfied either. The omelets looked good but it appeared thats all you get is your omelet. Having said that......the coffee was good! Freshly ground and brewed. They have a lovely pastry case with all kinds of goodies. Our French toast we ordered to share was delicious!! It comes with a berry compote on it. So, if that's not your jam.....remember to say something. I wish I had. O my goodness... I'm at a loss of words. This truly was one of the best breakfast experiences I have had. The owner was so helpful when explaining the food and drink menu. I decided to order the breakfast bowl and a dirty chai which was very filling and extremely tasty. Once you order you are given a number and the employees bring you your food, we decided to sit outside and enjoy the incredible view. The prices were very reasonable and I definitely got the best bang for my buck, not to mention that the service was immaculate. Oldhouse Goods is a true gem. Wow! Incredible! It's about time this area has a great place to eat and meet friends for a lunch that's worth eating! 3rd time eating there and had to review! Chocolate cake is extremely addictive! Soup was better then any of the "Self Proclaimed Chefs" at other restaurants locally. Ruben was worthy of 5 stars! Service extremely helpful and courteous! Ambiance was definitely tops! I got tired of the typical local deep fried or poor quality food.... Had to go to Boone or Blowing Rock to eat.... While traveling through Jefferson for work I decided to stop and grab some food. I am happy I picked Oldhouse Goods Cafe. Not only is the scenery beautiful, but the service and food were 10/10. They serve lunch all day and I am always looking for early lunch places. I tried the Ruben special and the shrimp bisque. The shrimp bisque was excellent, it tasted like a she crab soup but obviously had shrimp as the protein, a little low country in the high country if you will.The Ruben was delicious from the bread to dressing, to the meat and sauerkraut.
